We've just had another four nights at this fantastic site (though we did have to book last October).
The site was as pristine as ever, with the all-important warm shower blocks and piping hot water.
We had loads of heavy rain at nights but the site drained freely and was fine.
We managed a couple of cycle rides, one to Blaise Castle Estate and one to Ashton Park and on to the suspension bridge and Clifton Downs.
The visitor book mentioned that the Cottage pub had improved but we didn't bother this time, catering for ourselves apart from lovely pizzas in the Stable Bar in the city.
We used the ferry to get there once (and back) and £3 return each was great value.
Also visited the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition at the M Shed, which was well worth it.
Here's hoping the C&MC manage to extend the lease again for this wonderfully located site.
A great little site
Baltic Wharf is a cracking little site to spend a few nights. Always clean, pleasant site staff and a wonderful location right on the wharf. The ferry trip into town or anywhere along the way is not to be missed - especially with the discount for being a member of CMC! Book well in advance if you can, or keep checking in for cancellations. It's worth it.

Never before.......
December 2016 I was able at last to book a pitch on this site !!!!
So popular with friends and with such a good reputation
Booked for New Year 2017
Arriving on site we were very happily surprised as to its position relative to the docks, SS Great Britain, the river and the City Centre
For three days we did not need the car
Also there is some great cycling and I would recommend the Railway path to Bath
Hope that the site stays permanently on the Club sites list
One of the Best
This site offers excellent standards in all areas, ideally situated for the river taxi up into the city and close to so many local interest features.
All facilities are kept in pristine condition which is testament to the hard working wardens because this site is virtually always on capacity.
We love staying here around xmas time and close by there are great pubs and restaurants to enjoy.
The Cottage pub is on the river just a few minutes walk from the sites river entrance and food is good value
We keep returning!😀😀
Everything about this site is excellent . We love it 💗
Staff are fabulous. Site is spotless everywhere.
Lots to see & do....can’t praise it enough
Thank you
Great site hope it can remain so.
I agree with most of the reviews, great site, brill location lots going on and plenty to see or do.
I also agree with the review about dogs as this site does not have a dog walk then maybe it should be a no dog site! having said that we all know its not the dog at fault it's the owners for letting it run loose or on one of those stupid extending leads things.
In my option the lead should be no longer then 2 metres on site, and the grassed areas around the site a "No Dogs Allowed Area". I have seen too many owners just let they little lovelies out of the Motor-home/caravan/awning without a lead, the dog rushes off to the hedge/grass verge to do its business they then come out call it put a lead on and wander off leaving the mess for someone else to pick up - usually on the bottom of a shoe.
Perhaps the site managers should enforce the dog rules a bit more BUT surely its up to us the members and particularly the dog owning members to enforce the dog rules it will be nicer for all of us then.
Wonderful location
Have just spent 4 nights at Baltic Wharf after a gap of 11 years, and the site is still the same even the toilet block but with the addition of Radio 2 playing, which was quite an experience whilst showering if you're not careful you can find yourself singing along to some of the songs, a tad embarrassing if there is someone else having a shower. Whilst I was there, the road outside the site was being resurfaced so more road noise than usual.
Bristol is a bike friendly city with numerous off road cycle paths.
I will definitely be returning next year, if I can get a booking that is
Brilliant location
6 nights over October half term
It’s took 10 years of trying to get on this site madness!!!!
Brilliant location walked in to Bristol most days loads of restaurants and bars round the docks we went to za za bazar Monday if you download the voucher £9.99 each.
Clean and tidy site we had no water one night but the warden let us no so we could fill up.
Very friendly wardens reading the reviews I hope the club keep the site it’s lovely staying in the heart of a city not having to drive x

Spotless facilities and site but not faultless
Stayed 25/10/17 for one night.
After trying to book the site for 5 months and checking the website every night during that time, 4 days before we were attending a concert in Bristol a pitch suddenly became free, obviously because of a cancellation. So I was very pleased as we could now walk to our gig and not have to get an expensive taxi from a pub carpark we were going to park our motorhome in.
On arrival, I was impressed the site is very well kept and a credit to the wardens, the pitch we were given was large and spacious and in the middle by the trees, so felt more secluded than the pitches around the perimeter of the site. Its was great to have gate keys too, so we could come and go as we pleased at night.
The facilities were equally spotless, well kept and impressive.
However, it wasn't a problem as such but because we had to rate the peace of quite of our visit I feel I should mention that my children were watching a DVD and we had to turn up the tv, louder than we wanted to for 2 reasons.
1. The warden going around the site with a petrol leaf blower (however I realise this is necessary)
2. We could hear the football supporters shouting over the tv every time a goal was scored!
Also I was woken up in the morning buy sliding doors on campervans, water barrels rolling on the tarmac and people stood by our motorhome talking loudly.
Yes this was at 9am but we were out late at the music gig the night before.
All in all a good spot but at £30 for one night it is expensive, as most club sites seem to be to be fair.
We had a quieter nights sleep the following night in a roadside layby and were not woken up!
We will visit the site again, if a pitch is available, but only to go to another Bristol gig or attraction.
But would recommend especially as the wardens kept it in such great order.
Could not agree more
My wife and myself both have family in Bristol and love to visit during August or September for a minimum of two weeks, we try to book as soon as the bookings open but have never managed to book the two weeks as the weekends are always fully booked.
We therefore booked for a week having to pull of on Friday to another site and return on the Monday because of weekend bookings, we asked the wardens if they could let us know if any cancellations came in, however by 11'oclock on the Friday there were no cancellations so we broke down the awning started to pack up when then, you've guessed it a cancellation came in so we basically wasted our Friday packing up and then setting up again.
Don't get me wrong, I agree that the club is for everyone, weekenders or longer term bookings, my gripe is that members who book early and then cancel without any penalties is just not fair.
I totally agree with some other member's that a deposit, or full payment should be taken when booking, especially on these popular sites.
When we visit Bristol now, this year for three weeks we stayed at a non Club site which is not our first choice!
