What a gem

This was only our second ever stay on a CL and what a gem we found. Easy to book and we were kept well informed at all stages as to codes, etc. Ted was very helpful in suggesting walks, places to visit, etc. and visited us everyday just to check that all was good. If the weather had been slightly warmer, I sure we would have spent more time on site looking at the wonderful view, relaxing and seeing the birdlife. Wifi was first rate and very easy to use. Can't comment about the TV reception as we don't take a TV with us when caravanning. If there is a down point, be prepared for a fairly long and quite rough drive way down to the pitches. Will definitely stay again when in the area. Thanks again for a lovely few days.

A fantastic little gem

A great site. Wonderful views of the countryside. The owner, Ted, couldn't be more helpful. Great local walks (very hilly though). Only 30 miles from home, but first time we've really explored the Chilterns. Stayed a week, but could easily have stayed longer. Will definitely be returning in the future.

Everything one needs and lovely views.

Lovely site, friendly owner, plenty of walks direct from site, stunning views. Minor point, site wifi connection wasn't that good for us. Phone and 4g reception very good and we used our mifi. Positives that stood out for us: Lots of useful information provided after booking. Wheelbarrow provided to help take toilet cassette to chemical disposal point. Rubbish bins close, but not too close, to site. Owner Ted is very welcoming and available if we had any issues. He has the right amount of friendliness without becoming obtrusive. Short stretch of narrow lane to access site but not a problem as Ted keeps you informed of other vehicle comings and goings. On departure, he even went out of his way to cycle along the lane to ensure that we had a clear run. We plan to return to this site in the future.

Wonderful views

My second stay at this immaculate site with fully serviced pitches and awesome Wifi. Stunning uninterrupted views across the Chilterns with the occasional deer and red kites overhead. Tried a couple of walks from the site, cherry picking one day and meeting deer in the woods the other. The village of Ibstone has a large village green with cricket pitch and village pub. Easy access to Marlow, Henley on Thames, Windsor and Oxford. Even London is only 30 minutes by train from nearby High Wycombe. Wonderful friendly owners who respect your privacy but are their if you need them. Trying to find a gap in my diary for the next visit.

Great customer service

Ted makes your stay at this very quiet & peaceful site, totally stress-free, with excellent communication and help when you arrive. To begin with, I had to change the dates of our visit at the last-minute, due to the imminent arrival of Storm Dennis - no problem: Ted just changed the booking dates. Access to the site must be from the M40 side (follow the directions), or you will end up on some very narrow roads that are not very car-friendly, let alone twin-axle caravan-friendly ! Take notice of Ted's directions and beware that the turn in is quite difficult to spot if you are going too fast. There is a very long, single-width access drive, so take extra care with a large outfit. The pitches are flat and fully serviced - perfect - no Aquaroll changing in the middle of the night. The electric is metered but we only used around £4.00 for 2 nights and we run everything on mains, when we have a hook-up ! The only slight downside is that the chemical toilet disposal site is quite a trek back up the narrow access track, but . . . . Ted has thoughtfully provided a wheelbarrow for your use ! Took the dogs for a walk just before midnight and the torch scarily picked out about 2 dozen pairs of eyes staring at me from the adjacent field ! (Turned out to be a nightime visit from a herd of wild deer !) Didn't have chance to explore much of the surrounding area as we were only there for 2 nights, but our trip into the village of Turville for a pub dinner with the dogs provided a real sense of deja vu . . . . until I realised that it was the filming location for one of my favourite TV dramas; Goodnight Mr Tom. This was confirmed by the pub landlord of The Bull & Butcher, who also turned out to be the current owner of Mr Tom's house in the program ! If you are looking for a real quiet, countryside location with all services provided, this is well worth a visit. Thanks Ted !

Ideal get away

A welcome return to this wonderful site. You could sit by your caravan all day just watching the Red Kites. Lots of walks from site, maps are available from Ted. Booking could not be easier and very professional. Ted welcomes you following your arrival and is always on hand if you need any information. Hopefully making a return visit in 2021.

Excellent Site. Highly rated.

I stayed for just under a week at Cholsey Grange the first week we were allowed out in our caravans after the lockdown. Finally, as I was originally booked to go in March! Ted is wonderful at keeping up with his emails and general communication and even friendlier in person. A joy to deal with. As was staying at his amazing CL. Great pitches, serviced right down to excellent WiFi. We did a fair few walks from the OS App, that all started right on the site, so super easy, with beautiful countryside to walk in and explore. Living in London as I do, this is such a convenient location for me to visit, that I've already booked two more trips here. That says it all doesn't it?

Wonderful location and owners

We have stayed at Cholsey Grange many times and love the setting and wonderful owners Ted and Jackie. For the views and peace and Tranquility it is second to none. It's location is ideally suited to be a base for exploring the Chilterns, River Thames and Windsor. We will be back. The Buicks
