An absolute gem!

Stayed here on a bit of a whim for some well deserved R&R. Stayed for 8 nights. The owners (Kathy and Jo) were so welcoming, informative, friendly and helpful. Everything was so easy to set up on a hardstanding with the the most amazing backdrop..the Mendips. The site was immaculately clean and so well cared for. The toilets and shower was nice and clean. Easy to get on and off the site. A great place for a bit of peace and quiet..with no kids! They even have a dedicated area to walk your dog if you have one. We had e-bikes with us..extremely helpful.with all the hills around! There is so much to see and do in the surrounding area. Not.much else we can can really...just that the site and the owners were perfect. Thanks so much

Lovely peaceful stay

Had a lovely few days here at Woodlands. Owners couldn't have been more helpful. The site is spotless and very well maintained. The added area for the dogs to have some off lead running around was excellent. I would highly recommend this site.

Wonderful site

This is a fabulous site. We were met by the owner who was most helpful and kind. We were invited to choose our own pitch, and given a pass fob for the front gate, meaning that security was reassuring. Our instructions on arrival were simple and straightforward. The site itself is well manicured with deer statues on the lawns. Pitches both hard standing and grass are extremely generous. It is very quiet, despite being on a main road. Dogs are welcome and there is a dog run available. The shower and toilet were of a high standard and immaculately clean (note the singular, there was only one toilet and one shower). The site is sloping, so ramps and blocks are required. There are lots of activities locally, and the city of Wells is just a 10 minute drive away, but the site is very rural. Overall we cannot fault the site, location or the owners. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back, should we be in the southwest of England.

Very nice well maintained site

Just returned from a short 4 night stay. Chose the site at short notice after being let down by another cl just 24hrs before one of our party was scheduled to arrive. I didn't give this a full 5 star rating across the board as I think the cost per night is high for a non serviced pitch. Also although the site details state wifi, this is not the case for the CL, which barely got a signal at the closest pitch. This was compounded by very poor mobile signal in the area. That said the CL was well maintained, clean and pitches were large hardstandings big enough for car, caravan and awning. Owners were very pleasant and friendly greeting us when we arrived Would I consider a return visit - possible, but would like to see improvements in wifi signal and serviced pitches at the cost per night.

Easily one of the nicest sites I’ve ever stayed on

A lovely site with everything you could ever need, the people that run it are lovely and clearly nothing was a problem. Has everything you could want and it’s pristine.

What a stunner of a site

Everything you expect from a CL and then some more. Immaculately kept site with loads of room. Very quiet and peaceful yet the road to all the local sites is right next to the site. We heard no road noise all the time we were there. There is a toilet and shower on site which are both kept clean and tidy and there was absolutely loads of hot water. Good facilities for waste water (both grey and chemical) and very good WiFi. There is even a fenced dog walking area which was a real bonus. The owners are very friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. Would recommend without hesitation.

Great site in great location

Just returned from a 6 night stay at Woodlands, it’s a lovely site with stunning views from the pitches. It was easy to visit Wells, Glastonbury and all other beautiful locations, the site was easy to find and nice big entrance. The site is just off the main road but is secure, we were provided with a key fob which automatically opens the gate when coming and going. The shower and toilet looked clean but we used our own facilities, the service points and bin areas immaculate. The site has two fields one is the club CL and the other a small commercial site, both had hard standing or grass pitches to choose from and you could stay on either. We chose to stay on the CL as it had larger pitches but we were warned the Wi-Fi reception was not as good as the commercial site however it was very poor to non existent which was a shame. the CL field was very uneven as you travel to the grass pitches but the pitches themselves were even. The grass on the CL was quite long and did need cutting as we noticed the commercial site had been cut and was quite short. They also have a great enclosed dog walking area and would definitely recommend this site but think the CL needs the same attention to detail as the commercial site.

Attractive and really well maintained site in excellent location

We stayed for 2 nights recently as our ‘motorhome initiation’. We will be very happy Motorhomes if all sites are like this. The location is great, close to a main road but still quiet and with clean and accessible on-site facilities. Kathy and Joe take great pride in what they do and we’re friendly and helpful hosts. The local scenery is beautiful and there are plenty of good walks for all levels of fitness from the site on lanes and quieter footpaths too. Wells and Glastonbury also within easy reach.

Perfect

A wonderful CL in a beautiful party of the country. The site is immaculate and the owners take pride in what they do. They couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Great dog walking field on site which again is kept really clean. Easy access by bus to a host of places of you don't have a car with you. We can't recommended Woodlands highly enough.

Gem of a CL in Somerset

Beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean site. The facilities were immaculate at all times. The owners were constantly checking, cleaning and mowing, resulting in a very pleasurable stay all round. The site benefits from absolutely stunning views and is a super location for visiting the nearby places of interest, Cheddar Gorge - Glastonbury - Weston-Super-Mare - Wells. The owners Joe and Kathy were dedicated to making our stay a success and a pleasure. This they achieved and more. We will definitely use this site again when we are in the area.
