peaceful and great location

We spent two weeks at this site at the end of June and early July and will most definitely be returning. The newly built toilet and shower is very clean and convenient for those with campervans or smaller caravans like ourselves. The site is extremely peaceful and it was lovely to wake to the sound of the birds every morning. It is also well located for access to all the attractions in the area and is walking distance to the beautiful village of Coverack. The owners Nicola and Jeffrey were very hospitable, but also respected our privacy. All in all, a wonderful holiday and we are looking forward to visiting again as soon as possible.

Our Favourite CL Site in Cornwall

Another fantastic holiday at Specky Wood, thank you to Nicola and Jeffrey for running an immaculate site. We've just had 17 nights here as we absolutely love it. It is so well kept, quiet and plenty of spaces inbetween each of the pitches. Nicola and Jeffrey are fantastic hosts and make you feel very welcome. This year our daughter joined us with her family and they can't wait to return, as can we. Just wish we lived nearer, it's 7 hour drive but well worth it. We've been coming down for several years now and will definitely be back next year. We highly recommend you visit the site and see for yourselves. You won't be disappointed.

Best site in the Club July2019 stay

Just finished yet another wonderful stay at Specky Wood. Nicola and Jeffrey are so obliging and pleasant people its a joy to visit. kept immaculate in every detail. both work tirelessly to achieve this, the site is in a great location level and a lovely walk into Coverack. I have visited this site many times even though it is a 630 mile round trip, but well worth it. it is also my favourite site in the many hundreds I have visited, just wish it was closer. many thanks again for supplying such a great experience for us again and again. will return. Alan and Jackie Motorhomer. reluctant review as would like to keep it a secret.

Four days & nights in july

We've just spent 4 fabulous days at Specky Wood CL campsite, our hosts Nicola & Jeffrey were very pleasant and helpful. The site is level with well maintained grounds, close to Coverack cove, walking distance approx 15 mins although the return journey uphill is a bit evil.. Lots of lovely places to visit close by and excellent coastal path walks near to the site. Will definitely visit again when next in the area, Paul & Barbara travelling in a motorhome..

Speck Wood June 2018 stay

We stayed at this CL site in June of this year. It is well maintained and the owners are very welcoming and friendly. It is mainly a grass site but some levelling blocks may be required depending on which pitch you are allocated. Good clean recycling and refuse facilities but one of the highlights of the site is the self-constructed chemical waste facility. It’s genius! There is a lovely walk in to the village of Coverack and the working harbour with lots of choice for places to eat. The views from Coverack were very picturesque. Would definitely recommend this site.

Lovely Site

We have recently stayed for eight nights at specky wood. When we arrived both Nicola and Jeff were out but Nicola had left a note on the door with instructions where to pitch. Nice level site and plenty of room for the van and awning. Coverack is 1.5 miles down the road which is narrow and has a nice harbour with seat so you can site and people watch if so desired The only very very small point I would make was that although the grass was cut short it wasn't collected,, This did not effect us as it was dry during our stay however had the weather been wet then the grass would have been a nightmare in the awning and the van. Having said that it would not stop us from returning in the future..

SSHH! Don't tell anyone.

We don't want anyone else to know about this CL. It's a true gem. Been twice this year already and looking forward to returning soon. As peaceful and tranquil as stated in the previous reviews. Great location, all you hear are birds singing - no traffic noise. Great area to explore, quiet lanes: excellent for cycling and walking. Thanks to Nicola and Jeffrey for the warm welcome.

Peaceful site with caring owners

Easy access to site. Level site with plenty of room. Site owners very keen to make sure all is running ok - thanks. On one day we had absolutely torrential rain in about 15mins that created a lot of surface water. This did drain off. But owners helped relocatexa. motor homercusing a tent and nothing seemed to too much trouble. Coverack very close by and a very pleasant place to enjoy a pint of beer in the pub's beer garden. Would revisit next time we venture this far from home.

2 weeks in Cornwall

Just back from holiday in Cornwall, we stayed at Specky Wood just outside Coverack. A very good site, easy access and level pitches, the owners are lovely people really friendly and helpful. The walk into Coverack only takes about 20 mins but the walk back up the hill takes a little longer (quite steep) .Loads of places to visit and not too far to travel if you don't want to be driving all day. Helston has plenty of supermarkets, really easy to find and park, if you like aircraft then Culdrose is great, and Davidstow airfield is well worth a visit. All in all it was a great holiday and the weather was really good, we will definitely come back to Specky wood.
