Would not hesitate to return again

Second season for this site which has been thought out with us caravaners in mind. Well maintaine grass site which will only get better when shrubs etc more established. Added bonus is lights on each water point (shared between 2 pitches). Good views from all pitches and friendly owners. Would certainly recommend.

Easter break

We spent a 5 night break with three kids and grandparents in two vans. It is a lovely spot, tucked away.  Very clean and tidy with huge size pitches and very convenient water and electric. Nice and level too. Great for dogs and well fenced. The entrance would be easy to miss as between houses and a little tight for larger units but we managed (quite new to it).

There is a train track close, but it is only a local train once or twice an hour from about 7am-10pm My only grumble would be paying an extra £1 a night for each child making it £15 a night for us.  This would put me off returning as there are many CLs in the area charging £6-£12 a night. Still recommend it highly though.

Comment from The Club:

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and we are delighted that you had a wonderful Easter Break at Rookery Farm.

Many thanks for bringing this to our attention.  We have discussed the pricing structure with the CL owner of Rookery Farm and we have clarified his pricing schedule and amended the website accordingly so that it reflects the costs in a clearer and easier to understand manner.

As per page 270 of the Sites Directory and Handbook :-

Fees: please note the price shown is the minimum you can expect to pay and pitch fees may be subject to variation……..  Please check before booking……  there might also be charges for additional people, pets, awnings, etc.”

Again many thanks for taking the time to leave a review and we look forward to reading further reviews on The Club website of site you have stayed at.

Well worth a visit

This was the first visit to a C L site and we chose it from the previous reviews, and we endorse these reviews. The pub was closed for refurbishment when we visited and are sure this would enhance this lovely site even more. Well worth a visit, and the pub which is only very short walk away, opens again on 02 May

A last minute break

A last minute decision to go away  - very prompt emails backwards and forwards. A lovely well maintained, grass site, with modern electric / water points. Good views from the site across fields. Loads of space to walk the dog. Clean, small toilet with handbasin. Very friendly and helpful owners. Would certainly recommend!

A lovely spot!

We really enjoyed our four nights here especially as we managed to choose a really warm october weekend. The site overlooks the field with the owners horses in and the path from the gate at the end of the site takes you swiftly to the pub! It is a lovely new site, well set up with friendly owners on hand with advice about the area if needed. The  clacketty clack train passes swiftly & didn't bother us at all. Highly recommended.

Excellent CL

Really well run CL, immaculate and owner really friendly and welcoming. Very peaceful site located in a particularly nice village. We have two dogs and this site offers excellent dog walking straight from the site through it's own private gate. We will definitely visit again sometime. Thank you. Darren and Sally

Ideal LocalPlacesOfInterest

We have just spent three days at this delightful CL which is well organised and immaculate. The facilities are second to none and the owner, Peter, is very friendly and helpful. The site is level and we had our own water and electrical supplies which were great - not having to carry the water from a standpipe was a real boon. We will definitely go back and thank you. A Hidden Gem

Everything we could wish from a CL and more - a lovely warm welcome, a flat pitch with loads of space , suffolk sunshine, hidden deep in the countryside but with access to a pub and a village shop. It is true the peace is occasionally interrupted by the noise of the level crossing nearby - but I actually found this quite reassuring as it is so quiet! Again we extended our stay to a week and will be regular visitors from now on - but we will remember our bicycles next visit. Honey is delicious by the way. Thank you - and hope to see you again soon.

Best CL stayed with Dogs and Grandchildren

Excellent facilities, very warm and friendly welcome throughout our stay. Originally booked for 7 nights extended to 12. Very secure fenced field for both dogs and children would definately recommend this site. It was also a bonus having drinking water with electric hookup point which also had lighting. Also when you go try the lovely honey and fresh eggs a real treat. Thank you very much for making our stay most pleasurable. Pauline & Michael
