Really nice quiet site with friendly and helpful owners.
Hard standing and grass pitches. The grass pitches especially
of good size with a couple of clean toilet/shower cubicles if you want them, the whole site being maintained to a high standard.
The village has good facilities with a pub, small friendly hotel, provision shop and cafe.
A splendid beach washed clean each tide, dogs allowed on leads.
Plenty of walking, places to visit, pubs and site seeing without leaving the Lizard, easily enough for a fortnight or longer.
A great little site.
A smashing little site
I can only repeat what the previous reviewer has written (8th August 2024). We stayed here for four nights in July. It was easy to book. It's a great site, plenty of space, good shower and WC facilities and a helpful information board. The owners are welcoming and friendly. It's in a good location for visiting the whole of the Lizard peninsula. It's only a shortish (but steep) walk into Coverack. We'd definitely like to re-visit.
A true gem of a site!
Booked for 4 nights but ended up staying for 6!
The site is clean and well kept, the pitches are massive, and the owners are hands down the nicest, friendliest people you could ask for!
It’s a 1 mile (steep hill) walk down to Coverack, which is a gorgeous fishing village. There are number of nice coves within a short walk or drive, where the sea swimming is some of the best we have experienced in the UK. The coastal walks are superb. Lots of opportunity for seal-watching and maybe the odd basking shark. It’s only a couple of miles from Roskilly’s dairy, which is well worth a visit. The Lizard and Helston are just short drives away.
In summary. A super site in a lovely area with lots to see and do!
We loved our stay and will definitely return!

Peaceful and welcoming
We stayed for three nights as part of our coastal tour of Cornwall. Site was very peaceful and spacious, good facilities - clean and well maintained. We loved the walk into Coverack, beautiful little harbour and beach, suite a steep climb back up but well worth it.
Campervan Visit April 2023
Easy access to site providing one follows the directions (compared to most Cornish sites!). Good communication on booking. Very friendly welcome with the owners obviously keeping careful watch on what is happening. Large, flat hardstanding pitch but options for grass in better weather by the looks of it. Easy access to water for vans. Facilities not used. Beautiful surrounding countryside with easy access to coast path & Terence Coventry Sculpture Park. Short walk into Coverack but steep uphill walk on the way back. Excellent CL.

Feels like coming home
We are regular visitors to Specky Wood, it's been our base near Coverack for many years. We've been twice this year and the 1st time after breaking down on A30 we didn't arrive till 10.30pm. Both of them were there to welcome us and to see if there was anything we needed. They always make you feel so welcome.
There is plenty of room between pitches and they are either grass or hardstanding, it is also very tranquil. The site is spotless, the grass never gets chance to grow much before Jeffrey is out with the mower.
Both Jeffrey and Nicola are always on hand for any tips on where to go around the area.
Whenever we go, there are always lots of people that are regulars. To us that definitely means they are doing everything right.
We love the area as its not busy and you are close enough to travel to surrounding areas.
We love it, can't wait to go back. Try it and you'll love it also.
See you soon Nicola and Jeffrey, can't wait for our next visit

Peaceful and Relaxing - 5 STARS
Peaceful and Relaxing – 5 STARS
This is an outstanding site that is ideally located to explore the Lizard peninsular and all its awesome natural beauty including the famous pasty mines. Coverack village is only a twenty minute stroll away with its picture perfect harbour and safe sandy beach. The sea air here is so clean and fresh it soothes the soul.
The owners, Jeffrey and Nicola who live on site have worked hard to create a lovely campsite that will appeal to people seeking relaxation, peace and quiet. The site is well organised with level pitches of generous size and conveniently located water, recycling and electric hook-up facilities. Jeffrey keeps the grass and hedging looking pristine with new planting, drainage and access improvements enhancing the site.
The owners are very knowledgeable about the local area and are always on hand to offer help and advice. They are really friendly and go out of their way to ensure their guests have a great stay.

An Absolute Gem of a CL
Everything about this CL is perfect. We had a warm friendly welcome and some really useful local information from the site owners. The nearby sculpture park was wonderful and the beautiful coastal village of Coverack was a short stroll away, albeit downhill.
The hard standing pitch was totally flat and the facilities were clean, functional and well maintained. £20 per night (including use of the shower/toilet block) in mid April.
The site even owner helped another caravaner change their wheel which was lovely.
A really nice place for a quiet relaxing break.
