En route stop for us - wish that we could have spent longer there!

We have visited many CLs over the years and this was “up with the best”. There was a very pleasant welcome (social distancing of course) and a lovely peaceful atmosphere on site. Everything was excellent and the facilities handy and easy to use - plenty of discreet Covid 19 precautions made us realise that being cocooned in your motorhome or caravan you can still enjoy new surroundings without any worries at all. Thank you for making us feel at home!

Lovely site

Used this site for a one night stop over. Received a warm welcome on arrival with the owner happy to advise us on the local amenities. Very large field with level grass pitches. As we had the field to ourselves the owners were more than happy for us to connect the water direct to our caravan, so we more or less had a service pitch. As there were no new arrivals expected for the following day we had no pressure to depart early so took the opportunity to visit the local town of Ledbury. Great site, would definitely consider using again in the future.

lovely quiet site, would recommend.

Mr & Mrs Moss were very welcoming, and we felt very safe re "Covid". Their site is a little oasis of quiet in a lovely village. We would certainly return when we are next in the area. The only problem we had was finding the site, but Mrs Moss was very helpful on the phone and she guided us in. Maybe the club should put a better explanation in their book.

Magnolia Cottage

This was our first adventure in our new motorhome. so we have had no other comparisons yet, but if this is the usual CL standard then we will have nothing to worry about! When we arrived, we were welcomed and shown around by Mrs.Moss. The site was grass, but well maintained with a very slight slope(1 or 2 steps on our small ramps) We are keen cyclists and found the area great for cycling, even if i did find a route using too many A and B roads! Highly recommend.

Lovely site

We have recently returned from a lovely two week stay at Magnolia Cottage CL. Due to the current Covid situation we decided to stay in one place the whole fortnight and choose carefully what we did when we were out and about. In terms of feeling safe, Sheila and Barry had implemented all the measures needed and there was hand sanitiser, distancing etc. all in place. The area was plenty big enough for 5 units with plenty of space to stay distanced. It was flat, well maintained and quiet. A really nice site. The location was ideal to see a range of places of interest as it borders Herefordshire and Gloucestershire with easy access to other counties and the Cotswolds. Plenty of National Trust gardens within reach and many with houses that may be open soon (remember to pre-book!). There is a garden centre open with a small licensed restaurant within walking distance if you fancy Sunday lunch out or coffee/tea etc. We didn’t eat there, but it all looked good. The local pub remained closed, but that didn’t matter. There is a locked gate at the entrance. We found it easy enough to unlock and it only took minutes. The plus side to that was the wide access and the security the gate provided by only those with keys being able to enter the grounds of the site. (Only one very small negative – the grey waste is difficult to access with a full and heavy waste container as it’s raised off the ground. Need to empty little and often). We would highly recommend this site at any time and will certainly go back again at some point!

What a gem!!

A warm welcome awaits this little piece of paradise. Although situated fairly close to the road it certainly did not bother our 3 night stay, peace and tranquillity were In abundance. The site is immaculate, extremely well maintained and taking into account the current Health situation very well organised. We will most definitely be returning sooner rather than later!

great cl

We've just returned home from a week at this lovely cl - site is secure with a gated entrance - owners are very welcoming. Pub about a quarter of a mile away - food is very good but a limited menu - there is also a garden centre with a licensed restaurant but we didn't use this. Site is very easy to find.

A Lovely Friendly Quiet CL

We rang ahead and the gates were opened ready for us to drive straight in. We were greeted by Mr Moss who is a model site owner. He couldn't have been more helpful. The CL is a huge area at the back of the house. Water, Electric and waste all close to our pitch. We had a fantastic week there touring the area, the CL is central for so many places. TV signal excellent, Mobile 4G on BT very good.Highly recommended by us and also dog friendly.

Great base to explore from!

Nicely welcomed at the gate by James (son) and shown to our pitch, he made sure the electric was working and we paid - £15 per night with EHU. Site is a good size with plenty of room to turn, even though it was empty for our stay. Sheila (mum) came to see us later in the afternoon to make sure we were settling in OK and asked to let them know if we needed anything. Garden Centre and pub within a 5 minute walk. Garden centre is extremely good with high quality plants and they also serve breakfast and lunch in their coffee shop (didnt eat there so cannot comment). Pub is very welcoming but one of our meals was very poor. In fairness they did deduct it from the bill as a gesture, but the manager (owner?) stayed behind the bar and got the young waitress to make the apology! We explored the local area, going to Gloucester and Tewksbury, both well worth a visit. We also went to the National Trust at Croome, about 25 minutes drive away. Really excellent and a great surprise. well worth a visit - take a picnic and some chairs as the grounds and lake are beautiful! A lovely weekend at Magnolia Cottage. Mr/s Moss and their son James were very welcoming and helpful without being overly so. We will definitely return! If we had to make a suggestion to the owners it would be to collect the grass when mowing. Thankfully it was dry for most of our stay but there was a lot of grass making its way into the motorhome!

Slightly disapointed

On arrival we were advised to use the gravelled area because the grass hadn't been cut. We were then told more members were booked in and would also be going on the gravelled area. The gravelled area would be cramped with more than a couple of units, was quite untidy and the outlook (old sheds) was not great. The next members to arrive chose to park on the grassed area despite the long grass. The metal gates are kept locked at all times and although this gives good security, we found the gates and padlock a bit tedious because there is no pedestrian gate. The grey waste which was also toilet waste was half a metre off the ground so full Waste Master had to be lifted. Lovely couple and very welcoming but we wouldn't return.
