Lovely 3 days.

Thank you Shiela for a pleasant and peaceful stay at Magnolia Cottage. The shingle hard standing was perfect as the main field was a little damp. We certainly booked the right venue for exploring the Three Counties and to cap it all the daytime weather was glorious, the nights however were somewhat colder! We took Brians advice and had the carvery lunch at The Hunters Inn at Buckbury and had a wonderful Sunday lunch at a very reasonable price. For those that would like to eat within walking distance The Swan in the village was only a couple of minutes away. All in all we had a really good time with good hosts and good security. We shall definitely repeat the experience next time we are in the area.

Very welcoming and peaceful

Have just returned from this lovely peaceful CL. Mr and Mrs Moss and their son were very welcoming and helpful. We had to postpone our planned visit in August due to a Hospital procedure, Mr and Mrs Moss very kindly offered to carry our deposit over to this visit which was really appreciated. The Pitches are on a very well kept paddock with some hard standings available for wetter weather. It is very secure, the gates are kept locked at all times and you get your own key.

Excellent

This is a first class site, one of the best we have visited. The owners were very welcoming and helpful, even offering us apples from their orchard! Easily accessed from the M5, and level field, immaculately kept. Although only a short distance from the main road, it is quiet and very peaceful. There is garden centre a few minutes walk away where we had good cooked breakfasts and lunches. Several pubs close by too. Handy for both Cheltenham and Gloucester and the Malverns. We will definitely return.

Very peaceful

We had planned to stay for 5 nights but due to circumstances were forced to make last minute cut to 4 and Mrs Moss was fine about that. On arrival she welcomed us and opened the gates. We were offered the field or a place on the shingle approach to it. We chose the field which was beautifully flat and I was able to reverse the van into place in one sweep without the movers and without having to up with stupid little white pegs (sorry Club Sites - a bit of a bug-bear for me!) Mrs Moss was very helpful with info about the village and local walks as this was our first trip with our ageing German Shepherd. Two tiny grumbles; the waste water was raised which meant having to lift the wastemaster up (remedied by draining it more regularly and not letting it fill). They must have cut the site just before we arrived and we were forever collecting grass cuttings. The use of a grass box would take little effort and leave happier campers. Thank the Lord we remembered to take our G-Tech! Great site for star-gazers as there was so little ambient light the sky was spectacular. And finally, if you ever visit this site you must go to Just Rachel's Ice-cream parlour in Ledbury - ice-cream to die for!

What a delightful site. We were made very welcome by Mrs Moss. We stayed on the hardstanding for 3 nights because of the recent wet weather. The field was immaculate and very spacious. We will return

Perfect for our needs

We were visiting family in the village so this was perfect. Flat field with some hard standings close to the house but a pity there was no recycling which we had to take to the family. A tad expensive at £15/night with no facilities but it is secure with a lockable gate and very helpful owners.

Friendly and helpful owners

£15 per night includes electric, water, & waste disposal. Very friendly, welcoming, & helpful owners. Quiet and peaceful site, with security gate (key provided on arrival). Huge flat field so lots of space, in an area of historic and natural beauty. Ideal for accessing many nearby places of interest. Will definitely visit again.

Great site in lovely area.

Lovely site, huge flat field with plenty of space for easy pitching, very easy access from the nearby“ A” road. As commented in an earlier review this should be a really busy site but we were alone for the 2 nights we were there, may possibly be the price of £15 per night for a basic site with electric hook-up.  Great security, a gate key was provided by the very helpful owners upon arrival. We used the site as stop over for an onward journey to Devon & found it very handy for the M5.

Very nice CL

This is a very pleasant CL with a location in easy reach of many areas of interest. There is some faint road noise but not intrusive. The site itself is a large flat field with plenty of room. It is surrounded by tall hedges so there are no views. Access is easy via the house driveway but make sure you approach along the lane from the right direction or you won't be able to turn in. The owners are very pleasant and provide a key for the gate on arrival. We were there for a week on our own, there seems to be no reason why this CL should not be busier other than, possibly, the price. At £15 per night plus £1 for the awning this is at the high end of sites that do not have toilets and showers. The chemical disposal is a breese block structure on the edge of the field and not fenced off. Waste grey water has to be disposed of in this drain as well, this involves lifting the container about 18 inches (as previous review). The view on Google maps is well out of date, the static van has gone and the whole property updated.

Not worth the fees charged

Impressive entrance to an immaculate bungalow, but site, although spacious & level was like a roughly cut paddock. While we were there it was very wet, & because the grass cuttings had not been collected, our shoes & caravan floor were soon covered. There was no specific grey water disposal point, & we were told to tip it in the chemical disposal point, which is virtually impossible when the waste container has to be lifted about 18 inches. We asked about putting into the hedge as happens with many CL's, but were told that was not permissible as it would cause a smell & attracted rabbits. Although the handbook quoted a price of £12, we were asked on arrival to pay £15, very expensive for a site with very limited facilities We had to cut short our stay because of a fault with our van, & to be fair we were given a refund.
