We had a midweek break at Balbirnie Park to try out our new caravan. This site is just over 10 miles from home but it felt like we were really much further away. We love the layout of the site with its small cul-de-sac areas set amongst well established trees. If you want all day sun then this is not the site for you. Toilets were spotless and the Wardens had put a lot of effort into their ftubs of flowers and herbs.
Dog owners will like Balbirnie Park as there is a massive park right next door where you can freely exercise your dogs and yourself! We do it play golf but the course is apparently a good one.
Markinch has all the facilities you need shops, take away, pubs etc. And Gllenrothes is about a 5 minute drive away where you will find Morrisons,Asda and Aldi supermarkets as well as the Kingdom Shopping Centre.
The site is well situated for travelling to St. Andrews, Edinburgh and Dundee.Bus stops just outside the site and a railway station in Markinch.
We will be back next year, and we love our new caravan!
Excellent
Great site with superb faciluties & location. Nearby golf clubhouse does a great breakfast. On downs are no wi-fi and gravel not compavted enough so manouvering with a mover quite difficult. Great wardens and superb local shop - clean, well stocked & butteties a must!
Only lacking internet
Wonderful facilities, clean and up to date. This was our second visit as we liked the site a lot the first time. My only disappointment was that we were told they would have internet by the end of the summer and they do not. Site is with in walking of train and bus so easy to go to Edinburgh for the day.

Great CC Site, worth a visit.
Just got back from the site, had a great 4 days there, even enjoyed the antics of the squirrels.
The staff are really friendly & helpful, will definitely stay at the site next time we are in the area. The park next to the site is great for walking the dogs, even suitable for riding mountain bike "only slowly though".
1st Class in everyway
This is our 3rd visit, the site is wonderful. Great location, beautiful site. Facilities are excellent, wow WC blocks are immaculate. The staff are just brilliant. Thank you so very much. Yes we will be backĀ

Excellent location
A lovely friendly site, centrally located in Fife near Glenlothes. Nice setting in woodland with excellent clean and warm facilities. The large adjacent park offered wonderful walks for our dog. We would highly recommend this site.
Markinch surprise
Wardens really helpful and friendly. A wealth of information given to us about the local area and Scotland in general. Site is spotless and colourful. great location for exploring Edinburgh, especially as train station is within walking distance away. Only had 3 days here but will definitely return.
Great site for touring
wardens very friendly and informative, Site very well looked after only comment is no wifi also tv signal hard to locate.
Good site for regional exploration.
Very helpful, pleasant and hardworking wardens; facilities all very clean (club should provide more wash & shower rooms). Some damp patches on grass pitches (also makes difficulty in cutting grass). Required an extra long electric lead to reach the supply. Some pitches overlooked by houses. Country park next door is a wonderful asset, for locals & the site, hotel there provided an excellent glass of wine. Excellent venue for visiting Amstruther, Crail, Elie & St Andrews.
Hubby and dog happy
This site is a short distance of the shops and amenities. Large beautiful park next door. Hubby loved short walk to pub and dog loved the park. Toilet and showers spotless. Site is a little woody. Hard to find a pitch that Is tree free. Wardens hard working. The flowers around the site are lovely and takes a stroll around markinch and you will find some very old interesting buildings.
