Peace and quiet, but with such good transport links into London
It was very easy to find this site, and the access was plain sailing. Our welcome was very friendly and helpful, and all contact with the staff was lovely, we felt like they were pleased to see us. The pitches were cleverly spaced so that you were not overlooked,and even though half of the site was closed due to groundwork, that did not diminish our enjoyment of the stay.The shower blocks were very clean and well organised, and the free hairdryers just made everything easy.
It was a two minute walk to the bus stop that was direct to Greenwich, and then we used trains, buses and the DLR which were all very accessible, and by using a contactless card, good value for money. There is a Sainsburys superstore just ten minutes walk from the site which stocked every household item that you may have forgotten. We were woken by the chainsaws and the woodpeckers, which were both very pleasant reminders that we were staying in a wood.
