Hi everyone. A tweet from Kirsty at Morrisons confirms that they are on board with Safefill. Filling is now allowed at all their sites. Show the cylinder to the cashier and away you go. This is great news for those who use gas and want to save money.

Congratulations to Safefill for your dogged determination to bring this product to market against overwhelming odds! The first crack has appeared in the dam! Thanks to all those who wrote to Morrison’s to ask why they couldn’t fill and thanks to Morrison’s for approaching this with an open and enquiring mind to cut through the rumours lies and propaganda surrounding this exceptional product. It is a better world today for the LPG user.

At the moment I can fill my safefill bottle locally and really thats what interests me.

I know I can also fill it in the Netherlands so thats great.  I'm sorry that you feel you have been driven away from your own thread by other people (being polite). Again thanks for the advice over the years Merve.  This will be my last comment on this thread

Merve, I have been following your threads on off-grid for a long time, especially the safefill info. Thank you for all of it. I haven't acted on any of it yet, but have just acquired a new smaller van with a solar panel, and I'm getting tight on payload. Not having to carry two large gas containers would be a real boost. I appreciate all the effort you put into this.

Yep, there is no doubt. I wanted to double check before going to my local store.

After an exchange of emails with Rita of customer services, where I had to fully explain my enquiry (probably my fault not explaining it correctly in the first place) I had an email back giving the go ahead to fill at any store that serves LPG

(Is this better than a tweet, who knows!?)

Anyway, big thanks to you Merve for steering me towards refillable gas bottles. After looking at all the available makes and options I chose a Safefill as it fitted my needs.

Nothing to do with your so called "advertising of the brand"

Later this year I will break even and then mega cheap gas there after!

(PS: When are you going to do a full write up on your lithium battery install and associated kit??)

Hi harrib0. I knew the tweet was genuine as I had kept my ear firmly to the ground but at least you have confirmed it! That’s good news. Glad you got sorted with a Safefill. You’ll not look back, I can assure you! But then you probably know that already. 🤣 And thanks for your kind comments- all I really try to do is help my fellow ‘vanners. Safefill does tick most boxes. As regards the Lithium, I have made a third attempt with Gary Martin, editor of the club mag and after a very frank discussion I was assured that they have a free hand with what goes in the mag. I have sent him a write up and Rowena has had hers for what she wanted to do re offgrid caravanning. So, I hope it will be in mag soon. In the meantime:

Thanks Chris, these comments mean a lot to me. Brilliant news! 13.67 Lts  £7.91!! I raise a glass to you. That equates to about 6.5kgs- Calor price £26. It speaks for itself doesn’t it?
