Fabulous Sky Barn Eggs !!

Freshly fried Sky Barn Eggs, Lincolnshire Sausage, best back bacon an all day breakfast served in the evening with a bottle of wine, incredible! Incredible is also the word for this super CL, everything you want and need, lovely hosts who take pride in their cl site, smashing views over to the Lincolnshire Wolds which get even better when walking on the well signposted trails around the Farm fields. Lovely clean and tidy services and a little hut overflowing with information, and of course, lovely, fresh Sky Barn Eggs. Fabulous stay, this site is now high on our list of favourites. Thank you Nicola and Richard.

Skybarn

Stayed on this lovely site as we were taking our Motorhome for work to be carried out at SMC Newark and this site ticked all the boxes. Only 20 minutes from Newark and easy access. We were greeted on arrival by Nicola who was very nice and explained everything to us. The site is easy to access and well laid out with hardstandings. A good information room containing many leaflets, details of eating houses etc. The only down side for us with a motorhome was that there is nowhere to dispose of grey water. Nicola did solve this however by suggesting using the pipe we had to connect to the tank and running it in to the hedge bottom, maybe at a future date there may be somewhere to empty the waste. We will definitely be stopping here again.

Reply from the CL owner:

Hi Chemistry

Thanks for your great review. Glad you liked your stay with us and it was lovely meeting you.

I think there's been a misunderstanding about the grey waste disposal. Whilst we are happy for motorhomes to hose grey water into the field (it's what happens in a drought after all) we do have a grey water disposal point by the entrance to the site next to the chemical disposal point. Obviously, a motorhome would have to park on the roadway to avoid getting stuck on the grass and use a hose to reach it but it is a very short distance.

Hope this helps clarify.

Just returned from a four night stay, lovely clean site with level hard standing pitches. Nice views very friendly helpful owners. Bit of road noise from A46 but not intrusive didn't spoil the peace and quiet. Very near to Newark, Lincoln and Whisby nature reserve , also Aviation Museum (must visit) . Definite return !!

This is a top class site and the previous reviews are testament to this. Very handy for Lincoln and Newark, and the A46. I wish we could have stayed longer and we hope to visit again sometime.

A First Class CL

A very well laid out and maintained site with friendly helpful owners. There is a bit of road noise form the A46 but you can't have such a well placed site with easy access to the road network without a little bit of noise. Well placed to visit the City of Lincoln, we enjoyed the Cathedral and the Museum of Lincolnshire Life which was one of the best museums I've been to. The PDF sent prior to arrival has all the information you need so you can make some plans before you get there. Nicola came to see us on arrival to answer any questions which was appreciated. I would certainly recommend this CL and will, I am sure, visit again.

Lovely CL and very well maintained

This is the first time we have used a CL and were very impressed. We were greeted by Nicola the owner. The pitch was level so no levellers needed, easy to find with excellent information from the owner. The site had all we needed and even an information hut which was a nice touch and free range eggs for sale which were delicious. We cycled to Lincoln one day (mainly by the side of the main road) but was an easy ride. We would recommend this site as a quality CL.

Very Professional CL

We love CL's and Skybarn has everything covered to a very high standard. Ease of booking on line. Information sheet and all you need to know befor you arrive. Security of an electric entrance gate. Good access road to all the 5 pitches, all level hardstandings, a true all year site. Good fresh water, grey water, and chemical points, suitably spaced, functional, very clean, with PIR lighting to aid in the darker months. Information hut, with loads of information leaflets to help anyone wanting to explore the area, plus eggs and a honesty box. We used it to visit both Lincoln Castle, and Lincoln Cathedral, 7 miles away, set sat nav for Westgate 1 car park, and then a short level walk to both.

A true CL

A gem of a site. Lovely owners who clearly know what they like in a cl, well laid out, level, large hard standings. Well situated for ease of access to Lincoln, Newark etc. Plenty of good walking in the countryside. As mentioned in the title...a true 5 unit CL. We have been disappointed many times by sites which allow more than the advertised. Well done to Skybarn Farm for not being greedy. Brilliant site !!!!!

A superb CL

Stayed for 3 nights in January. A super site which is well laid out with 5 good hard standings. A warm welcome awaits and the site is very peaceful except for some road noise from the A46 which is obviously nearby. An onsite information hut is well stocked with local information + an honesty box for the free range eggs. Hope to be back
