Plas Onn Isa, A Real North Welsh Gem

We had a great welcome from the owner John, who was also very helpful in directing us via another route due to the normal access road being closed due to tree felling. The site is in a stunning location, with views off hills and valleys. A tranquil setting with only the sound off bird song. The site benefits from a well appointed and clean WC. Highlights off our stay were visits to, Bodnant Gardens, Penrhyn Castle and Conwy. Highly recommended, a special place to stay. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Another great stay.

We stayed again on this fabulous CL ,made all the better by the hospitality of John our host. Unfortunately the awful weather ,gale force winds and persistent rain, shortened our stay. But our perfect host was such a great help in assisting our departure , with his AWD and building protection boards ,this enabling us to leave the field, rather wet but intact! Thank you again John and Lynn. I thoroughly recommend this site, read all the reviews.

Brilliant site

Can only agree with previous reviews. Fantastic view. Very clean and well kept site. Easy walk downhill to bus stop for a trip to conwy - bit hilly getting back though.

Stunning Location

We stayed for 10 days at Plas Onn Isa, the CL is set in a wonderful location with stunning views. The host's John & Lynn are a lovely couple who are very friendly. The CL is very well maintained & the grass is kept short. The site is slightly sloping but there are plenty of levelling blocks around. We did not use the toilet but it was spotlessly clean. There is also a fantastic Pod which can be hired via Airb&b for non caravaners. The CL is highly recommended & is very popular so book in plenty of time. Thanks John for a lovely stay.

Brilliant site and views

Stayed for 2 nights in JUNE 2022 wish it was longer, beautiful site and well looked after I would say one of the best CL`s we have stayed at and there's been quite a few. I totally agree with all the other comments and if you are going to Wales make sure you book this one.

Great views.

We only stayed 4 nights, We wanted to visit Gwrych Castle where they filmed I'm a Celebrity. The site is well maintained with short grass pitches . Sloping but plenty of blocks to help. The owners were very pleasent and helpful. The lane approach is very ,narrow. But fortunately not used very much. Abergele although a typical seaside town, has a beach of rocks and stones, difficult to walk on. The town gives free parking which today is a godsend . We didn't have a lot of time to visit places although others on site told us a few interesting places to go. The castle nestled in the hill , so quite a uphill walk to reach it, I was offered to be allowed to take our car part way but I was a hero and managed it. The gardens are lovely. The castle is huge. The history interesting. I was shocked to learn it was distroyed, not by war but by New Age Travellers in 1996/1997 who squatted there . We met a lovely man who told us all about I'm a Celeb..... this in it's self was interesting. A good day out. . Book on line Concessions £8 including car park and map. Sorry I don't remember other prices.

Lovely Easter Break spent at this beautiful and tranquil site. The owner's are very friendly and helpful.

Lovely Easter Break spent at this beautiful and tranquil site. The owner's John and Lyn are very friendly and helpful, they provided local knowledge of walks and restaurants. The site is immaculate and has amazing views of the countryside. There are the usual facilities electric hook up and provision for emptying refuse, recycling and elsan. There is a toilet on site, which also houses the local tourist brochures. We have already rebooked for later this year as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Scenic and well maintained

Just spent two wonderful weeks at this site. The narrow access lane does test the nerves a little but the site is well worth it. This site it maintained to a high level with cut grass, clean recycling bins including dog bin, excellent on site toilet and clearly marked pitches with blocks available due to sloping site. The views across the valley are stunning and hosts John and Lyn could not be more welcoming. A real gem of a site and certain we will be back.

Great stay

Lovely hosts, took us to collect our hire car 30 mins drive away and also offered to collect takeaway from nearest village. Best site toilets ever been in and I have been in a few. Site views ace and very peaceful. Super. First time holidaying in wales, fabulous, will be back.
