Hidden Gem

We’ve recently stayed 5 nights at Gorphwysfa and were very sorry to leave this peaceful and tranquil site with lovely views and it really is a hidden gem. Phil and Sue made us extremely welcome and nothing was too much trouble all the time we were there. The toilet block / shower was immaculate with plenty of hot water. TV reception was also very good. Gorphwysfa is also ideally situated to visit Cemlyn Nature Reserve, Cemaes, Amlwch and Parys Mountain and only 15 minutes away from Holyhead where there are major supermarkets. A large field next to the site is used for dog walking which is also a plus. Free range eggs are also available to buy from Phil and Sue and they are delicious! This is one of the best CLs we have stayed at (and we’ve stayed at many over the years) and we’ve just booked for a further 5 nights in June. Thank you so much Phil and Sue for making our stay so enjoyable and we’ll see you again very soon.

Beautiful, tranquil site

We have been on the site 4 nights and sad to leave . Phil and Sue are two very kind and welcoming people and we are so glad to have met them . The site has outstanding views, with peaceful and tranquil surroundings . Water and electric on your pitch , great shower and toilet facilities . Short walk to the beautiful bay of Camaes , and bus stop close by . Thank you for an excellent four days and look forward to returning .

Easter hols first trip of the year

Lovely new CL site just starting out . We were only their 2nd booking . Phil and Sue are very welcoming and we’re on hand when we arrived . Good local knowledge for easy walks into Cemaes Bay and down to the nature reserve at Cemlyn . Easy pitching and we could pitch whichever way we wanted very relaxed . Good to have water hook up direct on pitch and chemical toilet cassette wash out station by toilet block. Great new shower room with plenty of hot water . Further shower rooms and accessibility facilities being developed . Lambs and sheep in the fields , next to the pitches and Phil and Sue have many chickens with eggs to purchase too . One thing to bear in mind for the owners is at the entrance there is the certified location caravan and motorhome club sign but could do with the name of the site Gorphwysfa above it on a plaque so members know they have got the right place as I drove past thinking there maybe a few sites down the road also . All in all very friendly owners I’m sure they will do well in their new venture .

Lovely Place to Stay

Just had a nights stay at this fantastic site. Phil and Sue made us feel so welcome and were so helpful with places to visit and local walks. Nothing was too much trouble, we forgot our phone charger and they went the extra mile to find us one that fitted out phone. The site is large with plenty of space between pitches and very well kept with water and electric by each pitch. The shower and toilet block was spotless. Its a perfect base to explore the island and one of the best CL sites we have stayed on. A plus is fresh eggs can be purchsed from Sue everyday. Thank you Phil and Sue we look forward to our next visit.
