My wife and I have stayed at dozens of CL's, and this has to be the best "bang for your buck" we've come across.
Spacious hardstanding, level pitches. 16 amp EHU. Easy access, even for a monster caravan like ours. Pristine shower/toilet block, complete with separated and heated shower room that is free to use. A huge stainless steel washing up area if needed. Plus a washing machine that is free for all to use, with donations requested instead, which are all donated to a local dog welfare charity.
The only thing that surprised me reading through the reviews, was that some numpty found something to actually complain about!
At the time of writing this review it is £15 a night all in, plus whatever electric you use tallied up at the end of your stay. What more can you ask for?!
First CL site we have used -
This is the first CL site we have used. Can’t fault anything about the site it’s just lovely, friendly owners, free showers, metered EUH which didn’t cost us much, in easy reach of many places. We used it as a base for football at Port Vale, will be returning when our club plays Stoke. Great location for Staffordshire area
Excellent site
We had a four night stay here. Lovely level hard standing pitch. Toilet and shower block with washing up area and also a washing machine and tumble dryer. The owners Alex and Vicky are very friendly and helpful. There is also a fishing lake. Will definitely be going back.
Campsite OK; owners do not seem to find cleaning important
I enjoyed my stay at this campsite, but mostly thanks to the other campers who were welcoming and provided local information. I hardly saw the owners (it turned out they were away for the weekend; on the Friday I happened to see the husband and on Tue morning the wife came to collect the camping fee before I left). The facilities were not cleaned during my stay and on Saturday the paper towels ran out. It is not right to expect the campers to clean the toilets and shower, especially when there's a pandemic on.
Because of Covid there was only one person at the time allowed in the facilities which worked fine thanks to a clear Occupied/Free sign on the door.
The pitches are OK (though I wouldn't recommend pitch 3 if you stay longer than one night, because of the stickiness producing tree behind it). It was disappointing that the road was much busier than you'd expect in a local area and there were no nearby footpaths or cycling lanes that could be used.
Excellent
Cannot fault this site.
Excellent value for money.
We have now stayed on several occasions and there will be many more to come.
Everything you need for a quiet break.

I'll second that
Just as described , we stayed in late November and a heated toilet/shower ? well what can i say .Lovely people with a warm welcome , check out their horse sculpture in their garden !!!
Well placed on the edge of Stoke on Trent and only 10 minutes or so from Cheddleton (steam railway and/or Churnet Valley walks ) . Nearby Alton Towers , Leek and Cheadle . It's a must stay .

Well placed for the Potteries and Staffordshire Moorlands...
This was an excellently presented site with two helpful owners Alex & Vicky. The loo and shower block was exceptional for a CL site and credit to these two young people for aiming so high in their site. The adjacent road was busy but this did not stop us walking our two dogs to the nearby Wetley Common - great walks here plus excellent views over the Potteries and Stoke area generally. Excellent base from which to explore the area and all pitches here are hard standing so its an all year round option.
