As it says in the book

Very quiet - even the sheep keep decent hours! I had trouble phoning (no one answered) but owner most accommodating when we did arrive. Slightly disappointing walking - a mile along the road to find some footpaths - but the roads are quiet. Leek is well worth a visit, excellent supplies in the market.

A Welcome Winter Break.

We had a lovely restful four days here in March when there was still plenty of snow around. We arrived in a blizzard, but soon the sun came out, the sky was blue and the view down towards Leek was stunning. All credit to Mr and Mrs Lowe for creating such a peaceful site - a large slightly sloping field with the pitches well spaced out overlooking a beautiful rural landscape - what more could you ask for? Well there is more, a nice modern toilet and shower and the thoughtful provision of a selection of levelling blocks for each pitch to help you set up and last but not least, a nice friendly welcome. There is plenty to do in this area, just on the edge of the Peak District and within easy reach of the Potteries. Rudyard Lake just down the road, the bustling town of Leek just a short distance away with a very handy Sainsbury's. The whole area is full of things to do whatever you enjoy, walking, historic houses, theme parks, shopping to name a few. We look forward to returning to this site soon - in March the overnight temperature was -10C, something we hadn't experienced before, but we still found our stay here restful and comfortable. Heartily recommended!

A hidden gem!

Lovely location - leek is worth a visit! The location is fabulous and quiet, perfect for relaxing. Helpful owners and vans very well spaced out. Shower block clean and tidy.
