A Very Warm Welcome

Following our first visit to the site, we had a warm welcome by its owner. All pitches are well set out, clean and spacious with both water and waste plus EHU on all pitches. Excellent area to visit local attractions. We shall certainly be returning in the future.

Lovely CL

We recently stayed on this lovely, well run CL for 21 nights and found it had everything we needed for a great holiday, we mainly cycled direct from the site on to an abundance of quiet country lanes. We tend to cook in the caravan and was able to buy all the food we required locally. As has been said before the owners of the site are very friendly and welcomed us when we arrived and bid us a safe journey when we left. The access to the site is really easy being only a short distance from the A46 , 4 miles further down this road you have all the attractions of Lincoln city. We certainly enjoyed our stay at SkyBarn Farm and would heartily recommend it.

A charming site

Skybarn Farm Site is a lovely CL, it’s well kept. The owners are super and came to say hello when we arrived. There is a good walk from the site. You can hear the cars from the nearby main road, it didn’t bother us too much. We would definitely use this lovely CL site again if we’re in this area.

Great CL

Just spent 4 nights at Skybarn. Approach and security make this CL particularly attractive along with excellent value for the facilities provided. Caravan pitches are well spaced out, and we had great sunshine throughout. Would have booked for longer if it hadn't been fully booked. The walk along the A46 for the bus to Lincoln is just over a mile (stop adjacent to Pennels garden centre and opposite the Brewers Fayre), but worth it to avoid the 5 miles of traffic and parking fees in Lincoln. The walk up to the Cathedral is another fitness test! After a busy day in Lincoln, the Brewers Fayre was ideal for a teatime meal and drink before walking back. Belton House (NT) is worth the drive, and the Downtown Outlet (both near Grantham) is usefully placed for more retail therapy afterwards.

Lovely CL ( visit 5/9/22 to 8/9/22)

The owners really have thought about this site and it shows. From the information provided before arrival, to a welcome visit and a cheerio on departure. On arrival, were not sure being in a big motorhome (which we leave on site), its always a worry that we might be stuck, especially when everyone else here at the same time had a car and caravan, but we are so glad we took a chance. Its a walk to a bus stop, but clear directions and the fact that its along a cycle track made it perfect. Bus into Lincoln bus station very central. Had a full day exploring the beautiful city. Dogs allowed in the Cathedral..amazing ! The next day was a walk to a nature reserve ..lakes and made up paths throughout really lovely. Yes the A46 is busy but we were not put off and as we were out all day the background hum didnt bother us at all. No toilet facilities but we dont need them,(we wouldn’t have used them even if there was), all hardstanding pitches, fully serviced and large . All in all a perfect stay. If you would like to visit Lincoln this gem of a site is ideal.

Brilliant, well-run site

I had high hopes of Skybarn Farm as a result of reading the incredibly useful and comprehensive ehandbook that Nicola sent with my booking agreement: everything you would possibly need to know to get the most of out your stay was included in it. Nicola also answered a specific query I had by doing a bit of research for me locally before I arrived. The site is immaculate and each pitch is large enough to put a caravan, awning and car side by side so the view out is not spoiled by the car having to be put in front. The pitches are fully serviced which for us is a bonus. And the site has a key coded entrance, which is reassuring. Access to the site is easy, with no narrow lanes to negotiate, and Nicola's directions are crystal clear and not open to confusion. The only small downside, for some people maybe, is that there is a slight noise from the main road which is not far away. However, I can honestly say that because it is a regular, and not intermittent noise, you soon find that your brain gets used to it and you don’t notice it any more. There is so much to do in Lincoln and in the immediate area that I have no doubt we will return.

Great site with excellent facilities

We have visited this site on a couple of occasions. Booking is very easy thrthe website and deposit or full payment methods are available. The site has great facilities for a CL with hard standing serviced pitches well spaced and big enough to fit awnings. Nicola is a great host and makes you wel olme with lots of local knowledge. There are many places to visit around the site and the digital guide is very helpful.

Superb site, Great Location

Recently stayed at Skybarn Farm CL and thoroughly enjoyed our time spent on the site. Booking is easy on their website page which shows up to date availability. Deposit can be paid online which is backed up by a confirmation email. A very informative ‘guidebook’ is then forwarded to your phone to browse before your trip begins. Access code to the secure site is received upon balance payment, making the whole process so seamless. Five large hard standing serviced pitches await you. Nicola, the friendly owner, lets you settle in before introducing herself and ensures you have any questions answered. A 2.5 mile private dog walk is great for CL users. Location wise, the CL is easy to find, just off the A46, making it easy to visit Lincoln or Newark. Quite a few pubs are available, several, walkable from the site. There is an information hut on site with leaflets on places to visit, walks, takeaways etc. Luckily we are booked in again in September and already looking forward to it.
