There is not a lot more one can say which has not been already said.
It really is a gem of a site.
I think what makes this site stand out is the owners they are really caring friendly people , nothing is too much trouble.
If I can book in the future I would but I don’t think I will get a chance now with all these positive reviews, damn.
Beautiful small site overlooking Whitby Abbey
We only stayed one night in our motorhome as touring but would definitely return. An easy miles walk in to Whitby and a 20 min walk across fields to Sainsbury & Aldi. A warm welcome and very helpful to ensure we had all we needed.

Oh Yes!
Large pitches meant even with 7.8 metre motorhome and towing a car there was plenty of room between units. Outstanding views of the Abbey. Footpath to the industrial estate (don't worry it can't be seen) meant Sainsbury's or Aldi were easy for those forgotten things. We tried to book for another break before leaving and they were already fully booked for the dates we wanted. Obviously the word is out!

Everything a CL should be and more
Beautiful site, clean and well presented.
Jo and Stu are very welcoming and lovely people.
Site is ideal for walking, cycling and all amenities.
It is a shame that it is only allowed to accommodate three outfits at once.
We feel honoured to have visited and will certainly be back.
This new CL must be a contender for CL of the year it has everything a CL should!
Thanks for our lovely stay,
Wendy and Andy

Gem of a site
Well I’m doing this review but would like to have kept this site a secret! We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Poverty cottage after spending four nights. The owners Jo and Stu were very friendly and welcoming. The site is kept immaculate and offers superb views down to Whitby Abbey and the town. In addition to the shops in the centre of Whitby town a path from the site leads across fields to Scarborough Road for Supermarkets, shops and bus stop if you want a trip to Scarborough. In fact we booked again before leaving !

A little Gem
What a fabulous little site. Views to die for, ample space between outfits, well maintained short grass and immaculate service area, excellent TV and phone reception. Access to public footpath direct from site ideal for dog walking. Well placed for exploring Whitby and the surrounding area.
We had a lovely warm welcome from hosts Jo & Stu sharing local knowledge on places to visit etc. Excellent value. Can’t wait for our next visit.
