Ashridge Farm Club Campsite
I stayed here for 4 days in March. It's a lovely little camp site, well looked after and very clean. The Wardens are friendly, kind and helpful. There's been comments about the showers but I found the one I used every morning good and have no idea on what they mean by an upgrade. I loved the site so much that I've booked to go back again in May and August. Would definitely recommend it if you're in the area.
Back Again ....
Our 4th visit to Ashridge, and maybe our last. The site itself is lovely, small and usually quiet (apart from house building going on behind the site). Facilities are always clean, although there is a need for an update, and the wardens are always nice and cheerful. Its close enough for a 20m evening walk to Ashwell to visit the nice pubs, and for a stroll round the village. The problem for us is getting to the train station which is a 2 mile 30m walk, half of which is along a narrow and busy lane with no pavement. Whilst this is doable in daylight, coming back as we did in the evenings means walking at least a mile in the pitch dark, trying to make sure cars saw you to avoid you. The train service is very good to get into London or as in our case to visit family in Stevenage, but after one near miss I think we will have to stop. If you have your own transport this is indeed a lovely site.
Great site, but not much for kids to do.
Very nice little site. We'll laid out. Staff very good and friendly. Facilities very clean but the showers need an upgrade. Lovely touch with the shed to borrow books and DVDs and further information on the area. Very quiet and well run site.
We have 2 kids. 12 and 10. Nothing for them to do on site. And when weather bad. WiFi was very patchy. Phone signal not great either.
3 pubs in walking distance. Overall. Nice site but had an Adult only feel to it.
THRIPLOW DAFFODILS
We stayed here for 4 nights while we had a stall at the Thriplow Daffodil Festival in March, staff very helpful, site very clean and tidy, easy walkable access into Ashwell, The Rose and Crown staff were very friendly and food was very good.
Would highly recommend and will be back for a longer stay
Birthday visit
Lovely site, well maintained, lovely wardens.
Three pubs within walking distance, each has their own uniqueness.
Try each one and decide for yourself!
Smashing bakers with loads of different sandwiches to take away.
Lovely small cafe/shop.
Beautiful church and grave yard for quiet contemplation.
Now Caravan Club do your bit. THEY NEED A SHOWER UPGRADE!!!!!!!
Lovely Little Site !
We used this site as a "stop over" and to visit family near Cambridge. It is a lovely little site, so peaceful and quiet. It is in a perfect location for walks and is near to the quaint village of Ashwell. The wardens provided us with plenty of walling sheets/maps , and we were sorry not to stay longer. Would definitely stay here again.

A small but lovely site
Have stayed here a few times, and whilst not a lot seems to have changed, it’s still a site that we choose for visiting family in Stevenage. Wardens cheery and helpful, facilities always clean and close enough to Ashwell for an evening stroll to the pub. Links via a couple of buses during the day and the railway station at Odsey. Facilities need a bit of an update and wifi could be better, but other than that it’s a great place
What a gem
Paul and Marie make this site so special from the minute you arrive you feel welcome. The site is well maintained very quiet and peaceful, within easy reach of so many attractions, must sees are Audley end House and Wrest Park both English Heretige and within 40 minute drive from the site. The towns of Letchworth and Hitchin are both worth a visit, when we visited Hitchin they were hosting a food festival was very good. We will definitely be back. Thank you Paul and Marie for making us feel so welcome.
Great Location for a stop over
We have used this site before as a stop over when returning home from the North East of the UK. It is perfectly located and easy to access. Staff were friendly upon arrival but sadly from our home town so that always delays my dear lady as she embarks upon a life story exercise (so apologies to the staff for this :)). We had another lovely walk into the village so our daughter could play in the Springs and the park and of course to allow a visit to the 3 Tuns for an afternoon tea. The facilities were ample and clean and one day we will likely spend a little more time here and explore the area further. Thank you!
Peaceful site
Paul and Marie are so welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble.
Site clean and well kept. Lovely clean, hot showers.
Its a small, quiet site which we like.
We will return!
