Lovely cl

Immaculate site, don't know how they manage to keep the site so neat and tidy and the grass perfect. Parking for cars once the caravan is pitched, is in a parking area which I thought might be a problem as my husband doesn't walk well following a stroke, but it wasn't a problem at all. The dog walking field is excellent. I was cautious about the proximity of the donkeys, sheep and goats in the next field, but they didn't appear to be bothered by my dogs racing around and the donkeys were particularly friendly and happy to say hello to one of my dogs who was brave enough to approach. The site is easy to find and easy to access, but inevitably there is some traffic noise from the A34, though we didn't find it a problem We only stayed 2 nights, but hopefully we will visit again.

Beautiful site!

Stayed for 5 nights, principally because we have elderly relatives living nearby and wanted to spend some time with them. The site is pretty much perfect, and certainly the nicest we have visited so far. Beautiful surroundings, level pitches, immaculate facilities and a warm & friendly welcome. The donkeys were an unexpected bonus, absolutely delightful! We’ll definitely be back.

Lovely site

Stayed here for a week in July 23. Have stayed here previously and would be very happy to return. Lovely site, very well cared for. Very friendly ducks that wander around and love to take an interest in what’s going on. Donkey in adjoining field and a lovely duck pond with a seating area. Each pitch has its only table set-up. Didn’t use the showers as we always use our own in caravan, but did visit and did look great. Access onto A34 really easy so great location to visit lots of places in Staffordshire. The only slight downside is there is quite a bit of road noise. Just a great site would thoroughly recommend.

A great place to stay with excellent facilities

We stayed at Spring Paddock for 1 night en-route back from Cornwall to Northumberland. The owners Deborah and Martin were there to greet us and settle us in and couldn’t have been more helpful. The site is immaculately kept, well laid out with a large dog run, and very modern and clean facilities. It is close to Cannock Chase and a few miles from the M6. We would recommend this site without hesitation.

Almost perfect

I stayed here for one night as a stop off along the M6. It was perfect for that. The owners have clearly taken a lot of time and trouble to keep the site so well and seem to have thought of everything. As a woman travelling alone I felt very safe here. There is a busy road and traffic noise but obviously that can't be helped. One of the best CLs definitely.

What a fab little site!

Our friends and ourselves (2 Motorhome) used this fab little site as a 1 night stop over. Can’t fault it. Beautifully kept, lovely modern and spotless shower/toilet facilities, great shop and every assistance by Deborah and Martin. This takes CLs to another level. Thank you and we’ll done. Just be aware it’s right on the A34 which is a bit noisy but it quietens at night and didn’t spoil our good sleep.

Sets the standard for CLs

Stayed for one night en-route North. Selected purely for it's location close to our chosen route from Kent to the Lake District. It is a CL gem. Well thought out site with well spaced, sizeable pitches. All areas were well maintained. The only aspect preventing a perfect score was the adjacent main road - A34. Some may find this a concern. For us it was a bonus, having an easy access for a 7.5m motorhome with an a-framed towed car and only a minor detour off the M6. Will return on our next trip north and on our intended return to explore Cannock Chase.

What a fantastic site

We have just spent a few days at Spring Paddock and what a fantastic place. The site is accessed easilly from the A34 and is well presented and maintained by Martin and Deborah. The facilties block is spotless and a joy to use. The pitch we were given was one of the largest we have stayed on. It was the first time we had stayed on a metered pitch and was a good experiment to see what our normal usage was. We only used 8 out of the 10 included units per day without any adjustment to our usual living. The calmness of the site was enhanced by the amusing ducks that would wander around before eventually being directed back into their field where they live on the pond. There were two lovely donkeys and few sheep with a lamb in the paddock that also added to the overall peacefulness we enjoyed. This was our first time at a CL site and we are converted. We are planning to return for a longer stay next time. This is the standard by which all others will be judged against now. We'll done and keep up the good work.

Excellent site

This is a well organised CL site just a few metres off the A34 between Cannock and Stafford. It is well situated for Cannock Chase. This site is immaculate and well thought out as the result of the owners’ personal caravan and motorhome experiences. The pitches are spacious with their own wooden chairs with integral table. Besides having the normal facilities there is even separate dog and cycle wash facilities. Although we didn’t use them the site toilets and showers are absolutely immaculate and well kept. Enclosed dog field, friendly donkeys and a small lake with delightful inquisitive ducks. Excellent hosts who are always available if you need them. The site is a credit to both Martin and Deborah. There are still things for us still to do in the area and on our return, we will be definitely using this site as a base.
