It’s all about the beautiful view.

The welcome was warm from Kendra & Mark and we were shown to our pitch No 4. The views are outstanding, we were left alone to set up. This is where we struggled, our pitch was quite sloping, and far off the hook up point, which meant the rear of the van was almost touching the ground, and the front of our van was high off the ground. However, blocks are provided to aid your corner steadies reaching the ground, but make sure that you have your levelling ramps with you. Consequently, due to the sloping ground it caused us problems with our grey waste disposal, as it was then an uphill run to the drain! Due to the height of the caravan, our step fell far short and we were virtually having to jump out of our van. I found that the chemical toilet disposal area was in need of de-weeding and a general sweep up. The information shed required cobweb removal and a missing panel replacing. The access gate was awkward to use as it dragged on the floor. Wi-Fi is provided and is good. TV reception is good. The site is peaceful with fabulous views. It’s quite a drive out to get provisions etc which can be on some challenging narrow roads. Be sure to heed advice if you are towing not to head down some of the narrow lanes. We will not return to this site - sorry, but it’s not for us. See Google for pictures.

Wonderful CL

We have just had a week at this wonderful CL. There are two hardstanding pitches and three grass ones. Each with EHU, fresh water and grey waste disposal; the chemical waste disposal is nearby and easy to use but you MUST use green chemicals. Entrance to the site is through a large gate with security padlock. Mark was very welcoming and a great host. Wonderful walk through the meadow which right now is filled with buttercups dotted with red clover and bugloss. There is also a great walk around a small lake at the bottom of the meadow. As we were packing up on our last day we saw three kites flying overhead. Highly recommended

Lovely jubbly site

We stayed at Greenacres for 6 nights in April. A lovely site with uninterrupted views. Just 5 miles from Lyme Regis there was plenty to do within easy reach.. Pitch was a good size and our 'neighbours'...the sheep and horses were delightful. The site is easy to find with a helpful and friendly host, who clearly wanted to ensure we enjoyed our time there. If we return to the area we would definitely use this site again.

Superb CL

This was our second stay on this excellent CL. The owners administration and maintenance are first class. Each pitch benefits from lovely views and have EH, water tap and drain, a definite plus. We will certainly visit again.

Excellent CL site

Booked for a few days over Easter, Very welcoming and attentive to any needs, they have only taken over the site since September. The CL site is lovely well maintained with beautiful views. For dog lovers there is a really nice National trust walk with amazing distant views out to Portland, Lyme Regis etc. I would say it’s about a mile from the site. I believe there is later plans to put in toilet and shower block as it would be a + and a great asset to the site. Overall a great place and very well priced and will 100% recommend and wish them all the very best in the future 👍

Had a great time

We have just returned from this CL having spent a week there and felt it was worthy of a review. The pitches are well laid out with all services nearby, it has fantastic views across the valley. Its in a great area to visit Bridport and the Jurassic coast although be aware that some of the lanes are very tight. For caravans/motor-homes etc I would advise exploring the access roads via goggle earth first as the post code relates to a generic area (not unusual in the country) The site has recently been taken over by new ownership, I wish them every success for the future. Its a great site well worth a visit.

Lovely CL

Lovely CL , well kept, clean , great views, we stayed on the hard standing, near the horses , which was nice , do need levelling blocks , and although it is nearer to the road than the grass pitches it wasn’t intrusive at all . We had a nice chat with the new owner Mark , and had a friendly greeting from his daughter when we arrived. Can walk to Lambert’s castle along the road , then there are more walks from there and spectacular views. Would definitely visit again

Beautiful site, lovely owner but only stayed a few hours

We booked and paid for 3 nights reasonably last minute after deciding we wanted a short break before heading back to work. Communication was perfect, Zoe was lovely. On site, the welcome is nice and thorough and the site is well thought out. The field has absolutely stunning views. Sadly though , it was wet so the field was off limits, so we were only able to use one of the two hard standing up the top which is by the house and the entrance gate. This part of the site is just a few metres from a busy road which we found very intrusive, at its quietist the road had a car every 10-15secs and it was loud. Having paid up fully and travelled 3.5 hours, we moved that evening, in the dark. In 6 years of caravanning we've never had to do this. Understandably no refund offered as it was our choice but still, we learnt to check maps beforehand in future to see where the roads are in relation to the pitches. If you are able to use the field or don't mind road noise then the site is glorious and Zoe is very welcoming and professional.
