Only managed to stay 1 night, but wished it was longer. Great welcome from the brilliant wardens Chris and Guy, they were working so hard due to Covid, but still had time to help us get settled. Safe and informative book in system, facilities spotless. Lots to see and do just outside the wooden gate to the wharf. Thank you.
Superb Wardens
Had,a great time,at Baltic Wharf, the Wardens Matt and Gemma are fantastic, they are very friendly, and you feel very safe on here the cleanliness is unbelievable, they are on the go all the time making sure everything is clean and safe, the best wardens you have had there in a long time. Was worried about going because of Covid, but put our minds at rest, so much so we,are there again this week, a great site, plenty to walk and see off site, lovely to sit out at night, security is great, gates locked at night. And very friendly helpful wardens for a change.

Great location but our long awaited trip was adversely affected by Covid
This site is in such a fab location and is well laid out, given how small it is. We booked 16 months ago, Covid put paid to that stay, then we dropped lucky and got a cancellation.Unfortunately we couldn't make the most of our stay, due to Covid closures- all the museums and several pubs/cafes including the Cottage pub next door were closed. We called in The Pump House for a drink and were refused, despite all but one table being occupied. The SS Great Britain was open and was well worth a visit. We walked (up hill) to Clifton and ate there which was lovely.
For drivers of extra long outfits- we really struggled to exit into the roadworks, thank god the local drivers were so patient
Great central location
Great for visiting the centre as so close, quiet site, but very busy. Don't expect countryside as this is not what it is, an unusual site. Close to SS Great Britain and also the Clifton Suspension bridge. Site clean and up to standard, would visit again, but this may be limited due to possible Bristol vehicle restrictions. Ideal for walking into the centre and to other tourist attractions

Lovely site with great views, but yet again miserable wardens
Just got back from Bristol, love the location of this site and yes the facilities are getting a little tired but with the impending closure I understand. Been to some great sites recently with some great friendly wardens but I have also encountered wardens that seem to forget that we are paying for the service and they are not doing us a favour. We had mixed weather over the weekend so wanted to take advantage of today's great weather a tick a few more things from the to do list and politely asked for a later chevkout (as per point 15 in the CMC guide). We received a firm no and told even though the site was only half full they did need to follow that rule and needed to be off by 11:30. Where is the common sense of this? I understand when sites have full bookings but in this case it felt purely it was someone trying to force the authority! Had similar experience in York Rowntree from arrogant wardens....Hawes, Buxton, Castleton & Kendal where fantastic in comparison. FAO all wardens please remember we are paying customers, you are not doing us a favour you have function and you are there to facilitate our stay and provide a service by looking after us and the facility. With no customers you are not needed, please reflect on this!

A site full of memories!
We have visited this site many times as a couple and previously with our children having many happy times. It is exactly what you want from a site within walking distance, along the floating harbourside,of the city. We have so many great memories of visiting both during winter and summer. So sad that a closure now seems inevitable. Keep watching and grab a cancellation iwhilst you can.

Development of site is getting nearer
A functional and well run site with friendly wardens. The facilities are basic but very clean and, with the impending development, no chance of them being upgraded. A pleasant walk into Bristol and up to Cabot Tower, where dogs can run freely. We only noticed on our last day that The Cottage pub nearby was dog friendly or we would have used this if only for a coffee and snack. Local shop nearby for papers and provisions.
Probably our final visit to Baltic Wharf
This was our seventh visit to this site. With the City council's plans for redevelopment and the diesel vehicle ban we suppose we have just said our goodbyes. Inevitably the Club has a wasting asset but nevertheless the site is well kept and the facilities in very good nick. All credit to the wardens. We hope an alternative site can be found to provide for further visits to this city.

Top City Site
This is a lovely city site (so not peaceful! ) clean, tidy and a fabulous welcome it is so sad it will be closing, Bristol are loosing a valuable, unique asset. Tourism brings a lot to the city. Absolutely worth a visit if you can get in before it closes.
Baltic Wharf - Sitting by the Dock of the Bay
Baltic Wharf site is top of our favourites list, we have been a few times in the past. We stayed on this site for 10 nights over the Christmas and New Year period. Enjoyed ever minute of it, quite, compact site, great wardens, easy to walk into Bristol centre and elsewhere.
I run my own media business and spend many hours taking photographs and compiling editorial for various Lifestyle and Tourism magazines where ever I go with the caravan. I am able to travel by foot or cycle many miles around Bristol from the Baltic Wharf site with ease. If you are not good on foot, catch the Ferry out side of the gate and sail down to the city centre and back. Some exciting views along the way.
On a relaxing summer day just walk out the dock gate (key required) take your chair, a good book, bottle of wine and sit by the Dock and watch the rest of the world go by.
Long may it reign but by the look of things with the council agreeing to a proposal to build 600+ luxury apartments, etc on the site and indicating that building will start later this year, 2020 the signs for Baltic Wharf as a caravan site look rather remote.
When the day comes lets hope a replacement site can be just as exciting.
