Fantastic site

In a great position on the Wolds between Pocklington and market Weighton. Very nicely presented, with pretty level neatly mown turf and boarded by mature shrubs and hedges. Very easy access to the site and each spacious pitch has water and EHU. Excellent area for cycling, with some lovely rides straight from the door. Very helpful information point with maps and places of local interest. Sally is so friendly and the welcome very genuine. We really loved our five night stay and would highly recommend this delightful site as a great base for exploring this lovely part of Yorkshire.

Visit to the East Riding

We enjoyed a 10 night stay here exploring Yorkshire. A lovely site with good facilities and a very warm welcome. Individual water and electric on each pitch made for a much more relaxing stay. Lots to do and see and dog friendly. Thank you!

Lovely CL

Lovely stay at Common Farm Cl Everingham near Pocklington, Yorkshire, mid way between York and Hull. Booked through CL Booking website with a quick response from Sally. Well maintained spacious grass site with electric hook up and tap on each pitch. A friendly welcome from Sally on arrival. Maps available to borrow and details of local walks, wildlife, cafes and pubs too. Lovely area for cycling & walking. Pocklington & Burnby Gardens well worth a visit. Highly recommend this lovely CL site.

Peaceful with easy access

We spent 3 nights at Common Farm. A well placed and well kept site comprising of a very large field with EHU and water to each pitch. No hardstanding but the ground was firm even after several down pours during our stay. The short cut grass helps with this I am sure. The site is alongside a bridleway which I am sure would make a good dog walk. There is a lovely walk direct from the site which is a couple of hours and several more are highlighted on the maps you can borrow for the purpose. Cycling is good with plenty of hills f you want them and a decent flat ride if you prefer. Sally kindly allowed us to put our bikes in the shed which meant no awning required :-) Sally is very friendly, (we didn't meet Graham) it is certainly a site we would use again. The photos show the site some years ago, it is now enclosed by a medium height hedge and small trees making it very pleasant and secluded.

Stunning

A wonderful site , we leave tomorrow after a week of outstanding enjoyment! A great welcome from Sally and Graham. Ideal for dogs , and local attractions. The Goodmanham arms is quirky and enjoyable . The Indian restaurant just up the road is outstanding! Planning our return before we leave must be a recommendation!!!

Excellent Site

Only staying one night on our way from Norfolk to Seahouses, which is a shame because it is a lovely little site and so well placed for exploring. Huge pitches with electricity and water provided. Great on site dog walk through farmland. Our dogs loved it. Some of these little sites are so much better than the big busy ones. Will definitely come back here.

all good

This is an ideal cl, everything you need is there. great dog walk on site as well as other footpaths and bridleways a short hop away. Easy access off the main A1079 road and 5 minutes down the lane.Plenty of quiet roads for cycling and a very peaceful site, disregard the comment re children's party on one afternoon. Sally and Graham very welcoming and hospitable.

Tidy peaceful CL

After reading review regarding noise we were a little sceptical about using Common Farm but as it was a late booking and was in the area we wanted we decided to book. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed by Graham and pitched on No 1 which was slightly sloping front to back but nothing to worry about, the other pitches appear to be the same and the grass was well mown so no wet doggy feet in the van. As we were there for 12 nights we saw quite a few people come and go and every time one left Graham came round and mowed the vacant pitch and don’t know where the mower was from but it was the quietest we’ve heard. Sally was very welcoming and friendly, meeting all new people on arrival. The only noise we heard was the wonderful dawn chorus and saw an assortment of beautiful birds on the site and in the air with red kites ,I walked the dog down to the lake and a buzzard took off from the field. Walking down the Lane one morning we saw 5 deer in the field, so if you want a quiet well kept site that’s handy for York, Driffield,Beverley, and Bridlington with a friendly Yorkshire welcome give it a try.

Beautiful site

We had a great stay at this delightful site. The owners were very welcoming and informative. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the wildlife and visiting the nearby market towns. We found the site to be very peaceful.

Shame about the noise review?

We were also on our very first visit to this site and arrived the day when the owners had a family get together on the Sunday afternoon (18th Aug) and feel the review by way2lander was somewhat harsh. All we heard was the delightful sounds of children enjoying themselves in a paddling pool and subdued adult laughter, certainly not loud or at a level to disturb us. Mrs Wilkinson did come over the following day to say their son had a family house warming party and hoped we weren't disturbed to much by the noise. In addition she gave us info regarding the local area, including how to park for free at the Beverley Race course. There was even OS maps available to borrow in the information box plus walks on the Wolds. Yes, we did hear an occasional dog bark (whether from the farm or dogs on numerous pitches on site we couldn't tell), but certainly no more than you would expect from a working farm. We found this a lovely, tranquil and well kept site (tap on every pitch!) with great local walks, we will most certainly be revisiting.
