SMALL BUT PERFECTLY FORMED

First time at this relatively new CL & what a lovely CL it is. The fact that this site can only accept 3 units (Only due to current licensing restrictions) does not detract from its charm & convenience. There was a great welcome from the owner Jo, who explained the lay-out of the pitches & directions for walking into Whitby or access to the cinder track (disused railway) now a cycle/walkway route from Whitby to Scarborough. Easy access to the Cleveland Way / coastal path heading towards Whitby or South towards Robin Hoods Bay. A fantastic 180deg view can be had from your pitch, taking in the famous Whitby Abbey, the sea, Whitby town then out across the NY Moors. The site has been well thought out for both Caravans & Motorhomes, even some hard standing. Service area & Elsan Disposal was spotless. We look forward to returning.

If only I could give it 6 stars

We stayed here very recently for 2 nights. We had wanted to stay longer but it was full. Not surprising really, as the place is a gem. Absolutely spotless, only 3 pitches, with great views of the countryside and Abbey. Close enough to walk into Whitby, but far enough away to be peaceful. Coastal path (you can walk/cycle to Robin Hood's bay) is really close by. The owners are brilliant, friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back

Great Little CL

We spent four nights here in May 2021. Friendly and helpful welcome from Jo on our arrival. The site is immaculate and very well maintained with very organised services even the facility to directly empty grey water from our motorhome - not the norm on CLs. Also high standards achieved to make it very Covid secure. Fantastics views of Whitby and the Abbey which, during our stay, was made even more amazing by a firework display put on by the BBC who were recording a set by Coldplay for Radio 1's Big Weekend. Access to great footpaths leading out to the Coastal Path. Lots of wildlife in and around the site including Yellowhammers, White Throats and Skylarks and obviously the normal seabirds once you get to the Coastal Path. Can highly recommend this site. Great for dogs and footpath accessible directly from the site. Easy driving access to Whitby and of course very tasty fish and chips! Thanks to Jo and Stu for a memorable few days. Hope to be back soon. Early booking recommended!!!!

A Little Gem!

This is a lovely site! Easy walking into Whitby and easy access to a number of walks and cycle paths. The site is clean and tidy; very well kept. Jo and Stu are wonderful hosts; friendly and helpful, definitely a warm welcome. Lovely views towards Whitby Abbey; we experienced fantastic sunsets. Stayed for 5 nights.

Our 2nd visit

We visited this great site again last week for 3 nights. Jo and Stu are really friendly and helpful and if you are lucky enough to get a pitch you won't be disappointed. Ideally situated for Whitby and an excellent starting point if you fancy the return Cleveland way walk to Robin Hood's Bay. Also it's a great base for exploring the Yorkshire Moors.

Lovely little site

Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night December stay here. Wonderful and wide ranging views including hills, sea and abbey. It is a little exposed when it's windy but that's a price worth paying. Good hard standing and nice new facilities. Easy access to coast path and into Whitby. Couldn't really fault it. Thank you.

Abbey coming again

What a beautiful site. So close to Whitby and yet so wonderfully exposed to nature (well there were 50mph winds when we arrived). Jo and Stu are very friendly and extremely helpful. I had a problem with my car and the issues that caused us would have been far worse if it wasn't for the help of Jo and Stu. We recommend this place completely and if you manage to book a slot then you're in for a real treat.
