Scenic CL

A well cared for and maintained CL in an extremely scenic location overlooking the Irish Sea and the South Stack lighthouse. The CL was easy to find being an easy drive from Holyhead. We were given a friendly welcome by the owners Tom and Stacy on arrival. The gravel drive into the field has a wide easily accessible entrance gate. The field is firm and level with well cut grass. Pitches are well spaced out with a separate hook up point for each pitch. Water, CEP and rubbish facilities are all good. Each pitch has open views. The RSPB visitor centre can be seen from the site and is about a 30min walk away. The views from the cliffs of nesting seabirds are well worth the walk. A few minutes walk along the lane from the site is The Range, another part of the RSPB reserve. This part of Anglesey is lovely, with lots of interesting and pretty places to visit by car or on foot. As reported by others mobile phone coverage on site is poor, we had no signal with both 3 mobile and O2, but this will not put us off visiting again. We definitely want to return for another visit to Gorsgoch Farm.

Utterly lovely

This has to be the best CL we have stayed in for years. Great facilities and level easy access pitches from which everyone has stunning views. Each night we were able to watch the sun sink into the sea just off the edge from the South Stack Lighthouse. Fantastic walks in the area and within 10 minutes drive to the excellent White Eagle pub. The whole of Anglesey was a bit of a revelation and was even nicer than the rest of North Wales. The only fault for us internet junkies is that our EE comms were poor so perhaps the owners would consider introducing WiFi.

The best so far.

We have just spent an amazing week at this beautiful site. We tend only to use CL sites and this has to be the best so far. The site is very spacious and well cared for with all the usual facilities of water, toilet emptying, rubbish and recycling close at hand. What really gives this site the edge is its stunning location, the photographs in the write up are what you get, views to die for, very easy access to the coastal path, sandy beaches and coves and behind the pitches the fabulous backdrop of the Snowdonia mountain range. We absolutely loved our stay here. Thank you so much to the owners for the nicest holiday ever.

Lovely Sea views, but a bit isolated.

This was our 1st ever trip to a CL so we have nothing to compare to. We enjoyed the informality and peace and quite. Within a 30 minute stroll is South Stack lighthouse which encompasses a RSPB reserve. At the reserve there is a visitor centre and cafe. This CL is good for those who want to get away from it all, From the site we found some good dog walks (turn left out the gates). A negative is that there is nothing else close by so you could feel a bit isolated, we took everything we needed with us so we didn't find it a problem. When you arrive you just pitch where you want and we never saw the owners until it was time for us to pay and leave, which was fine with us. We enjoyed our time at Gorscoch Farm and it was a good introduction to the CL network.

Fantastic Views

We stayed here for two nights during our tour around Anglesey. This site was easy to find, you choose your pitch on a first come first served basis. But all pitches are level and have exactly the same view across to South Stack. The site has EHU, drinking water and chemical disposal point but no grey water disposal. You get rid of this along the hedge as you leave. All very relaxed, the owners don't come anywhere near, I had to go and find them to pay before we left. The site was a little noisy from traffic noise as its the only route to South Stack but it was August so it was bound to be busy! We would definitely go back again.

First stay on a CL - A good experience

This was my first time on a CL site so I have nothing to compare this site with. The site is set in a small field with five EHU points well spaced out. The site has lovely views out to sea and over the bay to South Stack Lighthouse, we could just see the top of the lighthouse over the cliff tops but the light could be clearly seen at night. We pitched at the far end of the field which seemed wetter than the end near the gate but as we had rain showers throughout our stay it never had a chance to dry out, it did not cause us any problems though and I used the motor mover to move the caravan the small distance to a dryer part of the field when leaving so as not to churn up the grass. The field is level and the grass was kept mown . There is a small shed at one end of the field which is divided into the toilet waste disposal and the rubbish bins, which have separate containers for recycling. There is a tap for cleaning the toilet cassette on one side of the shed and a drinking water tap on the other side of the shed. There is also a notice with the names and addresses of some local pubs and restaurants which was useful. The only time we met the owner was on the second day of our stay when I went to pay. Their house is adjacent to the site so they would always be on hand if you needed them.  I would recommend this site and would return if I was visiting this area again. All in all a good experience for my first stay on a CL.

booked for 3 nights but stayed for 12 nights

We intentionally booked 3 nights to see what the area was like.   When we got there we immediately asked for seven nights and then added another five nights after this.  The owner had no problem meeting our requests. Stunning views with nothing but the sounds of nature.   Easy access to the entire of Anglesey and Snowdonia.

Stunning Views at Gorsgoch

Our second stay at Gorsgoch was as memorable as the first. Minimum fuss pre-booking and the owners very helpful and flexible. Our pitch was level and well drained with stunning views towards South Stack Light and Ellins Tower. We watched the sun go down each night in total silence. The RSPB reserve is a couple of minutes walk and we had it to ourselves. Wonderful close up views of seals and Gannets plunge diving for food. We will return and soon, this is a wonderful CL and a credit to the owners.
