What a beautiful well run site with Cathy and Joe being perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble for them, set in beautiful countryside will certainly be visiting again
We loved our two night stay on this very well organised site. We were welcomed on arrival firstly by Kathy and later by Joe. We has a choice of pitch. Lovely toilet and shower facility too. We walked to Ebbor Gorge from the site. Great views from the Mendip Hills towards Glastonbury. Visited Wells which is a short drive away. Glastonbury food market - fab eats. From Glastonbury we biked along the Bittern Trail to Avalon Marshes RSPB centre. We walked Cheddar Gorge too. All a short distance from the site. Kathy also keeps a stock of locally produced wine from Perch Hill in her fridge. We bought a bottle and really enjoyed it.
Couldn't fault our stay. Lovely! Thank you!
We stayed at Woodlands during early September in good weather. As others write, the site is immaculately cared for by welcoming and friendly hosts. There are currently two fields. The top one has hard standing pitches which are on a slope. In this field is the toilet and shower. The lower field is recently opened and has grassed pitches. Most pitches are on uneven ground although there are a couple of flat ones but which don’t have the bst views. The site is generally quiet although there are occasional cars that pass along a track to a stables. Outside the entrance gate is a main road that has an excellent bus service to glorious Wells and other towns. A good site that I’d readily commend although at £22 per night it is expensive for a CL.
We have just spent a very relaxing 4 days at this lovely CL. We had a very warm welcome from Joe and Kathy when we arrived. They have improved this site enormously since our last visit 8 years ago, and have now installed decent roads and hardstandings. Your caravan/motorhome pitches on the hardstanding, but your awning will be on grass. Or if you prefer to be on a grass pitch, these are also available, Although the site is directly off a main road, because it is down in a slight valley there is very little road noise. The whole site is kept in immaculate condition, and they have even installed a brand new dog walk area for members use.
We will certainly be back for another relaxing break. Thank you Kathy and Joe.

Immaculately maintained lawns. Huge field with loads of space. Very tranquil location. Close to cheddar, Glastonbury, wells and lovely local walk to Ebor gorge. Nice pub 2 miles away. Great hosts - very friendly and welcoming. Toilet and shower very clean. Highly recommended.
Delightful CL. Very well designed and maintained to the highest standards.Beautiful spot with striking scenery. Wifi included. On a regular bus route. Friendly welcome from helpful owners Kathy and Joe. Will return. Geoff and Lynne. .
Spent three nights in this lovely site. Beautiful location, well kept site with friendly and helpful owners. Enjoyed local walks and cycle rides plus a visit to Wells just down the road. Would love to return.
A beautiful site immaculately kept. Short cycle ride through the backroads to Wells. Also easy access to the Somerset levels and some great easy cycling. Numerous local walks and security on site when out is excellent. Will be back
Pleasant and tranquil site, well maintained and clean throughout. Superb views from all the pitches and a choice of hardstanding or grass, complete with electric hookups. From the site it is easy to reach many places like Wells, Cheddar or just take a walk across the Mendips.
We had a few very enjoyable days at the site and would recommend it to anyone looking for a site in the area.
Just spent 6 nights here. Lovely site, gentle slope but we never had to use any blocks. Due to Covid toilets were closed but we knew this before we went. There is 2 taps available, EHU on each pitch. Lovely lawned well kept grounds. Space for 5 vans on hard standing and 2 on grass if you would prefer that. Never more than 5 vans there while we were there. There are 2 lodges (were not in use while we were there) but it is so spacious it would not be a problem. The spaces for the vans are nicely separated and you are not on top of each other.
The owners were amazing and friendly and very helpful on where to go for good walks etc. Credit where credit is due. Loads of lovely walks. Bit strenuous at times (but that’s probably cause we are not the fittest of people đŸ˜‚)
Cheddar village only a few miles away. Shops not far in Wells (Tesco, Lidl, Morrison’s etc). The town is very nice. Lovely cathedral and plenty places to have a coffee.
I would not hesitate to book here again if we are down there again
Thank you
