Happy Place In Worcestershire

From booking to leaving this CL is, without doubt, amongst the very best we have ever visited. The descriptions of the site on the CAMH site and its own website are entirely accurate and the communication received before, during and after booking were excellent. This continued throughout our visit and just before departure we were delighted to meet Emily and talk to her about her father Matthew’s vision for the CL and coincidentally a good friend and former neighbour of ours - Jenny Davidson, author of the Shakespeare’s Avon Way booklet available on site and which we followed on local walks. The pitches on this CL are spacious, fully serviced and have open views across the meadow. Pershore, a delightful “Georgian” town is an easy walk and a visit to the Abbey is an absolute must see. The folder provided for each pitch provides an enormous amount of useful information which we used to plan each day. I could add more and more but suffice to say, we will return to our happy place!

Wonderful site

Have been looking to book here for a while and was delighted to be able to get a pitch for four nights. Emily's communication was second to none, with informative emails prior to our arrival and the best info pack I have seen. This contained detailed walks ranging from a mile to an 8 mile pub walk, making suggestions which to avoid in wet weather. We enjoyed the river and wetland walks, and followed the history trail in nearby Wick. Pershore itself has some stunning Edwardian buildings (info pack has details on these) and some lovely pubs and cafes, independent shops and a supermarket. All pitches have water, waste and electricity which is metered at a very reasonable rate. We would not hesitate to recommend this site, and look forward to returning next year. Thank you Emily, and congratulations CL of the Year award which is very much deserved.

Lovely site, ideally situated for visits to Pershore and Evesham

Goodleigh Hill CL is ideally situated for visits to Pershore, being just a short (15 mins) walk away. The permissive path from the site takes out a all of the road walking, the rest is on pavements. We also took the bus from Pershore to Evesham to visit the Medieval Fair and Battle of Evesham re-enactment. Emily is incredibly well organised, providing lots information pre-arrival and a great folder of information / maps / leaflets on the pitch. She is also a wealth of information on local walks, pubs etc. The site is well-secured and has spacious pitches, all with hook-ups and water. There is some road noise from the adjoining minor road, but overall the site has a very peaceful and secluded atmosphere. We will definitely be returning!

Charming site and owners

Third visit to this lovely little site with easy access through a secure gate, spacious, fully serviced, hardstanding pitches. The site is kept immaculate by Emily and Mathew some great touches include the loan of maps with local walks and places of interest plus a cupboard with local produce to purchase. Appears to be an abundance of events happening in the area, Medieval Jousting in Evesham, live music in Pershore and we went to Worcester cricket club to see the Queen tribute band, Flash. 5 minutes walk to the river with free fishing and ten minutes to Pershore with its beautiful flower baskets, glorious Abbey and delightful shops and cafes. I can recommend the Star Inn in Pershore and Queen Elizabeth in Elmley castle for great lunches at reasonable prices. Lots to see in the area including Croome Court NT and not far to Upton on Seven, Great Malvern,Worcester,Evesham or the glorious Cotswold villages.

Excellent CL and super helpful owners.. Recommend

Really excellent CL from start to finish. Booking process easy, informative and comprehensive. Easy to find, very secure and the best information folder I’ve ever seen. Emily was so helpful and pleasant. Fully serviced, hard standing pitches with loads of room for a twin axle caravan, awning and large car. Pershore just a 10/15 min walk.. Can’t recommend highly enough. A must try CL …..

Great CL Site

We stayed at this CL site for 2 nights 8 & 9 July. Emily is amazing from her very informative messages prior to arrival with really useful info. The site is fantastic, a lovely view across the meadow. The site is very well managed with a great welcome pack of information. Emily is full of great information we walked over to the Delphinium fields on her suggestion, they were amazing we will be back next year to visit the confetti fields. The walk into Pershore is about 15 mins and there is a butchers and even a fish monger! Lots of places to eat and drink. We enjoyed a meal at The Angel. Thank you so much Emily your attention to detail it is very much appreciated.

Fantastic CL!

We stayed here for five nights in early June. The superb experience started before our arrival with Emily’s WhatsApp messages letting us know our pitch number, arrival directions etc. Every pitch comes with a fantastic information folder put together by Emily who is a mine of information on all of the surrounding area. All in all a superb CL which we will definitely return too.

First time visit but not our last

We visited Goodleigh Hill for the first time in June. Thanks to Emily one of the site owners our stay was excellent. The welcome pack and information folder left for you next to your pitch was outstanding. the Information provided was relevant to making your stay as full and pleasurable as possible. It contained information on the site it's self, the immediate surrounding areas such as walks, shops, places to eat and drink, together with information on historic locations and local events. Emily was during our stay very helpful and extremely knowledgeable to ensure our stay went well. Thanks again Emily and Goodleigh Hill for an enjoyable stay and we will definitely be back.
