Immaculate site, with far reaching, amazing views by day and if clear skies, star gazing at night.
Spacious, level pitches, with own water, EHU (if required) and picnic table. Grass & hard standing.
Spotless toilet & shower room, the cleanest we have seen.
Our booking was last minute, which was no problem for owners Gerald & Hazel and due to traffic we didn’t arrive until later than expected, after 10pm. We kept them up to date on our location and they were so accommodating and came out to greet us and settle us in when we got there.
Brilliant.
It is peaceful, but also a good location to explore local areas and coastline.
Totally recommend and would definitely return if in that area.
Terfyn Mawr is an outstanding site with lovely westerly views that include spectacular sunsets. The site is meticulously maintained and the toilet and shower room is to a very high standard. Possibly the best hot shower we've had on a campsite!
Gerald and Hazel were friendly and helpful without being intrusive; a difficult balance which they got absolutely right. They were genuinely concerned that guests enjoyed their stay and provided us with additional information about local places to visit and also recommendations for the best routes to/from the campsite.
The site is on high ground so can be a little windy, but this was never a problem and we would happily return.
I ask for nothing more this site has everything.
The hosts are exceptional, the views, the pitches all perfect and the dog exercise field was an absolute bonus.
The site is so quiet, and the sunsets views beautiful.
Definitely worth a visit, we stayed for two weeks had a wonderful relaxing holiday.
Just arrived home from another weeks stay at the best site that we have stayed at. Could never get bored of staying here, such a great site immaculately kept with spotless facilities and great views. There is also an enclosed field directly adjacent to the site for dogs to be let off leads for a run, with a nice bench to sit and admire the views while your dogs having a run around.
Gerald and Hazel are amazing hosts and you couldn't meet nicer people, they're caring, helpful, knowledgeable and always very welcoming.
See you both again soon.
Just back from a lovely 8 day stay at Terfyn Mawr CL .
We have stayed at some good CLs over the last few years but this one really is the one to beat now!!!
Communication was excellent from first contact to last and on arrival we received a warm welcome from the owners Gerald and Hazel, who couldn't have been any friendlier or helpful during our stay, really can't do enough for you!
The CL itself was immaculate with good hardstanding, fully serviced pitches and plenty of grass either side. It has far reaching views over towards the Pembrokeshire/Ceredigion coast, which is great for watching the sunset into the sea at Cardigan,. Stunning!
There is also a very nice shower/toilet room which we used a fair bit despite being fully serviced, it was so nice! You'll find lots of local information and DVDS and books in here also.
Another massive plus point for us was the very large, fully enclosed dog walk in field just behind the caravans, very handy!
So all in all I really can't recommend Terfyn Mawr enough,at a very reasonable price of £20 a night, this for a CL of this standard in a prime holiday location, within easy driving of many towns and beaches is excellent value for money. Definitely one to return to!!!...
This is our second time here, first time in a Camper Van last year, this our first time in the Caravan.
Gerald and Hazel are the perfect hosts, and so welcoming, nothing is to much trouble at all. Even stored the electric bikes for us.
The place is immaculate in every aspect and an ideal place to access West Wales.
Certainly a fantastic place and would highly recommend.
Thanks Gerald and Hazel keep up the good work.
Booked well in advance and glad we did. What a wonderful CL, from the welcome and intro to the site and facilities from Gerald and Hazel to being very glad of their info on places of interest and local places to " wine & dine ". We've spent a week here at the moment and it's just that perfect place to unwind and " chill ". Superb facilities on this very well kept site owned by experienced campers who really do know whats required by us tourers nowadays. Would love to return.
Lovely area for walking and exploring the coast. The site is lovely to come back to, very relaxing. Gerald gave very detailed instruction to get to the site and also advised us the best way out to our next destination, so helpful. The lanes are very quiet with some lovely scenery. The pitches and facilities are 5 star.
We are caravanners off and on since the 1950's in our van since 1965. i can honestly say this is one of the best sites we have ever been on.
from our first phone call we knew the owners would be friendly. We arrived through the gates to manicured lawns and driveways. we were pitched on number 1. hard standing for the van with the awning on this manicured grass. no shoes or ground sheets needed here. Hazel showed us round and gave directions to every where. The shower and toilet is spotless, lots of hot water and no charge or fiddly taps that keep turning off. Along the rear of of the caravans lies a field, I don't know how big it is Hubby says its a long way around it. While we were there Gerald mowed the circumferance 3 times in 17 days. As it was we had a rain free stay, but had the grass been wet this would of been a godsend., no cuttings left behind either. Hazel said if your dog has recall you can let him off the lead. Well if our dog could talk, he would tell you , he was in doggy heaven , he also met a friend Sidney and they ran and ran together, living their best lives. whilst here hubby celebrated his 80th birthday, Hazel and Gerald came round with a gorgeous homemade cake for him, Hazel had also told us about the Cliff Hotel and their yummy afternoon tea, We decided to go , Hazel offered to do the booking for us, ordered a window table and told them it was his birthday. we would not of known to say this. Hazel was right we had a wonderful afternoon tea , overlooking the sea. Hazel and Gerald are caravanners them selves and have put all their experiance into this CL, Lovely hosts. Lovely grass. Lovely spacious site. With water and grey water to each pitch. Great holiday.
From the initial email contact, nothing was too much trouble. Responses were prompt and friendly including detailed directions to the site (I would recommend that these are followed).
We were immediately greeted with a warm welcome on arrival and shown all facilities.
Beautiful large pitches. The hardstanding pitches fenced between with young hedging plants that will provide even more privacy when mature. Plenty of room for an awning, plus an area of grass for seating etc with water and picnic bench on each pitch. Toilet/shower spotless-as was the whole site with immaculate lawns and flowers. Lovely dog walking field. We booked 8 nights but would happily have stayed all summer. The views from the site are breathtaking and the surrounding area just perfect.
We will definitely return.
