A beautiful spot run by wonderful hosts!

Family of 4 with two young boys staying for one night. Easy access, quiet, lovely views and bonus of watching the cows and sheep across the field! The site was safe and secure, with easy access to water, electricity and waste disposal. Suzie and her family were so kind and welcoming and we hope to return!

Organised delight!

In the short time we have been having trips to CL sites we have seen a variety of how well or not sites are equipped for visitors and we have to say that Gate Farm is the best so far! Ideally located just a short ride from Knowle town centre which is a delight with its artisan bakeries and pubs and restaurants and a couple of wine bars to boot. There is also a nice walk along the canal path just outside of Knowle. The CL site looks across a field where a small herd of special breed cattle are kept who are very pleasant neighbours even when they are calling out for their feed :-) Each pitch looks fairly level even tho we did have to use our ramps on Pitch 3 and they have every service ready for you to get connected. The Elsan is just a short walk away and again nicely done with all the right sanitation provided. OK the site is under a flight path from Birmingham Int Airport and you will hear aircraft overhead but its not too intrusive and of course there are less flights right now because of travel restrictions. Overall though we really enjoyed our stay and thought it great value for money and I even agreed with Susie I could work from our MH on the Monday because the WiFi was so good ! Would definitley stay again !

Great site

Just spent a lovely week at this little gem in the midlands. Can’t fault it, friendly welcome, spacious pitches fully serviced. We are e-bikers and find it hard to find cls where it’s possible to bike directly from the site to places of interest so we were really pleased to find this place has a myriad of quiet little country lanes to explore. 2 National trust properties and Hatton Locks (access to towpath through to Warwick) easily within our riding distance. Would thoroughly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay on this lovely site.

On arrival after really precise directions We were greeted at the entrance by Susie who was friendly and welcoming. We were given a key fob for the entrance gate and a well thought out leaflet on where to find everything. The site itself has beautiful views across the countryside and The pitches are level with lots of space to enjoy. Entrance nice and wide. Everything is lovely and clean with the addition of hand sanitiser and disinfect stations. There is a information cabin with free (swap) books and local leaflets inside, unfortunately, this was closed (Covid guidelines) but I will look forward to having a look in there in the future as this site is at the top of my list to return to, due to the fact it’s a perfect place to explore the area and we just needed more time! But as it’s open all year round there will be plenty more opportunities. The walks are spectacular and the Saracens Head pub ( walk) nearby has a varied menu and secluded garden. We also recommend the oaks farm shop and cafe for a lovely breakfast ( we walked ) The owners of this site are lovely family and make you feel really welcome, you can see they have thought about every detail in order to make your stay enjoyable. There’s information on buses and places to visit. , you can be happy just relaxing around the site reading a book, watching the lovely cows in the field opposite ( they have a mad half hour in the evening where they chase each other around, it’s glorious!! ) or exploring further the area. - it has it all. Will definitely be back to Gate Farm.

Fabulous site

We booked for a week and stayed for 2! The welcome from Susie and her family was very warm and there is lots to see and do in the local area. My husband enjoys his fishing, and ventured to Lavender Hall Fisheries, only @ 3 miles away. Again a very warm welcome and easy booking online with well stocked shop Will definitely return to Gate farm. A little gem

Lovely, welcomin and well thought out site

We stayed for 6 nights last week. We were welcomed on arrival, and directed to our pitch, with pleasant views across the pasture. The welcome from Suzie and Steve was very warm and friendly, and having a pitch with its own water and grey waste points was very convenient. During the day, the gate opens automatically, and evenings and night time, a fob is provided to open the gate, so a very convenient and secure access. Yes, it is on the flight path for Birmingham airport, but the aircraft are high enough not to be a nuisance. Having lived directly under the flight path and closer, we didn't have to stop a conversation and wait, we could carry on talking easily. Also, the site is well back from the road, so there is no noise fro what little traffic uses the lane outside. Now we know of this little gem, we will certainly use it again on our future visits to the area (and just hope that it doesn't become so popular that we can't book in LOL). Some things are restricted by Covid, e.g. the information hut, but sanitiser was provided to ensure that hands and facilities were all kept safe at the waste emptying point and the motorhome emptying point (not applicable to us, but good to see that safety was being followed.) Looking forward to our next visit to family in that area, and to returning to Gate Farm.

Lovely, quiet 3 nights stay at Gate Farm

We stayed at Gate Farm from 9 May to 12 May in our motorhome. We were met by Susie who explained the arrangements that satisfied fully the Covid-19 rules. Our pitch was overlooking fields and was very quiet. There were 2 ewes with a total of 5 lambs in one of the fields and it was lovely to see the lambs feeding from their mums. Probably one of the quietest sites we have stayed on. As motorhomers we like to leave the van on site and either walk, cycle or take public transport to get around. Therefore the bus stop at the entrance to the farm was perfect for us. There were also lots of public footpaths nearby. We took the bus into Solihull which surprised us as it was a lovely place, very clean and with plenty of cafes etc in the pedestrianised centre That was well worth a visit. We were not so impressed with Kenilworth to where we had to take 2 buses. Not worth the effort. Susie and her husband have made a great job of setting up their cl site with well spaced out pitches with individual water, waste, and EHU and we shall certainly return in the future.

Lovely stay at Gate Farm

Stayed at Gate Farm for one night, really nice welcome and given key fob and Covid instructions. Very nice peaceful site with lovely views and animals near by. We were really impressed with Mrs Hammetts Covid precautions with good spacing between the units, water on every pitch and hand hand sanitizer stations where necessary. Lovely walks in the area and recommend a visit to Oakes Farm Shop & Cafe. Our second visit and will be returning.

Excellent site in a beautiful area south of Birmingham

As the headings says this is an excellent site in lovely country side with access to many interesting places by bike, by road or just plain walking. Don't go if you want total peace and tranquility as the end of the Birmingham Airport runway is just 5 miles way and the site is on the approach/take off line. Nevertheless it is very well off the road behind secure gates and looks across a nice valley...if you are lucky you might see Barn Owls but a varied array of aircraft made it interesting . All hard stands and very well kept, nice grass and the best toilet disposal I've come across, very easy to deal with, not like a lot of club sites! Owned by long standing caravaners/motor homers who designed the site to be what they thought a CL should offer. In my opinion they have succeeded and their separate web site and site description on the club site is the best I've come across. Definitely on our list of sites to return to.

Lovely place to stay

We had three wonderful days and nights at Gate Farm, the owners were very pleasant and helpful but not over powering. The walk through the fields to the pub was easy and not to far, free maps were on hand at the CL. We wished we had stayed longer, the weather did help as it was lovely warm and sunny, thanks again till next time.
