Nice site. Very welcoming hosts.

Had a lovely stay with Alex and Vicky in early June. We found our pitch marked for us on our arrival with a very nice welcome message and some money had kindly been put on the electricity meter by Vicky to get us started. Site easy to get to even with a reasonably large motorhome. Level pitch with pre pay electricity. Worked very well for us. The site facilities were spotless and the whole site in general was well maintained. We like evening sun so our pitch was excellent, the others were in the shade of the hedge at that time. There was a little bit of road noise from time to time but nothing too bad or would put us off from staying again. Vicky and Alex were wonderful hosts. Thank you for a great week.

O what a fabulous CL, with total peace and tranquility

We were on our way home following a break in Yorkshire so booked this CL with one of the site owners When we arrived we were greeted as though we were long lost friends, We were given choices of a pitch and to say the least the site is absolutely fabulous. In fact we have already asked if we can go there again hopefully in the not to distant future. And value for your pitch again brilliant, so would certainly highly recommend this site

First time

This was our first time out in our new van. The site was easy to find and access is good. On our arrival we was greeted by Vicky despite the pouring rain who made us feel very welcome. She quickly showed us the facilities and left us to it. The owners are very friendly, approachable and willing to help. When we stayed they was a bit of surface water but there had been lots of rain during the previous weeks. Drainage probably could do with improving but on the whole it was ok and didn't put us off. The toilets and shower block are very well kept as is the rat of the site. It's not a massive site but there is plenty of room between outfits.  We will go again as its only an hour away from us too. ??????

Cracking Camp Site

This is such a lovely little site.  Everything is new and well planned.  The couple running the site are very welcoming, friendly and understanding.  They could not do enough to help us this weekend.  The facilities are spot on and there is so much to do in the area.  We can thoroughly recommend a cuppa and piece of cake at Jacksons Nurseries just down the road. We only live ten minutes down the road but we have found out bolt hole and shall be visiting very regularly next year.  Highly recommended.

Likeable Luzlow

A really friendly welcome from Vicky on arrival and no problems setting up as we were the only ones there. Nice level pitches and facilities were very good and spotlessly clean. The toilets and bins weren't attended to while we were there but as we were the only ones using them, we kept them clean ourselves. No problem there! Vicky had preloaded £5 worth of electricity for us and I reckon we only used half of that over the two days, so next one on our pitch should have some credit - but not telling you which pitch we were on,    Laughing       Yes, there's a bit of road noise but mostly at rush hour times. We were happy cycling around the local lanes, with wonderful views over the Staffordshire Moorlands. The Stafford Arms in Bagnall can be highly recommended; friendly staff and the Rabbit, Smoked Bacon & Thyme pie was unbelievable. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her Sweet Potato curry too. This is a top CL and I only wish there were more like it.

Good site location

This site is very clean and well laid out. The washroom is great, however we were quite dissapointed when the toilets were not cleaned and washroom bin not emptied at all over the weekend.

Great site for a great price

Couldn't fault this site, we used it for a visit to Alton towers which was about 30mins away. We used £3 of electric for our 3 night stay. The Red Cow pub serves very good food. Liked the book in the toilet block with routes print out for local attractions & pubs.

Bargain Break

What a gem of  a new CL site. Very professional warm friendly welcome, pitched marked with   name. All pitches clearly defined, slabs to place wheels on.  £12 per night . Electric card meters ( 4 nights used £5 ) used all appliances Heating, Fridge/Freezer etc. very good value. On site at no extra cost Shower, Toilets, Hand Wash Basins, Large Washing Crock  Sink with hot water. This beautiful well planed excellent maintained site is one of the best we have visited as a new site,  has to be a but, the road can be noisy if you are not used to traffic noise, but hedge planting has already taken place to try and reduce it as much as possible. We would highly recommend a visit, lots of places of interest around , leaflets in wash room, or just relax watch the birds and wild life and enjoy a bargain break.

Lovely site

This new site is lovely. Pitches are spacious and the lovely private area for the site is immaculately kept. We were made very welcome and given information on where to walk the dogs just a short drive away as the road can be busy and there is no pavement Toilets and other facilities excellent You pay for the hook up by card - we only used about 3.00 and it's a very good supply. TV reception is also excellent  We will be returning there

bank holiday break

Just back from 4 day stay here, lovely welcome from Vicky .the pitches are well spaced out and level ,with slabs to put your wheels on.very good for motorhomes, toilets and showers are 1st class (better than some club sites )very well located for Alton towers ,and the staffs and derby-shire countryside  ( close to leek, buxton, stoke and cheadle   etc .there is some road noise but this does not detract from  a very good cl .PS we had some lovely eggs from there chickens
