Rude and abrupt

Came here as every1 says how fab it is, us, well we don't know why.. we turned up 20 mins early, to be greeted with your early you can't book in yet. Never ever has this happened to us, we looked around at what pitch we wod like to bide the time. Bang on 12 the 2 men opened the office,, we were asked oh you have looked about what pitch do you want, so we said an they went oh u can't av that it's for an awning so we then chose 1 against the wall/fence of the boating place next door.. bad move.. after setting van up we were given the key to open the gates, to be rudly told oh u av been here b4 you know what to do.. which we hadn't been b4. Then was told what we needed, we then went for a walk along the water into the town and had a nose then came back on the water taxi, to the cottage pub.. which we did have a pint and glass if wine, what a lovely place, the food looked amazing. We then went back to the caravan settled in for the night.. well if you like a lay on, no way 930 the noise from the boating place was horrendous.. so thoughts about goin here again well for the wharf itself yes but the site I'm not to sure... brecon knocks spots off this site,, sorry just felt the wardens couldn't be bothered, it's not like the site is huge and needed lots of looking after,, look after the guests more they should.. people find it hard to book this site or book so far in advance, I don't get it.. and we have been to a few sites now

This is a great location for a site, the site itself falls short on many other CMC sites, the toilets are usual standard but dated, the washing up area again usual standard but dated

The pitches are a little cramped but I guess that benefits getting as many in as possible as it is such a popular site

The wardens are a bit "jobs worth" we got told we couldn't site outside our door as it is a continental van, our neighbours said they had no objection but the wardens insisted we carry our chairs to the other side of the van which was a pain with our dog as he likes to sit in the door way

Bristol itself is fabulous, local pubs are great, the river is great, the open top bus tour is great

I would personally have sat whichever side of the caravan I chose - regardless of a wardens requests Dawn. If back to the caravan late on a Summer's afternoon I sit wherever there is most shade as do many folk
