Llainfran Holiday

We have just returned from a visit to Llainfran CL site near Newquay in Wales. We were greeted by Gary as soon as we arrived and both him and Jane are really good hosts. The site has quite a narrow entrance but a blue plough just outside stopped us from sailing past! The site is well laid out and each pitch has loads of space. Its a short walk to the water tap and a little further brings you to the lovely walk in shower/toilet and washing up area.Next to this is a barn for recycling and a small caddy is provided on the pitch for food waste. They have a field with some alpacas and donkeys and a small woodland walk around a little lake .Eggs are for sale in a little box with an honesty jar for the money. The site is near to Newquay but you do need to take your car everywhere as there isn't anything within easy walking distance. We will definitely visit again and would recommend the site very highly.

Lovely CL

Just returned from a lovely 5 day break at Llainfran CL. Booking was easy via the CL Booking App (clbooking.co.uk/property/310); Jane phoned me within a couple of hours of my enquiry to complete the booking and confirmation was sent via email. Owners Jane and Gary met us on arrival and were very welcoming and friendly. The site is lovely; peaceful and quiet but with easy access from the main road and into the site itself. Pitches are well spaced allowing plenty of room, with a lovely sea view. The site is sloping and levelling is required, but plenty of levelling blocks are provided on each pitch so this wasn’t a problem. After showing us the layout of the site, Jane provided lots of information about the surrounding area by email, including eateries, local bus routes and walking maps. 10 units of electricity is included in the price, we paid an additional £3 at the end of our stay (it was particularly cold towards the end of our stay so had the heating on more than usual) and thought this was totally understandable and fair. The site has 5* facilities including a shower, toilets (green toilet fluid), outside washing up area and laundry room. There is even a dog / bike / boots shower near the outside washing up area, and a dedicated fenced area where dogs are allowed off lead - Jane and Gary have thought of everything! Free fast wi-fi is included and TV reception is excellent. The site is in an excellent location for exploring the area by foot, car or bus. The local Cardi Bach coastal minibus service runs on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday (not sure whether it runs more frequently during the high season) and stops within ½ mile of the site. The coast path is approximately ¾ mile walk from the site, and a further 4 miles (approx.) to New Quay or 5 miles (approx.) to Llangrannog in the other direction. All in all a great site, would not hesitate to recommend.

Great find

Just returned from a short break at Llainfran CL Site. What a great find. The site is lovely - the vans are well spaced out and the view from the vans is beautiful. Jane and Gary, the owners, are very friendly and able to give you lots of information about the surrounding area. There is electric hook-up on site and also a "shower shed" with great facilities including a shower, toilets and laundry facilities. We also had excellent wi-fi connection and excellent TV reception. All in all a great site which we will definitely be visiting again and would not hesitate to recommend to any visitors to the area.

"Probably the best CL in the world"

We wanted a couple of nights away and the weather forecast looked good so we rang Jane and booked in for the following couple of nights. Received email welcome packs with all the useful information. Easy access, and lovely quiet pitch (number 3). We needed to level up but don't you always? This CL has everything you could want. Toilet, shower, washing, water, electricity, free wifi and chemical disposal - all in spotless condition and perfect. We struggled to find green/organic chemical fluid but they supplied that at a price that was much cheaper than Amazon! If you want a quiet, relaxing spot to explore this lovely part of Wales then you would be very hard pressed to find anywhere better.

Absolutely fabulous campsite.

We have just returned from our second stay on the Llainfran CL site. Jane and Gary are great hosts! Their care and attention to detail on the site is second to non. Facilities are 5 star and spotless. Peaceful location with stunning walks from the site to the coastal path and beaches. You won’t want for anything if you stay with them. It’s is the best CL site we have stayed on and will be returning next year. The area is truly stunning, so much to do and see in the surrounding area including dolphin shows in the bay at New Quay. Can’t wait to return! Jan and Simon.

Super site

Excellent facilities beautiful location wonderful area . We used it as a base for a mainly walking holiday again this is ideal as the walks are accessed directly from the site and were great, with absolutely no need to get into the car. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely visit again. Many Thanks Jane and Gary for your attention to detail it is why the site is so special.

A lovely two night stay

We only stayed for two nights as passing through to another location but can highly recommend this peaceful site, great facilities, a very green site encouraging eco welfare and recycling of all possible items. The site was immaculately cared for and we received a warm welcome. Beautiful scenic walk to New Quay and would happily book again if in the area.

Great site

We loved our stay here, beautifully maintained site and friendly and welcoming hosts. A bonus is the mix of animals kept there, alpacas, donkeys and a couple of inquisitive rhea. This was our first visit to West Wales and we enjoyed the beautiful coast walks. We have no hesitation in recommending Llainfran.

Another peaceful stay on a spacious well tended site with views and excellent facilities

Another stay on this lovely CL. The area is tranquil and scenic with beautiful beaches close by.The field is wide and caravans very well spaced with pitch markers and electrics. The whole area is very well maintained with a new shower and toilet building, dog walk and 16 acres to explore complete with animals. The sea is visible over the fields and trees with the Llyn peninsula in view on clear days. We saw bottle nose dolphins on a boat trip and from the harbour wall at New Quay which was particularly exciting for our young grandchildren who were staying In the super cottages. Jane and Gary always welcome caravanners and are very helpful both in the pre visit information and when you are here.
