An all round great site.

We stayed 4 nights in 2nd week of June to explore the local area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were not disappointed by anything. The site was clean, well managed and maintained and Peter was a friendly and approachable host. For us, it being a dog free site was a real bonus as our experiences have shown that sadly even when rules apply on dog friendly sites too many owners seem to think it doesn't really apply to them. We will certainly be back soon. Mike and June

Best site by far !

This is such a gorgeous site. We were given a very friendly welcome by both Julie and Peter which made us feel very welcome. The site is extremely well cared for, clean , tidy, has good amenities ( septc, water, electric, recycling, wi fi ) and is located beside an open field, giving a lovely open aspect. The pitches are nicely spaced and everything is really well organised. There is also a great little info shed with maps and leaflets of all local attractions, cycle and walking routes. We did two of the walks during our stay, both circular, which gave us an experience of the peaceful and scenic local countryside as well as the historic village of Bibury. We highly recommend Orchard Lodge and will definitely be returning.

Weekend escape

We have just returned from a relaxing 3 night stay. The weather was wonderful and such a peaceful site. There are two sites one grass the other hard standing which we were on and it was perfect with water tap to each pitch. A walk into Bibury is an easy stroll about 0.6 of a mile. We had a lovely meal at the Catherine Wheel and sat and had drinks in the courtyard of the Swan Hotel watching the world go by although a little expensive. Peter the site owner was very informative of local walks and the surrounding area and history. An information shed has a large array of walks and local attractions. We will definitely be returning. He also has a large vegetable plot and he sells his fresh produce.

Tranquil Site

This is one of two excellent sites with friendly, helpful owners. The booking was easy and directions very precise. Pitch details are displayed for your arrival and we were also met by Peter. Pitches were good and the information shed full of useful maps and literature. We will definitely be returning!

Great base for the Cotswolds

We stayed here for 7 nights in April 2023 and really enjoyed it. Peter was very welcoming and gave us lots of information about the local facilities and attractions. Each pitch has its own water and electric hook up and so keeping the Aqualroll topped up is easy. This was an ideal base for exploring the Cotswolds and we can certainly recommend it.

Beautiful peaceful little site.

On entry to the site our pitch number was shown on the notice board. We had been told that the owners were out but would introduce themselves once they returned. We were met by Peter after we’d set up and we could have chatted all day. Really nice, helpful chap who was more than happy to lend me his step ladder to sort an issue I’d had with a roof vent. The site was well tended and looked immaculate despite the torrential downpours the area had been suffering. The bonus of plumbed water at the pitch is always a welcome treat and 16a hook up is the icing on the cake. No grey waste container required as it can be left to run into the hedgerow. Locality wise Peter was very helpful with walking routes providing a map highlighting the walks from the site. More importantly he knew some good pubs too. Both Peter and his wife Julie couldn’t have been nicer hosts which gave us the initial impression that they were old hands at the game. Surprisingly it turns out they inherited the site when they bought the property not realising there were two sites on the land. This is all pretty new and I have to say they’ve taken to it like ducks to water. We’ll worth a visit. 👍🏻

Made very Welcome on arrival

Back again to this lovely site with a fantastic welcome from the owners, Julie and Peter. a very nice, quiet, well-maintained site with easy access into Bibury and several surrounding beautiful villages, a firm favorite of ours to stay (we have booked our 6th visit) There are a few very nice eateries close by too. We really believe we will never tire of visiting the Cotswolds and this very lovely site, Orchard Lodge.

Well Organised, quiet, excellent

Friendly owner, who met us on arrival. Passed on some local information, ensured we knew where everything was. Site is clean, tidy and well organised. Quiet, no barking/yapping dogs, a BIG bonus. We visited in March, and had hard standing pitch, EHU and fresh water on pitch. Free wifi onsite. How a CL should be.

Lovely Site, Owners and Area

Just a really well kept site, in a beautiful part of the world. Lots of lovely villages and NT sites around, don’t ignore the local village. Local Roman site a must, as well as Snowhill, both NT. Owners really friendly and helpful. Booked again for stop off going to Cornwall. But, it’s a destination in itself.

Fabulous CL

We have just returned home having spent a fabulous time at this CL site just on the outskirts of Bibury. Prior to our arrival we received an email from the owners, Peter and Julie, apologising that they wouldn't be there to meet us due to a prior engagement, however, within an hour of our arrival, Peter was knocking at the caravan door to welcome us and to provide us with information about the surrounding area. Within minutes, Julie, had arrived. What wonderful people. They were so informative about the site and the area. Very few rules on the site, but what rules there were, were common sense and quite reasonable. We had been allocated a pitch prior to arrival and were more than happy with it. The pitches are a good size and the site is well managed and maintained. On Peters' recommendation we undertook the alternative short walk to Bibury during our stay and I have to admit that it was well worth it. The surrounding area is well worth visiting and despite the fact that we had stayed in this area previously there are still many places of interest to visit. One in particular was the Roman Villa at Chedworth. We have to congratulate Peter and Julie for the effort that they have put into making this site such a wonderful place to stay. They are obviously very committed to ensuring that their guests enjoy themselves. We would have no hesitation in recommending this site to family and friend and we have every intention of returning again next year. Thank you both.
