A great base for the area

Great location for exploring this part of Wales. Quiet, clean, relatively new facilities and a very friendly welcome. A great base for walking in the Blaclk mountains or for visiting this part of Wales.

Such a friendly stay

We stayed for 6 nights on Steph and Nick's site in July. As others have said - it is a lovely site. Well kept with a toilet and shower which is always clean. What really makes this site is the owners. They so deserve the success they are having with this lovely CL which they are further developing all the time. Within easy reach of many places of interest and of course beautiful scenery, we hope to return soon.

Great CL

I highly recommended this beautiful CL which is in a beautiful location.   Lovely family who are very welcoming and enjoy sharing their interest in their sheep, goats, chickens and ducks.  Excellent facilities, well maintained.  The site has 3 hardstandings at present, soon to be upgraded to 5.  Bus stops outside of CL, also another bus from the village just a short walk away. We had a very good Sunday lunch at the Goose and Cuckoo - you need to book to be sure of a table.

Ideal getaway

Perfect, peaceful, lovely countryside location. Facilities excellent. Owners Nick and Steph and son Phillip were so kind and helpful on our arrival on June 21st this year. This site is a little gem and the ideal getaway.

great cl

This is our third visit to this cl, nick and steph are great owners if you have never been here before you will enjoy it, it's not far to the village and there are a few pubs and shops there. The toilet and shower are immaculate and the site is very quiet. Occasionally you can see the red kite's flying above especially when the farmer is cutting his field.Thank you for a lovely weekend.

Superb CL

This is a real gem of a CL with standards that would match any Club site. The toilets and shower were always clean and kept to a high standard. The owners are very friendly and helpful and richly deserve praise for their CL. The views are lovely and it is an ideal place to use as a base to visit the surrounding area. Also just down the road is found the Red Kite feeding centre which is well worth a visit. The CL is located on the edge of the village and a five minute walk will take you into the centre of the village where there are two pubs (a third is opening in June). The pub we visited didn't do food but the beer was good! (Gower bitter). But if you want pub food, try the Goose and Cuckoo pub across the road. Locals said the Sunday lunch is superb but alas, when we tried to book on the Saturday, it was fully booked so book early! Instead we booked Sunday lunch at the little café found near the railway crossing on the outskirts of the village. Very nice food (we had wild boar with roasties and veg) and the bill won't leave you gasping for air! To reach the CL, we travelled via the A470 to Brecon then onto the A40 to Llandovery. Then we took the A4069 to Llangadog. This route takes you to the outskirts of the village where the CL is located. I do not recommend staying on the A40 past Llandovery as this route will take you to the opposite end of the village. The streets and corners in the village are narrow plus parked cars on both sides, making for a stressful drive through the village! (you also have tractors with trailers going through the village).

Excellent site

Just started using CL's after many years of Caravan Club or commercial sites.  This is the best CL we've come across to date & will be hard to beat.  Excellent shower & wc.  Friendly owners & very well kept site.  Can't comment on public transport as used our motor bike, but seems to be lots of buses & trains nearby.  If in the area again will definitely visit again.

Just come back from a long weekend away at Barons Court , every thing about the site was brilliant including Steph and Nick the owners , the area is perfect for a chill out (with its close proximity to the village a bonus ) We will definitely be back again and good luck to Steph and Nick for their warm hospitality . Good luck for the future

A Very Warm Welcome

We stayed twelve nights Feb/March. Owing to the car breaking down on the way we did not arrive until 10.30 at night, but Nick was at the front to direct us and Steph was at the entrance to the site ensuring we could get sited. A very warm welcome was given after the traumatic journey. Nick and Steph could not have been more helpful during our stay on an excellent site. Everything in the description is accurate. In addition there is a magnificent array of leaflets about the area and in the winter when the information offices are closed the information was very welcome. There is also a library of books to borrow during your stay. Not only is there a booking form but a receipt is automatically given for the site fee! The facilities are excellent making it a nice a tidy site. We used our own Shower and toilet as usual, but the site shower and toilet are immaculate. I know that the CL is not responsible for the weather, but our first week even that was laid on, cold but sunny, the second week we did get snow, sleet, rain, wind and sun but that did not effect the pleasure of using the site. The shop and the butcher ten minutes away were both more than adequate for our needs and the meat was spectacular. We will go back for more. Thank you Nick and Steph.
