Top-rated site

Others have already enthused about this site. There's little to add, really. We need just a "B&B site" for visiting the grandchildren, so are not able to comment on all of the places of interest and so on - but the online booking; the welcome; the quality of the waste disposal area (well up to full CC main site standards); the information hut, with all of its extras are all excellent. Lose one star... In the "peace and tranquility" section, I droppeda point. It is a little close to the A46. The traffic did not disturb us but it could worry a very light sleeper. The site, beautifully maintained and appointed, is a corner of a large field. Some (the determined woodland dwellers among us) might find it a bit exposed - but that opened up some lovely sunrises. There are some young trees, recently planted around the rail fence and it will be lovely to watch them as they develop and grow. Along with the grandchildren - because we'll be back!

Fantastic CL

This has to be one of the best CLs we have stayed on. Very tidy and well laid out with 5 excellent hard pitches. The site's own online booking system worked very well and the free wifi on site is the icing on the cake.

Lovely Site

We have stayed here twice now, and would have no hesitation in returning. The site is well set out and well kept, owners are lovely and helpful. The site is close to Lincoln and everything nearby is easily accessible. We have two dogs, and the onsite dog walk through the fields is fabulous, no need to go near any roads.

Well cared for

We recently stayed at this CL for two nights in order to visit the nearby city of Lincoln. We were able to easily book online using the owner's website and were given the security code enabling us to access the CL on arrival. Within a few minutes, however, the friendly owner arrived to greet us personally and answer any questions, although we later realised that everything we needed to know was available in the information hut nearby. The small field is meticulously maintained and the five hard standing pitches are reached by a gravel trackway. Wi-fi is included in the basic pitch price. As we have a motorhome we were concerned about parking in the city centre, however this is not as great a problem as we had imagined. There is a motorhome parking area at Lincoln Leisure Vehicles and also to be recommended is The Lawn car park in the city centre but very accessible. This is beside the castle walls which is very convenient, but it also has several parking bays with grassy areas at the rear enabling motorhomes to overhang. Unfortunately on our visit many of these were closed off as the car park itself was being enlarged, nevertheless we managed to find a suitable space. If there is one drawback to this CL it is it's proximity to the A46 which means there is almost constant road noise, however it isn't such a nuisance that it would deter us from visiting again in the future.

One of the best

I have visited lot's of CL's over the years and this one comes close to the top of my favourites list. So easy to get to just off the A46, secure entry and exit system with 5 well laid out hard standings Plenty of local walks and places to visit in the surrounding area. A well stocked information room and free Wifi. I will definitely be back here in the future.

Well worth a visit.

Only a fleeting visit to this lovely CL but would definitely stay here again. Very friendly, helpful owner who gave us some really useful information about the area. Easy access to shops etc but also great dog walking in surrounding fields. Immaculately kept site. Fresh eggs were lovely too! So pleased we found this site.

Wonderful CL

Stayed at this lovely site early September. Originally booked to stay for 7 nights but enjoyed it so much we asked to stay on for a few more days. Warm welcome from site owner, Nicola. Helpful info in shed including polystyrene boxes to borrow when collecting take away food and fresh eggs from farm chickens.  A little road noise from A46 but not overly intrusive. Shame it's so far away from Buckinghamshire as it would be lovely weekend retreat.

A little gem

Easily accessed secure and well run CL with extension lead available for long run to electric hook up. We had a friendly reception and the facilities were clearly signed and explained with the bonus of the information hut. This is a working farm so expect some minor disturbance associated with that from time to time. There is a little background noise from the nearby A46 but it is not intrusive. Well located for seeing the surrounding area. We hope to return one day.
