Excellent CL Well managed and very welcoming.

We have just stayed for a second time on this well maintained CL. If only all CL's could be modelled on this it would be great. Even the chemical disposal point is easy with a well fitting lid and tap hose the correct length!! It's the little things that matter. Water tap to each pitch and plenty of room and sunny position. What could be better. I totally agree also with favourable comments made in the other reviews. We will be returning again.

A Perfect CL

Booked for 11 nts on our tour of the UK and loved it. This site is so well maintained in every aspect. The pitches are roomy and what a bonus the taps positioned next to your pitch. There is also recycling. Whilst there we visited Beccles, Framlingham, Southwold, Aldeburgh and Ipswich. Try the Boarding House in Halesworth for any occasion or Sunday Brunch, fabulous. Kathryn & Peter work extremely hard to keep this CL to the highest standard and are friendly but inobtrusive. You can also purchase some of their home made produce (jams, chutneys and honey) and fresh eggs. It was worth every mile of our 6 hr journey & we will return. Barbara & Graham (Whalley, Lancs).

A super CL

This was return visit for us - Rookery Farm is our favourite CL and is just a short drive from home so an excellent choice for weekend getaways. The site is beautifully managed and maintained and a real credit to Peter and Kathryn who work hard to keep it in excellent condition and spotlessly clean. The field is level and lawned and the grass is always short (and collected). The pitches are very well spaced with more than enough room and space for children to play. The services are excellent too with water provided between pitches. There is a good dog walk in the field beyond the site and around to the village. A small shop serves all your immediate needs. The pub is currently up for sale - will be brilliant if it is bought and reopened. Above all Rookery Farm provides peace and tranquillity. Within very easy reach of Southwold, Blythburgh, Dunwich, Halesworth, Walberswick but away from any traffic noise - just birdsong and the occasional chug of the small train. Peter and Kathryn are extremely helpful and friendly but not at all intrusive. You can buy honey and eggs from them and they provide some useful information in the barn near the toilet. We wholeheartedly recommend Rookery Farm - in our view it sets the standard for other CLs to live up to!

Our best CL yet

Stayed on this lovely CL in rural Suffolk in August. Met by friendly, knowledgeable owners who were very helpful. Local area flat with ample footpaths but watch out as many are overgrown

or poorly marked. Local highlights include Walberswick, South wold and Thorpeness. Good position for coast and countryside. Great store next door . Site is kept immaculate and there is a water tap on every pitch. Rated 4 for peace and tranquillity only because of railway and industrious farming as it was harvest time. Trains seemed to be hourly and stopped between 11 and 7 but did not bother us at all. Would definitely stay again. Will definitely be back.

Our own "Escape to the Country"

Pitch your caravan alongside the hedgerow and in the morning raise your blind and enjoy the view across the fields with your morning cuppa! This site is bliss - spacious, very well maintained, peaceful and large enough to offer privacy if you want it. Lots of dog walking opportunities, plenty of space to play if you have young children, and a shop two minutes away - I don't know what more anyone could want. Peter and Kathryn are friendly and helpful but do not intrude. We keep coming back and we are never disappointed

Absolutely brilliant!

We recently spent a wonderful week at Rookery Farm. The site is large, so lots of space and Kathryn and Peter were friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful.  The site is close to Southwold and Minsmere (of Spring Watch fame). Beautiful sea, countryside and bird life. Bliss. Bought some of the delicious home-made honey to take home. We wished we had booked for longer.

Horses, Barn owl, Honey and Trains!

This was the first of three CC cl's which we picked for location due to an impending hip operation, - we chose well, this was a lovely clean and well managed site with open views of the countryside and large well maintained pitches with water to each pitch (what a bonus when you are immobile). Grey water also can be deposited in the young hedges which grow alongside your pitch (another bonus). A railway line runs behind the site but it is not intrusive and quite a pleasant sound in this day and age - the stop at nearby Brampton is an unusual request and runs through to Lowestoft and although we didn't use it this time, we will return when more mobile as this site has many assets including its closeness to quaint town of Halesworth. Well done caravan club for this brilliant CL,- we will certainly return.

Five Star Plus

We cannot understand why Rookery Farm hasn't achieved a FIVE STAR RATING when all the reviews rate it as 5* - it's a perfect site, even when resorting to hardstanding pitches our stay was just as enjoyable and having the chickens as near(er) neighbours made it even more fun. Peter & Kathryn as friendly, welcoming and helpful as ever and the location is idyllic. Our first visit of 2016 but will not be our last
