Probably the best C.L we have stayed at for many years.

This C;L. is amongst the very best we have used in over 40 years. Everything neatly to hand and the levelling flags are a very welcome touch. We have a 61 year old caravan which is only 1.95 m wide, but it is easy to see how extreme care will be needed on entry with modern gin palaces, and it is ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL that Richards instructions with regard to arrival procedures are followed. Hebden Bridge secondhand market on Fridays, Keighley and Worth Valley Railway National Trust properties at Hardcastle Crags and East Riddlesdon Hall, all worthy of visits. We will be back.

Fabulous quiet little site

Fabulous little site lovely scenery and walks nearby. Only downside was getting in and out of the site but the owners were on hand with great directions and helped on and off the site through the narrow road. Wonderful friendly helpful owners we will definitely be back 😀

Very enjoyable stay

We have really enjoyed this site. Everything is as described. It is important to follow the directions on here and given by Richard. By doing this, we had no problems with access, but due to the extremely wet weather of late, we did have to be towed in to position. Richard was very calm and polite about this. We found him very friendly and helpful and felt he took pride in keeping this site well looked after. The important factor for us is that Millie, our border collie, gave the site her seal of approval 😀

Lovely site

A little tight to get into with a twin axle caravan but Richard was on hand to help. Lot of thought has gone into this site with levelling pads been laid so caravan was totally level, beautiful views over the countryside. Easy access to Halifax, Huddersfield and Leeds. Another lovely CL with lovely owners another one in the return diary Steve and Caroline

Nice Fully serviced pitches

This was our first break from our new home up in Yorkshire . Only travelled 8 miles. Richard and Barbara were very welcoming, The entrance is challenging but Richard guides you in and out . I have an Estoril towed by a XC90. Nice toilet , no showers , very clean . Loads of places of interest nearby . as are fish shops and pubs . well worth a visit .

A Lovely Site and Great Owner

A beautiful site just outside Halifax. Water and electric on the pitch. And, level slabs to put your caravan wheels on. Richard, the owner, is a great man. Please, please take my experienced advice. Avoid in the dark arrival. Unless you have a 4x4, avoid wet conditions…. Here’s THE most important bit…. Call Richard when you’re 5 minutes away. Richard will guide you in. It is essential that you listen and follow Richads guidance. I didn’t call him. 8pm in the evening and dark. I have paid the price of MY mistake. Will definitely return next year in the summer when the damage I caused is repaired. A lovely site and a very kind and helpful owner

Wonderful welcome

First time in a motor home. Terrific welcome and lovely chat with the owner. Great walks, fabulous National Trust properties nearby (Hardcastle Crags was one of our best walks ever). Small site, so not crowded. Drain, water & lecky, what more do you want?! Plus lovely clean loos! All round great break. Thank you.

One of the best

We recently spent a week on this lovely site, run by a lovely couple. Access is a bit tight, but with a phone call to Richard prior to arrival, he guided us in precisely. The fully serviced pitches make life easy, & the levelling slabs make setting up so simple. This is a brilliant idea, & it's surprising that more sites don't adopt this practice. This area is not the obvious place for a summer holiday, but there are many interesting places within easy reach, & good walks direct from the site.

West Yorkshire Wonder

Set on a hillside with lovely views across Shibden Valley this site gives easy access to a host of interesting places to visit. Although the site is sloping all five pitches have levelling flags making setting up a doddle though it is well worth calling up the friendly and helpful owner, Richard, to guide you into the farmyard. There is a family feel to the place with many people choosing to make regular return visits and the well maintained facilities make this easy to understand. You can walk to Shibden Hall and Halifax (Piece Hall) or use the excellent bus services if you want to leave the car on site. The Bronte Parsonage is a superb visit and many enjoy a trip on the adjacent steam railway. The whole area is criss crossed with wonderful walking - though best avoid the days when it is 30⁰'C because the hills are steep!

A gem of a site

This is a fantastic site in all respects. Water and drain serviced, spotless WC and Richard and Barbara could not be more helpful. Stayed for four nights in Aug 2022.
