We stayed on this CL for a week at the beginning of August, along with our daughter, son in law and grandchildren. What a wonderful welcome we received from Keith and what a perfect site. There is so much space and nice views on this very well kept site. It was great having our own tap on the pitch and access was easy. We will definitely return!
Brilliant site
Fantastic site, well kept and the owners are very helpful. There is good access and with water and electricity at each pitch it’s very hard to beat. We love it and will be back.

what a lovely site
This is one of the best cl,s we have been to, stayed here along with our son and his partner the owners were very helpful and very welcoming people, along with the rest of their family, free range eggs and an immaculate site it was a dream we will certainly be visiting this beautiful site way out in the countryside well done mr,mrs brandrick and thank you for your hard work.
A lovely site
We’ve just had a lovely weekend at this beautifully kept site.
We wanted somewhere peaceful and relaxing for our first time out in the campervan after lockdown and Aston Heath Farm didn’t disappoint. We read some of the previous reviews that mentioned the noise from the A50, but we honestly couldn’t say it bothered us.
We had a grass pitch which was pretty level. All the pitches are well spaced out and the tap at each one is very convenient. There is a field at the front is ideal for walking the dog.
Obviously restrictions are still in place and we all had to adhere to social distancing. But the owners are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We will definitely be staying again.
Start of year break!
We intended to use this site as a base for walking in the white peaks and also visit some NT locations, on both counts this site delivered.
We booked a hard standing and found them on the small side: However, after unloading we parked our car in the large car park near the B&B arm of their business.
Taps are on each pitch for water so we plumbed in and saved on tank emptying. Plenty of electric points to couple up to. Owner came and introduced himself and was very welcoming. He informed us he had a problem with the shower room and was working on it while we stayed.
Unfortunately we were not able to use the shower room and as we did not have an on board shower in our caravan, we had to resort to a wash down after our walks.
The approach lanes are very narrow, but with careful driving not a problem.
All in all a nice friendly site which is nearby a major route (A50) so easy to get to your locations and noise was not intrusive at all for us.
We would certainly use again.
First Time Out
We spent the whole weekend here testing out our new caravan. Easy access great pitches and location, the owner was always available for questions and advice, facilities were clean and tidy, local pubs in the area were fantastic, would recommend The Swan Inn for amazing pies, just 8 mins away. Definitely return.

Lovely site with scenic views
We have just returned home from a pleasant 4 night stay on this lovely site. We stayed on the grass area which was pretty level and had lots of room and our own water tap which is very unusual on a cl site. The grounds were immaculate and the grass seemed to get cut every day, the drive way into the site was very well kept. There was a very small amount of traffic noise in the distance but you can sit out by your van admiring the view with no problems and we did not find it at all intrusive. The toilet and shower we found to be always very clean.
This site is in our top 10 CL sites and would most definitely return again and recommend.
A gem of place
As returning guests to Keith's site, we are indeed, very happy campers. If you are after space, peace, places of interest, clean basic facilities, a warm welcome, space to roam whether you're a child, dog or adult, it's all here.
There is a distant noise of the A50, but I wouldn't call it bothersome at all. The noises that grace our van are of pheasants strutting their stuff on the regularly attended to lawn, partridges giggling in the hedgerows, squirrels playing together on the driveway and the birds tweeting away.
Keith is on hand if he's needed and flexible with guests needs. We are after all staying at his family home and he goes out of his way to make us feel welcome every time.
In the warmer months it's a pleasure to see families here, especially little children with their dogs, running round together on the grass.
A great find, glad to have found somewhere to call home every time we visit.
Christmas get together
Brilliant!
We were 5 vans meeting up for our annual Christmas get together. We just happened to choose a weekend with the largest snowfall and lowest temperatures for years 🌨️. The owner called us a few days before, checked we were OK to come given the weather and explained over the phone how best to position our 5 vans for ease of setting up when in the dark on Friday eve, we had one van with a large awning for socialising and the owner was more than happy for us to use his large grassed area even though it was terrible weather and risked damage to his grass.
We made sure we put matting down on grass to limit damage of all the people going in and out of the awning so I think all was OK!
The site is clean and tidy, the hard standing is flat or as close as you need it to be, the views are stunning and you would have no idea you were 3 mins from the a50 other than some road noise! The site is quiet, there is a heated toilet and shower room and as you're close to major routes, getting out and about is no issue!
On the Sunday before waking up and through the morning we had some huge snow fall.. The owner was super cool and suggested the roads were open and safe and instructed us on getting off the site safely where it has a slight sloap which you wouldn't notice unless your 1.5 tonne van suddenly started pushing your car 🤓 and we didn't need that! ... But he also suggested we just leave the vans with him at no extra cost till it was safe to pick them up (we were only an hour away) as it was we all left safely on the day.. Even though the snow was heavy enough to build a 7ft snowman ⛄
I can imagine a summer weekend with us all together using the grass to pay games with the kids and sit out drinking wine and watching the stars at night...
In essence its a great site for a weekend away a change of scenery and just to get away from the daily grind for a bit.. The owner is attentive and flexible without being in your face... A lovely site 🤠
Hope to go back for a warm weekend
Useful stopover spot
The last review is a bit puzzling. I have stopped on this site before and seen members of the club parked on the grassed area and all indications are that this grassed area is part and parcel of the CL with 4 Hardstanding pitches set alongside the grass for winter use or when the grass is too wet. So I'm at a loss as to the owners alleged response. There is no demarcation from one area to the other and I assume there would need to be as all other CLs that I have stayed on with another space set out for Caravans/MHs have had some sort of barrier between the two.
On saying all that I would say that the site is well situated, particularly for a cross country run, not far off the A52, well managed with a wet room that is perfectly acceptable. However road noise can be heard from the main road and as the A52 is a busy road can be intrusive. The site itself is found on a back lane which needs care. The owners are pleasant but not in your face.
With regard to the closeness of the Hardstandings I would agree that they are close together and not really suitable if you want to spend a holiday on them and erect an awning but for a few nights it was fine for us. You can easily leave your car in the entrance to the cl or on the grass. Would we stop again? Not sure but would probably manage for a night or so at most. Those wishing to stay in summer should have no problems on the grass as pitches look more spacious.
