Peace & Tranquility

CL in what can only be described as staying in National Trust Gardens - beautiful trees & gardens. The pitches are private from each other (you need levellers, but totally achievable). There is a small shower/toilet & sink which was lovely & clean and hot good pressure shower. We were on the site with friends and had it to ourselves, Jill was happy for the dogs to be off lead as it was just us, which was great We enjoyed Sunday lunch in the village pub and all the staff were friendly & welcoming. The CL is down some narrow lanes, which might scare some people, we are in a VW so wasn't a problem & the entrance is a little narrow, but so worth it if you choose to visit Look forward to going back

The cream of Cornwall

Well, having read the reviews I was looking forward to the cl but a bit cautious about access. Yes, it’s “tight” and the last mile of the journey is shall we say “character building” but not really an issue if I’m honest. Now to the review - I really don’t want to write this as it will probably now be full every time we try to book but…………. The welcome is genuine, the field/garden resembles a stately home the toilet/shower clean and tidy and it’s oh so quiet. If Carlsberg did cl’s this would be it😀. This really is the best cl we have stayed on. Andy,Liz and Riley

Beautiful.

This site is simply beautiful, and the owners Eric and Jill are exceptional hosts. As has been noted by other reviewers the roads into this site are tight (but then, it is Cornwall), and from the village, steep, which can make it interesting. I mention this only for information - don't be put off! Highly recommended.

Tranquility

Fabulous quiet, beautifully kept garden site. Jill and Eric are really lovely people. The London Inn do a good Sunday roast. Probably not ideal for larger units as the last 3 miles are quite narrow and the gates are tight. But this is a real gem for smaller units and if you want a peaceful place it's hard to beat.

A superb find

What a superb site. Eric and Jill were wonderful hosts. Will definitely return. Just returned from an 11 day holiday here and missing it already.

Five star site, fantastic owners

After Lockdown1 was lifted in 2020 we, like everyone else, were desperate to escape the confines of our home town and sought a 2 week holiday destination fairly near the seaside but that wouldn't be too busy. Tremarkyn completely ticked all the boxes. So much so, that at the end of our holiday in 2020 we immediately booked another 2 weeks in July 2021. We recommended the site to my parents who also visited last year and returned again this year. Around 8 miles from Looe and on the outskirts of Bodmin Moor, Tremarkyn Farm is ideally placed for visits to both the North and South Coasts of Cornwall, whilst affording visitors (adults only) complete peace and tranquility. Yes, the roads to the site are narrow, but that's only to be expected in Cornwall and its well worth the journey! Entering through the farm gates and driving down to the site has a very French feel to it...you could be driving up to a farmhouse in Brittany. The site itself is immaculate - beautifully landscaped and large pitches which are divided by trees to give a little privacy. There is a small toilet, basin and shower room which we did not make use of but were told is immaculately clean. Bins, including recycling, are discreetly hidden behind a hedge. Trago Mills is around three miles away and sells just about anything you need and is worth a visit. A number of supermarkets are within a short drive. The London Inn is less than a mile from the site and although we didn't eat there we did visit for a couple of drinks and sat in the small courtyard with our two dogs. On the last night we had a delicious meal delivered from Tapenades, a small restaurant in Liskeard which is used regularly by the site owners and came highly recommended...and we can wholeheartedly agree! The icing on the holiday cake are the owners, Eric and Jill. They are the perfect hosts which we quickly learned last year, and were a big factor in our return this year. Despite a very difficult year for them, they are still welcoming visitors with a smile. They are an incredibly interesting couple, very helpful and will happily recommend places to visit and give advice on the area. They are both an absolute pleasure to spend time with and we look forward to seeing them both again on our next visit.

what a great site

Found the site the site to be very clean with great views, and easy of access to north and south Cornwall. Getting to the site is challenging with narrow roads, and a narrow gate.

Best CL

We loved this CL ,the nicest we have visited. It is very peaceful & quiet with immaculate gardens , it is a credit to Eric & his wife who were very welcoming & helpful. We would love to return as it was such a lovely change from a farm CL to be in a beautiful garden. The roads are narrow as expected for Cornwall but we managed with our twin axle caravan.

What a find.....

What can we say? If it's peace and tranquillity you are after, then Tremarkyn is the ideal site for you. Eric was very welcoming on our arrival and showed us to our pitch. As previous reviews, we were left alone to enjoy our stay but knew that Eric or Jill were on hand if we needed anything. The pitches are flat on lush well kept grass. Driving here was no problem. The site is very picturesque and the grounds it is set in are well tended. All pitches have electric hook up and shrubs / trees growing between the pitches. For your use there is a separate toilet / shower room which is immaculate. This CL site is set within the grounds of a lovely cottage garden that is well kept and there are frequent wild life visitors. We thoroughly enjoyed our little weekend getaway, can 100% recommend it and.....we will be back!!!!

Really Delightful & Welcoming

This describes both the CL itself and Eric & Jill our hosts.     We were privileged to see the driveway to the CL in all its spring colour and profusion and thoroughly enjoyed our very restful, peaceful and quiet stay.     Eric & Jill, while not at all intrusive in any way, were very attentive and welcoming.    We had a meal at The Highwayman in Dobwalls where the food was excellent and reasonably priced.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          while not at all intrusive in any way, were very attentive and made us feel so welcome.     We had one meal out while there; at the Highwayman in Dobwalls where the food was excellent and reasonably priced.
