Return visit to Gorsgoch Farm

Returned to Gorsgoch Farm CL for 10 nights in June. They have installed hardstanding pitches since our previous visit and they are truly excellent - level, well spaced in a single row facing the sea view towards South Stack and wide enough to accommodate caravan plus awning plus aquaroll/wastemaster within the hardstanding. Site very well kept. Great walking on The Range just up the lane. RSPB visitor centre at South Stack does good food and the lighthouse is open for visits to climb the tower. Great views of seabirds during the nesting season from the cliffs and lighthouse path. Had some lovely cycling on Anglesey's quiet country lanes.

Fantastic location, panaromic views

Easy to find , about 10 minutes from Holyhead. Very well kept site, good sized hard standing pitches, well spaced out, each pitch facing the sea. All services sited in one location close to site entrance. Owner friendly and helpful. We stayed 4 nights and didn't need to drive anywhere. There is an extensive choice of stunning walks direct from site, spectacular cliff top views and brilliant sunsets. We really were spoilt for choice and plan to return. It's possible to walk to the South Stack Lighthouse and RSPB visitors centre, there is a cafe gift shop and picnic tables. There are numerous walks from here too. Highly recommend a few nights here.

What an amazing place for a CL!

We have just spent 3 nights in early Nov. The weather has thrown its might at us in both rain and tranquil sunny sky! The site has 5 very well made flat hard standings with simple (but good) waste facilities. The walks from here are lovely, especially for dog walkers. Holyhead is not far away for anything else ….less than 15 drive. I’d love to stay here again. Thank you!

Our New Favourite CL

We have just returned from an excellent CL site, Gorsgoch Farm, at Holyhead, Angelsea. The pitches were immaculate and very large. The views were amazing and we had views of the sea, ships, ferries, sheep cows, a lighthouse, a mountain and stunning sunsets. The facilities were basic but adequate. Access was fine, although a little tight on leaving. Information on walks, restaurants and take aways are provided in the refuge shed. We never got to meet the owners but they always provided very quick email responses. The site is a couple of minutes walk from The Range, a RSPB reserve. This is one of the most picturesque places we have walked, with panoramic sea views, views of South Stack lighthouse at one end and Treaddur Bay at the other, both of which can be reached from the coastal path. Other walks we enjoyed were Holyhead marina and breakwater, Breakwater Country Park, Treaddur Bay, SouthStack Lighthouse and Holyhead Mountain but our favourite was from the marina along the rocky coastal road to Breakwater Country Park and then up the mountainside towards SouthStack. This has become our favourite site and we cannot wait to return.

Excellent CL Site

Excellent CL Site, very clean and tidy. There is an electric point and large hard standing pitches. Spectacular scenery. Easily reach to South Stack. Beautiful coast and plenty of walking areas. This is our second visit to this cl site. Highly recommended. Thank you for our lovely stay.

Lovely peaceful site

Last week was our second stay in this lovely place. The last pitch seems to be slightly sloping so no need for levelling. Really handy if you drive about in your motor home. The pitches are large and well kept. The area is excellent for walking with spectacular scenery and wildlife, particularly the Range, we watched helicopter rescue training one afternoon. South Stack is also great at this time of year if you enjoy bird spotting. Looking forward to our next visit.

6 Wonderful nights

We stayed for six nights in our motorhome at the end of May 2022. This has to be one of the best located and prettiest sites we have stayed on in the UK. Direct access to a beautiful coastal walk plus little more than 1 mile from the RSPB reserve at South Stack. From there it is a wonderful walk high above the sea through to Holyhead or to climb Holyhead mountain. The 5 hard standing pitches are level and surrounded by well-kept and drained grass area. We cycled along the coast direct from the site and again it was stunning scenery. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending this site

Great site with excellent views

Excellent site well kept and excellent views across the sea towards South Stack. We visited in February and was quite windy which was not unexpected considering the location but was not a problem. Directions were accurate and no problem for long twin axle caravan, tv reception excellent and great internet using a Vodafone SIM Will definitely be back

Gorsgoch Farm

A very pleasant CL set in stunning scenery. Large flat field with plenty of room for the units to spread out, each pitch has its own hook-up. Easy walking to South Stack and around the coast paths on the Range. Fresh water, chemical waste and recycling all within one building near the entrance. Larger motorhomes and long caravans may need to plan their route through Holyhead rather than relay on satnav giving shortest route as some of the streets can be quite narrow. Will certainly be returning back here.
