Our satnav wanted to take us right before the farm but look out for the small CL sign on the left and keep going. The CL area is mainly to the right of the farm drive but there is a pitch on the left and water taps on both sides. Chemical toilet disposal is in a shed at the top of the area. All so pleasant and peaceful. Picnic tables were a nice touch. Friendly and very welcoming family. Easy access to power and we all had views across the farm to the hills. The train line runs in the valley but didn’t bother us. Enjoyed birds of prey and the peahens which make a daft noise when disturbed. Right out of the farm drive, through the village and take the gate on the left by the bridge down onto the canal . We biked to Pewsey and then onto Honey street mill cafe which was lovely. The going is a bit rough so make sure you have padding. We enjoyed lunch and a wander around the shops. This is a working farm so don’t be surprised if late night harvesting takes place in August! It didn’t bother us at all.
Great Site
We have just returned from this lovely site, which has a lot to offer. We were so relaxed here and found so much to do, that having initially booked for one week we stayed for a second. How many sites can you sit outside your caravan drinking a cup of tea, and twice get a visit from a Busted, for those not in the know there has been a ten year scheme to re-introduce these birds from Russia. As others have mentioned the canal is in easy reach and we enjoyed the long walks along it. We were surprised at the large number of thatched picture book cottages in the area, which all made exploring great fun. Caroline was extremely helpful, and did the best she could to accommodate us. Given the opportunity we will not hesitate to return here. The site would benefit from a little more attention to tidiness around the waste areas and recycling, otherwise a great site.

Tranquil Site
We have just had a three night stay on this CL. The views and sunsets over the hills were lovely. The owners are friendly and welcoming. It did rain heavily overnight on our last night and the following morning, but because the site is situated on a hill on chalky soil, it doesn't end up boggy. The site is close to interesting places. Couldn't fault the site and hope to make a return visit.
Pleasant site
Nice quiet site with good views, it has everything you want on a CL including easy access to local services. The coordinates seem to be a bit if an issue, the site is on 51.353140 -1.732170 not other recommended coordinates.
Another Good CL
We spent a lovely weekend at this CL at the end of June. Easy to find although CL signs are low down and easy to miss, so take it steady after leaving the main road.
Site is level grass and there is lots of space, so plenty of pitching options. There is also a bit of hardstanding just before the main site. EHU and water taps well spaced along the hedge. Good CDP with tap for rinsing.
The site is fairly quiet, just a few cars and tractors use the road past the site, the railway runs along the bottom of the field, but we hardly noticed the trains.
There are some nice views from the site of Martinsell Hill, which we walked up, and you can see the caravans from the top.
There is a nice footpath at the end of the site which goes to the village, nice for dog walking, the footpath is also used by some of the locals. You can also walk the farm field margins.
We visited Avebury, which is well worth visiting. We didn't see the owners, they were busy on the farm, although were contactable if needed, and payment instructions can be found on info board by the bins.
Highlight of the weekend was watching the Barn Owl in the evenings, hunting in the field in front of the van.
Lovely!
I had all communication through email, which is great as I have a terrible memory, so I was able to refer to details.
I was told that pitches aren't allocated so to just arrive and pitch where I want. I found a little corner under the trees...lovely if it's not, but it turned out to be the worst weather I've encountered while on any CL..murphys law lol
Parking under the trees meant my tv reception wasn't good for most channels...but a little bit of jiggery pokery and a longer lead meant I had enough for a couple of nights.
I walked with the dog for the hour+ long walk to the waterfront inn where I had a lovely Lunch, a couple of glasses of wine.
There is a private road beside the site, this is accessed by people on foot walking their dogs, horseriders and people driving down to feed horses, deliver post and farming. There is also the train that passes and this is the only reason I didn't score a 5 for tranquillity.. .it doesn't make any odds to the surroundings (beautiful). All the comings and goings made things a little more interesting.
Caroline is charming...she came and made sure I was happy with everything..and i reiterated others views on this CL...lovely!
To walk the canal, the easiest route I found was leave the site to the road, turn right and keep walking until you find the bridge..down the slope onto the canal and hey presto. (Left if you want the waterfront bistro...a hickledy pickledy place, food is amazing..service very friendly)
I'm not sure I'll come back as I like to visit new areas as much as possible..but I'm drawn to canals..and there's not many sites close to those..so I dare say I probably will be.
What a find!
Perfect. Lovely welcome on arrival from Caroline and Mutley, who couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The site is well maintained and peaceful, with beautiful views. We will be back!

ONE OF THE BEST
I hesitate to add to the accolades already earned by this site as this might diminish our chances of returning due to its popularity.
Caroline & Muttley make every effort to make your stay a memorable experience and their plans promise the site can only get better. It is a flat spacious site with great views of the farm and hills in the distance.
Although the railway runs nearby it is in a valley and by no means intrusive. The farm road runs along the side of the site, but again, whilst busy is not intrusive. Take care when entering and leaving the site in case you meet a tractor or farm visitors. New visitors should note that the post code covers a wide area, and if using satnav, it may lead you to turn prematurely. The following co-ordinates took us directly onto site: 51.35101, -1.731007.
Fresh farm eggs are readily available and very reasonably priced. Look out for the flock of guinea fowl that roam freely and regularly graze in the field opposite, but no eggs.
The farm borders the Kennet & Avon Canal, where there are many walks and cycle routes along the canal. Nearby towns include Pewsey, Marlborough, Hungerford, Devizes and mystical Avebury. Head to Alton Priors for coffee or lunch at Honeystreet situated alongside the canal and watch the barges passing by.

Outstanding Site.....
Outstanding Site: 5 *****
Would highly recommend this site to anyone that likes level stands and stunning views, convenient for several water and electrical hookup points. Easy of emptying waste and disposal of rubbish... Lots of fresh eggs to buy. Cant rate this site high enough. Definitely looking at dates to go back.
Spent a very relaxing weekend here just chilling and bike riding along the canal to the local pub. My compliments to Caroline Wells for such a brilliant well thought out site.
Excellently run CL
Flat ground in good condition, plenty of water taps, excellent views of nearby hills.
A pleasant walk to a pub not too far away.
Some railway noise, but not as intrusive as we feared.
Will be going again.
