Hi everyone. A tweet from Kirsty at Morrisons confirms that they are on board with Safefill. Filling is now allowed at all their sites. Show the cylinder to the cashier and away you go. This is great news for those who use gas and want to save money.

Congratulations to Safefill for your dogged determination to bring this product to market against overwhelming odds! The first crack has appeared in the dam! Thanks to all those who wrote to Morrison’s to ask why they couldn’t fill and thanks to Morrison’s for approaching this with an open and enquiring mind to cut through the rumours lies and propaganda surrounding this exceptional product. It is a better world today for the LPG user.

This is another thread where the club, if it so wished, could assist members by asking Morrison’s to give them, the club, a statement confirming that they, Morrison’s, allowed the filling of Safefill bottles.

Really Davesealed?? One of CMHC s sponsers  is Calor.

As I have said many times, the road to here for Safefill has been filled with landmines and potholes. they have endured untold hardships to get the product to this stage And still it goes on! I am neither linked to Safefill or recieve any kind of remuneration from them - I do it because its a great product and I want to spread good news

Well Fancy that - a quick check by someone who wants to know actually comes up with a little bit of the jigsaw! -  well, not only has the cylinder passed the trial-, it has also been accepted and filling is commencing! and anyone who thinks of or wants to sow confusion on here regarding the legallity of such a move by Morrisons, I suggest you tackle their legal dept and argue with them. Morrisons will have gone into the tiniest detail of the Safefill Cylinder and will have checked the Red Guide & made sure that St 26 is being re written. They will not have taken the smallest risk with such an important matter!! SAFEFILL IS ACCEPTED BY MORRISONS as safe!! As I said above, I will personally post the Official Statement from the company as soon as I get it. I hope this can help to bring this to a close now and I look forward to the next large outlet taking on Safefill. I said 5 years ago that Safefill was too good a product not to succeed. More outlets will come on board now- its inevitable!

I dont know about the Mormons but Ill wait for the Official Statement from Morrisons. If thats not enough DD then get on with it. (you dont work for calor do you??) You miss the point completely! Morrisons are filling Safefill cylinders. Period!! So you are asking if Morrisons can be trusted to do the job properly?? I dont wish to be rude or objectionable but give it up DD , its becoming irksome!

Merve, I have no axe to grind but I think that you are grossly misinterpreting [Deleted User User]s post and taking offence where there is none.

For your information folks. At 18.45pm on Thursday the 2nd August, I telephoned customer services at Morrisons. I spoke to Asha who put me through to the correct department. I spoke to Matt and explained that confusion was being spread on the forums regarding the refilling of Safefill Cylinders that Morrisons were now filling having accepted them as safe. He told me he would ring and ‘dig deeper’ into this. He has just rung me back. He has confirmed that Morrisons are now filling Safefill Cylinders and that they must be Safefill Cylinders. They are going to send me an official statement through my email so that I can copy and paste onto the forum! That I will do as soon as I receive it. Perhaps then we can move on!! I’ll probably be accused of making it all up after that- wouldn’t surprise me at all. Those of you who are holding back on buying a cylinder- I hope to reassure you in the next day or two so that you can buy your cylinders with an easy mind!

Merve... I admire your drive to teach others about safefill, and it’s advantages, and I would definitely have safefill if I knew I would have no issues refining the cylinders.....

but unfortunately I think you are missing the point

If Morrisons are allowing safefill refilling then they should have a link, on their official website, clearly explaining the rules, and a sign in each fuel station also showing this.

To suggest they will send a private email to a member of the public, for them to pass on to others, really beggars belief.

If you have a contact in Morrisons, please push them to publish it on their website. That’s the place it needs to be, and that’s where it will have the most affect.

I have no contact in Morrisons onepjg. It maybe that they haven’t got around to your suggestions yet and maybe they are in the pipeline but what irks me is a complete refusal to believe me by some until they get some other form of proof. It is so easy to get that proof. I absolutely agree that something on their website would help and if I get a chance I will mention it but I think an official Statement will do for now don’t you?  It’s brand new so let’s give them a little time to sort it.

DD. I really don’t know what your beef is with Safefill but you obviously have one. You may as well come out and call me a liar and con artist!! You accuse me of ‘advertising ‘ Safefill but you are equally passionate about putting everything I say down and trying to disprove it. You sow doubts in the minds of people who wish to break away from the stranglehold of Calor and co and generally pick at anything to try to prove that this is illegal or something!  I have every respect for your position and your arguments but they just happen to be wrong! The facts are these. Safefill has been accepted by Morrisons and as such, we can be damn sure that they have been through all the legal niceties that is demanded by such a decision including the Red Guide and the UKLPG sht 26. It is a new and ground breaking decision and will take time to be fully implemented as regards websites etc- it will not be long before the information will be found on Safefills website and I am sure that it will appear on Morrisons very soon but these things take a little time to achieve so please, give them some time. I find it amazing that, having admitted on here that you are not happy with Safefill that you continue to involve yourself with this thread. Or is it me? Perhaps you have a problem with me? Let me assure you that all I am doing is not promoting Safefill, I am merely telling Safefill users one of which is me, that more fill points have arrived - and, may I say that the fill points for Safefill are increasing all the time- virtually by the day, again something I predicted would happen. You busy yourself with things like the Red Guide and Sht 26 without really knowing the politics that are going on in the background. I do! Please put your mind at rest and  accept that all legalities have been addressed by Safefill, Morrisons and the host of increasing retailers now prepared to fill Safefill cylinders. Safefill has become mainstream and it is causing certain people an awful lot of headaches simply by being there. Safefill has brought everyone who has a leisure vehicle one thing- CHOICE! If you are not interested , that’s fine or you want another system for refillables, that’s fine too but don’t keep doubting what’s in front of you as large as life- that Safefill has been accepted by every single regulating authority and not found wanting You ask me for a link to this and a link to that as though I am being less than honest. That is not my job but I see where you are coming from. All will come clear, all will be revealed, and until it is, the good people in this thread can rest assured that Safefill has been accepted by Morrisons and a host of new fill points and nothing you or I say will alter that. I have promised to produce their Official Statement on here and you haven’t had the grace to wait until I can do that.  I do hope you will accept what I say but if not then there is little I can say or do to prove it. Time will cure all as they say. I said some years back that the Safefill Cylinder would become the default cylinder of choice- I still believe that and from what I see on Twitter and other SM outlets, it’s coming true. Apart from posting Morrisons Official Statement on here, my job is done. I hope more people can now save money by using Safefill Cylinders. I know that you will have the last word in this and I wish you well.
