Peaceful

The last part of the journey is single road and the access is down a lane that says not suitable for hgv’s but the site is not too far down this track. Nice well maintained area for the vans slightly sloping but wooden blocks are provided if you forget yours. Shower block is a short downhill walk, it has 3 loos and 2 showers. Well maintained plenty of hooks etc Dog walk areas are small but adequate. Laundry room to the rear of shower block bit pricey but handy to have when you’re away for a while. Lots of recycling. Caddy bins are provided for food stuff a shed area for everything is near the shower block. Overall impression peaceful site but we didn’t particularly like the area. Everything is quite a distance from the site and there is a lack of convenient food shops/supermarkets nearby for provisions so probably best to stock up before arrival. Didn’t see much of the owners. Quite strict on arrival and departure times. We did arrive early although we tried our best to time it right. Got the impression that this was a little frowned upon and it was pointed out to us so we felt a little uncomfortable 🥴 All in all it was a nice site but let down by the surrounding area (our personal opinion) and not on our ‘area to return to’ list.

A beautiful, peaceful CL

A quiet, calm, well spaced out site. A full 5 stars for all the facilities provided. In addition it follows all green principles plus providing nature trails, a hide over the pond, and a field with llamas and donkeys. Jane and Gary are true hosts and very helpful. Would I come again - a definite yes!

Our favourite CL

A beautiful place to stay. Very good showers and toilets, lovely days out to New Quay and Llangranog.

Enjoyable stay

Stayed here for the two bank holidays at the beginning of May 2023 and have to agree with all the other reviews. This site is very peaceful with great views of Bardsey Island and the Llyn Peninsular from the pitch. No traffic noise and lovely and quiet. The site is gently sloping but the owners Jane and Gary have provided enough wooden blocks to level the unit easily enough. Great welcome from Jane who advised where everything could be found. There is a central water tap, waste water goes into the hedge and electricity is metered. We stayed for 9 nights and 90 kwh are included in the pitch fee for the duration(10kwh per night) . We used 52 kwh for our stay. The weather was warm and sunny so no heating required. The site has a new toilet block with two separate wet rooms and an individual toilet. A separate external washing up area is also provided. Excellent recycling facilities. The site is part of the owners home yet they allow you to walk around the grounds freely to see the Alpacas, Donkeys, Goats and pony, there are also geese and chickens. The site is well looked after and the grass kept relatively short. E mail information provides details of local eateries and places to visit. The site is located near to the Coast path and you can walk to New Quay or Llangranog and beyond. There is a nice walk through the woods to an isolated bay and there is an easy walk down to Cwmtydu beach, the walk back up is a pull however. The site is in a great location, quiet, where guests are well catered for by very friendly owners Jane and Gary. We would definitely recommend this site especially if you like walking. Pitch fee was £24/ night which includes 10kwh of electric.

Best CL ever!

Well, what can we say that can truly reflect how good this site is? It is set in picture perfect and quiet location, with sea views and, in good weather, glimpses of Snowdonia. This was our first caravan holiday to Wales and we couldn't have been happier in choosing Llainfran as our base for a week. We received a really lovely welcome from Jane and Gary and given a quick tour around the estate to get our bearings - very useful and good to meet the animals and see the lake etc. Yes, the site is on a slope but wooden blocks are readily available if required. There is a excellent and impeccably clean toilet and shower block with Laundry Room available for guests use. The laundry facilitates were particularly handy and a reasonable cost too. Must mention the WiFi as well which was free and stable. The site is well situated for exploring the coves around New Quay and other areas around Cardigan and Aberystwyth. We will definitely return when next in the area.

Quite the best CL we have ever visited..

Have stayed at Llainfran twice and it just gets better! The facilities are excellent for a CL and include a new toilet block and a very handy dog-walk on site, It's ideally situated for exploring the Cardiganshire coast but if you only want to sit, and admire the sea view and surrrounding pastoral countryside, that's enough. Wish we had discovered this gem a bit earlier in life!

Fabulous site

Recently returned home after a 10 night stay. One of our favourite cl sites. Returned many times for the peace, tranquility and space. Improvements include a new toilet and shower block plus free WiFi. Fabulous views, easy access to lovely local beaches just short drives away. Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful owners. Enclosed dog run and walks from the site suited us with two dogs. The only small negatives are that the site slopes (but this improves the view and blocks are provided so not a problem, just takes a bit longer to set up) and no pub or shop within walking distance so just take your own wine and watch the sun go down..

Idyllic CL

Just back from a weeks stay on this idyllic site. Wonderful views down to the sea. So quiet we loved it. Plenty of space with large slightly sloping pitches. A very nice toilet block with three toilets, one with toilet, shower and washand basin and one with disabled facilities. Fresh newly laid eggs available. Very welcoming and helpful hosts. Excellent WiFi available. The CL is close to many beaches and coastal resorts. A visit to the Welsh National Wool Museum near Newcastle Emlyn is most enjoyable especially should you have a rainy day. Altogether a wonderful stay. We hope to return another year.

Brilliant CL

This site is set in a absolutely lovely location, with sea views, very handy for New Quay, Llangrannog, Aberaeron, Cardigan and Lampeter. This is the fourth time I have been here and always liked the site and the area. The new owners Jane & Gary have made a nice site into a brilliant one, they have installed a brand new toilet and shower block, ( 2 shower rooms with wc’s and a separate wc. Also to my surprise have had free WiFi put in. Felt very welcome and nothing is too much trouble. The pitches are massive and on a slight slope, blocks are provided. I going back next year.

Loverly quiet site

Stayed in July, Fantastic site, large pitches, great facilities. Very quite, just right for us. Great walks from the site, one even down to a loverly beach cove. Owners friendly, great communication and the hens lay great eggs which you can purchase. Will be back in 2023
