Good place to be

Second time in eight months, why, well kept, neat, tidy, friendly owners, ease of access to Stratford via the old park and ride site at Waitrose. £1 parking for 24hrs. Buses to Redditch, Evesham, Coventry, Leamington Spa, Warwick, Birmingham. Good walk across the fields, plenty of wildlife to see. Well done

Close to Stratford

We stayed for one night as we wanted to cycle into Stratford. The CL was well placed for this as there was a path and cycle way all the way into the town. The facilities are good with showers only 20p for 6 minutes. The CL offered good value for money at £12 per night. Clear arrival directions were posted and a handy leaflet was given to us. There was some road noise but we expected that as the CL is on a main road into Stratford.

September break

What a pleasant 6 night stay we had, good level site, easy access to local places of interest, good selection of National Trust places to visit. There is a bit of road noise, but this did not bother us at all. A big thank you for a good C L.

We booked on C/l site but were offered the barn site, which ever we prefered as we had been before on C/L we chose the barn site which we prefered, both £12.Plenty of information ,we have a motorhome and leaflet told you where you could park in Statford. Nice pleasant walk across fields to local villiage pub open all day.Busses stop near site we went in by motorhome as it rained all day. N.T. property near Statford . A good site for getting around area.

Good location, pitty about toilet block

Nice welcome with choice of pitch with plenty of room. I was given a handy leaflet with info on area ect. Two sheds one with eggs, jam and cakes the other with info on car parking tourist attractions. magazines and books. Fantastic location used old park and ride for £1 all day. The toilet block had 2 toilets and one shower plenty of loo roll, but the bugs and cleaning let it down. The toilet and sink looked clean but the walls .mirror celling and toilet brush where dirty and this didn't improve throughout our stay. Nice friendly dog that wanted to play with all the other dogs but it went to the toilet where it wanted. The sound of traffic could put some people off but didn't bother us .

Monks Barn Farm C.L. Site.

We stayed at Monks Barn in April.  We found it an ideal site for visiting Stratford.Park your car at the now closed park and ride for a £1 and walk in. Only takes 20 mins and you are into the centre of Stratford. We visited Hidcote N.T, Moreton in Marsh and several other villages all very close by. Will be visiting again.

excelent site for walking and Stratford

The site is excellent for Stratford . Bus Stop near by. park and ride no longer, but can park all day for £1 but no camper vans height restriction bus stop just out side car park . Good if you have a pass. Pleasant walk across fields to Local village pub. The C/L has hard standing toilets and shower which ran hot and cold.

Ideal Spot

We pitched here in early February. We had a lovely warm welcome from the owners, lots of info re buses, things to see etc. This is an ideal base from which to explore the area. The Park and Ride from Waitrose (up the road towards Stratford) is now defunct. There’s currently a good local bus network however, we used buses to visit Stratford and Leamington and left the motorhome on site. The walk over the fields to Clifford Chambers and the New Inn is quite pleasant, but a but squidgy on our visit. Wellies/Walking Boots are a good idea anytime for this. We recommend this spot, the only minus point is the road noise but this only seemed to be noticeable in the early morning.
