Excellent site for the New Forest

Site directions easy to follow, received text from Tim with code and pitch number. Welcomed when we arrived and shown to pitch along with information. Pitch size great with the ability to site it whichever way we wanted taking into account the grass and hard standing. We didn't use the washroom, toilet or laundry facilities but plenty did so cannot comment. Recycling and chemical waste indoors unusual but very clean and tidy, so appreciated, on hand sanitisers. Drinking water central although only one tap working due to pressure problems. Unfortunately Goodies chip bar wasn't far away! which meant my husband had to try them (i'm not a lover) first night he came back and said " I'd have thought they'd make their own batter as it was in packet!", however best batter on his haddock he'd tasted and chips were crispy and didn't stick together, needless to say he had to make the most of them. The meals I made in the freezer stayed there and came home and I had my own meals in the evening!! Let's say he's a bit of cycling to do. Several beach sides were in easy reach Netley Abbey beach beautiful on the estuary, Eling pretty watermill and harbour, Lakeside park and of course the New Forest national park. We like going for picnics, walks and cycling so it suited us and we had plenty of places to explore and go back to . Supermarket nearby if needed with petrol station. Tim and Catherine have created a lovely log cabin/summerhouse which is stunning with pool, with the weather we had we could have done with a swim in it. We enjoyed our 12 night stay as we were meeting friends who were at the same site for a few days whilst we were there. Our only negative was dog owners not keeping dogs on leads as requested this is not a slight on Tim or Catherine just campers not respecting others or the site.

great little site

This site is tucked away from the main road down a small lane but close enough to local pubs and fish shop. TIm was very helpful and looks after the site very well close to ferry ports will be using again.

Shame we were not allowed to use the showers!

A pleasant site close to New Forest attractions. Pitches beside stabling and paddocks. Easy walks into the countryside. Sadly, despite Caravan club announcing that showerand toilet facilities should now be open to us, the owners failed to open theirs to us upon our request. If we were paying a reduced rate then I would have understood that it was uneconomical to have them open but we had paid the full rate and at one time there were 4 units on the site.

Pleasant Site and easy access

A pleasant site so convenient to Southampton and Portsmouth. Off the main road but still an easy access. Liked the electric gate, on arrival press gate button and Tim lets you in, you do get the magic number once checked in. The directions are spot on, but it would be easy to miss the entrance to the driveway off the road, as its not clearly marked, so take care. Perhaps a Caravan and Motor Home sign would be useful. This is a neat tidy site, quiet and spacious. We liked it.

A good hidden CL

This CL is tucked away in lovely countryside and situated on the edge of the New Forest. It is close to the many attractions in the area including Exbury Gardens, Bucklers Hard and Beaulieu Motor Museum. For those interested in boats, Lymington and Calshot are also not far away. The site owners are friendly and helpful and the site facilities are good. We have just spent a very enjoyable and relaxing five days there and look forward to our next visit. A meal at the White Horse (5 mins walk) made a lovely end to our stay.

Lovely setting

Lovely setting with a pretty garden including a tree swing and brook nearby together with grazing horses. Clean and quiet with very good recycling facilities. The owner Tim was very friendly and helpful. Access to nearby villages in the New Forest was easy and cycling in Denny Lodge a sheer delight. The site layout was a little cramped with some confusion on arrival of where to place the van, so might need rejigging. A very enjoyable stay.

Great CL site

This CL site is lovely. We stayed here the first week in July when lockdown was eased. The owners are fantastic, very friendly and helpful. The site is very quite and peaceful and in a lovely setting looking out onto fields and paddock. There is a wonderful corner of the site that has seating and rope swing, our daughter loved it. There is also a labyrinth in the grass to find your way around. There are shower and toilet facilities together with laundry room but these were not in use due to covid19. Security gate entry by code means the site is very secure and the site is close to M27 and New forest for visitors wishing to explore.

Our first CL site

It was our first visit to a CL site and it won’t be the last. They are so much cheaper than main sites and so much more peaceful. This is a lovely site in a great location with friendly hosts. We were able to access cycle routes and a great walk to Ashurst across fields from the site was amazing. Definitely recommend this site and would not hesitate in coming back 👍

A convenient and accessible site with a calm ambience

We only found this site in 2019 but have stayed there several weekends and, at times, in the week also. It is so convenient to connections to the M27 at Junction 2 and also to local essential facilities. Yet it is peaceful and calm and very pleasant to stay on all day if you wish. If not then Southampton is 7 miles, Beaulieu about 9miles and Lymington about 12 miles. And in between? - 360 square miles of the New Forest where you can get away from everybody by walking 500 yards from any car park, and walking miles in beautiful scenery. We will definitely go back for these reasons and for the warm welcome provided by Catherine and Tim, who both go out of their way to be helpful.

A gem of a site

We have just spent another very enjoyable few days at this site. We have family in the area and had been trying to find somewhere to stay when we visit them and this is just the perfect location. We had tried other sites in the area previously but we found this to be far superior. It is a site with hard and grass standing which the owners are in the process of developing. As well as there being a shower (very clean and very hot...lovely!) a washer, dryer (even a clothes line) available for the use of caravanners, there is a lovely walkway around the site, incorporating a labyrinth and an area with seating underneath some trees, which our grandchildren loved. They also loved the fairy corner and the two beautiful horses (gentle giants) housed in a paddock on the site. If you are interested in alternative therapies then a number of these are available on the site, one of which I have promised myself that I will avail myself of during our next visit! It was very useful to be given, on our arrival on our first visit, a very detailed sheet giving information of where everything was located on the site. Also local Dr's numbers, the location of the nearest supermarket, even where the nearest fish and chip shop was! All valuable information and not often given on a CL site. We have enjoyed our stays there and are so glad to have at last found somewhere that we like so much. We were there last week and were amazed at how much has developed since Christmas time. It is a gem of a place and if you are planning a trip to Hampshire then this site truly is worth a visit. You won't be disappointed
