Once again we traveled to Green Gables and received a very warm welcome from Peter and Jenny. We look for sites which are uncluttered by rules and regulations where the dog is happy and welcome and family and guests can visit us any time . All we ever ask is for electric hookup water and waste disposal plus peace tranquility and wonderful happy owners who always make us feel welcome. Thank you for having us we had a wonderful weeks holiday and will be back again soon.
The warmest welcome ever.
Review Green Gables Bristol BS16 1SS
We stayed at Green Gables CL on the 3rd June. We used it as a stopover on our trip to South Wales this is a delightful little CL with plenty of room with good electrics set on an old farm field so the ground is grass but firm, I have a 7.8metre Motorhome weighing in at over 4tonne, and had no problems on site. The access through the proceeding village is manageable with care as there is one pinch point at a narrow bridge, the signage to the CL could be improved but as the owners Jenny and Peter are on hand to talk you in should any confusion arise and the welcome you receive from them both more than makes up for any stress caused. As a dog owner this CL is ideal as you can exercise your dog within the CL and there are lovely footpaths close by that take you to the local Pub.

Access and road noise
This is a very well kept site , with very helpful owners . Lots of walks and pubs easily accessible from site . Access could be difficult for a large unit due to diversion . It is a great site however there is constant 24 hour road noise from near by motorway so could not be described as entirely peaceful.

What a lovely welcome
We stopped over here before moving on south
On arrival Jenny was there to greet us and show us where to go etc.
Now having towed my tow car for the 1st time i found out that the auto locking had activated so the doors was locked with the key inside !!!
Jenny got straight on the phone and within 15 mins someone arrived to sort it out.
I won't go into detail but we got into the car in a matter of minutes.
So thank you very much Jenny and all concerned and hope to see you soon.
Lovely site and people
What a welcome!
This was our second visit to this site and what a welcome! Jenny met us at the gate to show us our spot in the lovely, flat, well kept field. She quickly rustled up a couple of coffees and even a treat for our two dogs.
Our daughter lives in Bristol and this is the perfect site for access to the city and surrounding areas. There is a low constant hum of the M4, but definitely not intrusive. As the motorways and ring road are very close, ease of access is very good so a little noise is very acceptable.
The field is very well drained.. we spent 5 rainy days there and the ground was still firm underfoot.
The site is nicely tucked away in a pretty hamlet and there are plenty of walks nearby without having to drive. Our dogs were in heaven.
We will be back!

Perfect for Bristol
We stayed a couple of nights in May, while visiting family in Bristol, so close yet you could be miles away. The M4 fades to a slight hum and a walk up the road takes you into real country life. We shall be back.
Perfect!
We booked for 2 nights in February to visit family in Bristol. Usually stay at Baltic Wharf but you have to plan ahead and our newest grandsons birth not on schedule meant they were full as ever. However from the minute I spoke to Jenny I was pleased we could not get in the other site. Excellent directions around road works. We are a 7 metres coachbuilt and easy to get in and out. Super greeting and tea offered along with excellant information and tours of where we could get buses. Site is very relaxing...yes you can hear the m4 but it does not interfere with the pleasure. Site is well drained and not boggy despite a full day of rain. The only area which got a bit boggy is at the gate entrance as everyone treads the same path. No facilities which was fine for us. Good recycling and toilet emptying. We will definitely return.

What a welcome
We lost ourselves on route due to me being very tired, but Peter came out and met me guiding me in where Jenny met us with a pot of tea for me and a pot of coffee for my wife, should get a job teaching other CL owners how to meet and greet your guests, lovely site short grass and easy access to water and disposal points, the best greeting we've ever had in 30 years of caravanning,
Thank you Peter and Jenny you made the long journey well worth it

Great Site - Warm Welcome
From the minute we rang the owners could not have been more helpful and welcoming. We were advised of the roadworks and to follow the new directions on the website - directions were clear and easy to follow. On arrival we were offered a cup of tea (super lovely) - advise on our onward journey and amenities were pointed out. Great dog walks near by. 😀 Definelty one to revisit.
