Holiday

Really lovely site arrived in sunshine made very welcome. Our dog loves playing in designated dog exercise area which is big everywhere kept nice grass kept low . Pitches good size, middle pitch is where we are connected straight to water tap so self fill which saves alot of hassle filling Aquaroll. Fully recommend this site off to explore surrounding areas great for holidays and weekends away.

Such a lovely site we will return

Glanrhos Farm is an excellent CL. The facilities are perfect with an individual water tap and a little flower-garden and separate bird feeder to each pitch. All roads to the site are nice and wide and there are lovely National Trust properties and pretty coves all around. Mike and Jackie were amazing hosts - they reminded us of directions by text, they welcomed us with 6 free eggs from their friendly chickens and they invited us to the farmhouse for drinks. We were definitely spoiled by the care shown to us on our visit in April and plan to go back when it's a little warmer.

One of the best cl sites we've stayed at ..EXCELLENT !!!

We had a lovely 4 night stay at this cl site in the middle of September '18 . It's a credit to the owners , who were very friendly and helpful. I agree with all the other reviews how nice this site is. The views from our caravan were excellent .It was nice having our own water supply .Also the large field for "dog walking" was mowed regular and kept short . We also got eggs from their chickens...The coast line was as nice as north Cornwall ...we saw seals in the bays and dolphins ...A seal was swimming at the side of a body boarder ,Amazing site !! We've booked to come back here for Easter next year and have broken our "unwritten rule" not to go back to the same cl site as there's so many to choose from ! A very clean well kept cl site and very friendly !

Super site, lovely area, brilliant hosts

We have just spent 4 nights here. As others have said the welcome was lovely. Michael called to see us as we were setting up and invited us to call at the house when we were ready. We were invited in and met Jackie. Given a folder absolutely brimming with local information and leaflets. Also given freshly laid eggs for our breakfast the following morning. Such a lovely touch. The site is well laid out with EHU and water to each pitch and the dog field is large and close mown, great for the pooch to run around on. Michael called on us every day to check that we were ok. His and Jackie's local knowledge of places to visit (and the best routes) was really helpful. Whilst we were not lucky enough to catch sight of the local sealife (whales, porpoise etc) we saw an incredible amount of red kites, some at really close quarters - beautiful! Parking a 7.7m motorhome in some of the harbour areas and villages was a bit of a challenge at times and many of the car parks have a standard £6.10 charge for "caravanettes" for up to 24 hours (no overnight sleeping though) which was a bit much if you only wanted to stop for an hour or so. Overall a great stay. Thanks Michael and Jackie x

Beautiful and Peaceful

We’ve just enjoyed a very relaxing holiday at Glanrhos Farm. On arrival we were greeted by Michael, one of the owners, who advised us about the pitch which as well as having electric hook up also had water laid on to each pitch and all the pitches are hard standing. After we had set up there was a knock on the door and Micheal and his wife presented us with new laid eggs for breakfast! A great deal of effort has been taken to make the pitches pleasing with the planting of a dividing garden between each pitch and there are lovely views towards the sea. A large field for dog walking and the presentation on arrival of a folder giving details of amenities in the local area as well as details of the out put of elactricty on the site. They went out of their way to help during our stay and advised us of storms approaching and offered help to take down the awning. During the stormy week they check with all five caravans each day. On our first Saturday we were all invited into the farm for a drink which was a nice opportunity for us to meet the other caravaners. Michael and Jackie are lovely welcoming people and we recommend the site with every confidence.

Great CL to stay and to explore Cardigan Bay

This is a stunning site with lovely sea views, well located with easy access from the main A road, and with no narrow lanes to negotiate! It is off a B road which gets a little bit busier at work times but otherwise is fairly quiet. Mike and Jackie are very welcoming owners and go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay. When storms were forecast Mike visited each caravan to ensure we were all aware and either took down our awnings or used storm straps. Each pitch is demarcated with planting which is going to look even prettier as it matures, and each has its own water point - a big plus! Its difficult to add anything to all the other great reviews. I'm sure we will be returning a lot more in the future!!

Most lovely and welcoming owners to a lovely site

We were late arriving (2130) and Mike came out to greet us and we got to choose out pitch. The site its self is surrounded by lovely well looked after fields great for the dogs to have a run round. The owners Jackie and Mike were great so helpful , we even had a cup of tea with them when we left. They gave us a folder with all the local information ie takeaways , bus time table , local numbers to vets etc. This is a brilliant idea as we didn't know the area. The site was looked after with all the pitches having its own bird table to watch. We even seen a woodpecker on our bird table. I can honestly say its the best little campsite we have been and with the personal touch from the owners just topped it off. We will definitely be coming back next year with the rest of the family. The only thing that to go wrong was the weather . Thanks Mike and Jackie for a great few days.

What a super site

I cannot add anything to previous reviews posted except to say we have never had such excellent service from site owners in the past, Mike and Jackie were the most helpful we have come across. On arrival after a 4 hour drive I was not feeling too great and subsequently came down with a chest infection needing antibiotics from the local doctor, Mike called on us every day to see if we were ok and needed anything, a big thank you and very much appreciated, Mike also fixed our jockey wheel which decided to break on arrival another big thank you. This is an excellent well cared for site with helpful owners what more can you ask for? better weather! We will be back next year to enjoy this area of Wales and a super site William and Gill

The perfect place to unwind, and chillax

Jackie and Mike are great hosts and we couldn't ask for any more. The area was beautiful, with peace and tranquility and wildlife in abundance. There is so much to do, it's the choice that is hard. We wanted to sum it up with the following poem... Glanrhos C P Ode We crossed the bridge into Welsh Dragons' Heaven our journey had been from down in South Devon Where we were escaping from gulls and noise from the town to a tranquil spot in mid Wales, which we hoped we had found The journey there was easy as pie and the Welsh air and views were not a lie We arrived at Glanrhos feeling quite jaded but were soon feeling better, with our past feelings faded The sight awaited us was to behold as we pitched the caravan which we had towed Jackie & Mike greeted us with a smile a folder of info, a cuppa and a chat for a while We finished our tea, then pitched without din with barrels and waste connected within The silence was golden and needed at last we had our peace, with a view not surpassed Each pitch has a garden and a bird feeding station which was visited by various birds of the nation There were Woodpeckers, Sparrows, Tits and Magpies as the magestic Red Kites were soaring on high and the much smaller Swifts were catching bugs on the fly One evening there was even a fox laying low by the nature areas which had not been mown There was a farm cat which was friendly and we found that each evening it would be doing the rounds Stalking the paddock on the lookout for tit bits you see, it was part feral, still using it's wits The places we visited were both near and far which we enjoyed finding, with a map and a car A Mansion, Harbours galore and a Bee Farm too a Coracle Museum, and a Woollen Mill were only a few Of the places we saw and enjoyed loads and loads and we had a few mystery trips, as we took different roads It was time to go but we both felt so glum as we looked at this place, our peace in the sun, (and fog sometimes!) So we booked some more nights on our pitch on the hill it was a place we enjoyed and we'd not had our fill So we stayed for more of this wonderful spot with views, peace and campers coming and going a lot Alas, our days again had come to an end however, we have made two special friends But as we travel back across the bridge homeward bound we are comforted in the knowledge that we'll be back, to reclaim our pitch on the mound...

Wonderful

What a wonderful place, with Jackie and Mike at the helm it is one of the best CLs we have stayed at, we have been using CLs for over 40 years now. Jackie and Mike can't do enough for you, nothing is to much trouble. when you arrive you have the loan of a folder with all the local places of interest, places to eat, walks all within a few miles of the site, It has easy access, good size pitches with your own water tap. the pitches are surrounded by a large open expanse of cut grass. I could go on singing the praises of Glanrhos Farm but I want to keep it a secret so there is space for when we visit again.
