No Room For Improvement

My husband and I stayed at Welltrough for 4 nights - it was simply perfect. The site owner Nick is great with communication and it is very clear a lot of thought has gone in to every detail for club members. The pitches are fantastic, all very level with easy accessibility. The facilities are spotless and the onsite laundry room is really cheap - £1 for a 1 hour wash cycle and £1 for a 1 hour dry cycle. Views are fantastic and easy access to local amenities. We would love to return again soon. Thank You Nick for a lovely stay.

Perfect Site For Us

Honestly there is nothing not to enjoy about this site. Positioned in peaceful countryside with superb views. Fantastic neighbours (Alpacas, goats, sheep , chickens) who were perfectly behaved! Lovely, easy to follow walks direct from the site, which the owner has taken time to carefully create with short cut grass. Unbelievably the walks lead you to a local dog friendly pub which we used for a superb Sunday lunch! Facilities and pitches are all developed by an experienced caravaner who knows what is needed to make your stay a pleasant one. We chose this site because of its easy access for Norwich away games in the north west but even if it was out of the football season we would definitely use again. Thanks for welcoming us Nick!

Tranquill

We've stayed twice now, once on the general pitch and once on the CL Pitches, both have amazing views. We prefer the CL pitches as they are flatter. We absolutely love the walks around the farm, as does our dog, well looked after mown paths, which each time have been different because of the farming seasons, and a decent length walk, approx 3 km, but different routes for longer or shorter walks. Toilet and shower facilities are always clean and tidy, everything has that well loved and looked after vibe all round. We also loved the fact that the site is secure with codes to gain entry. Added bonus one farm walk results in a beer in the pub just a 15 minute walk away. All in all we have found a gem of a site and will definitely be regulars here.

Perfect for us …..

We have stayed here several times both on the CL section and on the general pitches. We look for fully serviced pitches and no children ….. so this site is perfect for us. Well secured, and pleasant surroundings with a handy mown walk around the fields. We use our caravan facilities so cannot comment on Welltrough showers etc. The owner runs things well, but there is a relaxed feel to the site, that belies the hard work behind the scenes. It is up there with the best.

Beautiful place to stay

Beautiful place to stay, clean well maintained facilities and superb collection of Books and DVDs. Laundry absolutely great as felt like home not expensive at all Thank you Nick. Nick a wonderful host will assist with anything you need. We did not leave the camp but enjoyed the magnificent views all round. Lovely walk through the field, especially for customers with dogs. Nick was kind enough to let our little cat wander near our site. Fantastic stay definitely recommend and we will be back. Thank you Nick.

Peaceful overnight stay

We stayed here for just 1 night. Had an excellent pitch on the CL part of the site. Facilities clean and excellent (2 toilets, 1 shower and dishwashing all close to CL). Very good signposted 'Farm walk' around the fields and a walk to the local pub (unfortunately closed for us on a Monday). The pitchs are a very generous size, particularly on the main site and the views from the CL are excellent.

Excellent site…

I’ve given Welltrough Farm 5 stars for all the rating areas. It is a lovely area and the whole site is set up and run excellently. The views from the CL are lovely and the whole site very peaceful. As a dog owner the 3km walk round the margins of the feilds is exceptional and the mown grass would be the envy of many gardeners ! Showers and toilets very clean. Security excellent with 3 separate gates. Nice walk to 2 different pubs all off road ( only one was open as the other being refurbished ). All in all very good and I would return and recommend. I would just mention though it’s not really a CL. The Cl field is fenced and security gated but there are approx 20 other pitches, a shepherd’s hut and 3 really nice pods with hot tubs. Don’t let this put you off though… as I said at the start of my review I’ve given 5 stars in all areas & I would come back.

Lovely setting, peaceful, lovely pub 10 minutes walk.

Lovely views, peaceful site. Access easy and close to lots of attractions. Pub lovely 10 minute walk. Might be a bit tight for facilities if the site was full, as only 2 toilets and one shower.

5 Star rating for this fabulous site.

We have been regularly visitors to this tranquil site in Cheshire for nearly 6 years. As soon as we arrive we feel calm and relaxed. The 3k walk is beautiful ; Nick has created and maintains this fabulous lawned walk. We have stayed on the CL, hardstanding and grass pitches. All are large areas which are maintained to a very high standard. The toilets, showers and washing up areas are spotless. The dog shower is great for cleaning dirty paws before going back into the caravan . Nick is seen regularly around the site working non–stop around this lovely site. There are plenty of attractions within a short distance to visit whatever the weather.

Peaceful and scenic site

A very well laid out site, with separate areas. We were on pitch 3 in the CL with far reaching views. The CL has an additional security gate to the general farm entry. The hard standing pitches are ample in size with a good grass space to the side. Fully serviced with adequate facilities, although we used our own shower. Very nearly every pitch has a view. The farm walk was excellent, as was the path to the local pub, so no road walking required. Overall an excellent stay, thank you.
