Hi everyone,

We wanted you to be the first to know about a new member offer with My Esso Card. The My Esso Card is a fuel card that provides savings at 1,300 Esso fuel stations to help drive down the cost of touring. Members are guaranteed to save on fuel at every Esso station across the UK with the only consumer facing fuel card.

We are the only organisation within the touring industry able to provide this offer to members.

What is the saving?

On average members will typically save 8p per litre on premium diesel or unleaded fuel and 5p per litre on standard diesel or unleaded fuel. That’s a typical saving of £5.60 per tank on premium fuel or £3.50 on standard fuel (based on 70 litre tank of fuel).

The saving varies based on the My Esso Card special rate and the Esso pump price rate. In the unlikely event that the pump price is lower than the My Esso Card special rate members are guaranteed to save 1p per litre on the pump price. You can use the My Esso Card to fill up all your vehicles, not just the one you tour with.

There are no fees to sign up and no transaction or processing fees. You can also earn your Tesco Clubcard points when filling up.

We are also running a competition for members for a chance to win free fuel.

To launch this great new offer, My Esso Card are giving Caravan and Motorhome Club members an exclusive chance to win free fuel. 10 lucky winners will win 175 litres of fuel and another 10 lucky winners 75 litres of fuel!  Members need to register for a card and fill by 31 December 2018 to be entered into the random prize draw.  Winners will automatically have the fuel credit added to their My Esso Card account.

To find out more about this member offer visit My Esso Card Member Offer on the Club website

Surfer there have been a lot of posts on this thread about things going wrong with the card promotion. It's no ones fault except the provider's operation. No doubt if you have a card you should expect it to work and at least you have all been able to air your views on here.

i do not entirely agree, the club were responsible for promoting this fuel card on behalf of the members, and if you trawl back a million miles i think it was ecommerce1 (staff) who said this deal was 2 years in the making, and i think i responded with the statement that somebody should be walking the plank if this was the case.

This is the 2nd promotion re fuel cards screwed up by the club. The Shell card was originally issued as all Shell stations, quickly withdrawn and re-issued as motorway service stations only. I seem to recall pump king was the provider of the Shell card.

With regards to the Esso card we are still waiting the results of the so called prize draw, if it has ever taken place, we have also been promised new cards by the 18th Feb. I am one of the lucky ones and my original card still works, many dont. It will be interesting to see how pump king handle this change over.

But by and large in all of this the club have remained silent. This in my mind is not good enough, they should have been proactive and maybe cancelled the whole promotion or sent somebody to sit on pump king until this shambles was sorted.

We are the only organisation within the touring industry able to provide this offer to members.

would be interesting to know just how much the club stand or should i say stood to make out of all this

In defence of the Club, I would say that they have been helpful in facilitating the cancellation of my account and deletion of bank details. I had a message from Megan this morning confirming that is now the case. I’m just happy to have nothing to do with this scheme or Pump King ever, ever again.

The problem is, Seaside Bill that you probably will never know if your account and bank details have, in fact, been Deleted User. We have seen so many promises from the Club and Pump King that things will be done and by when that turn out not to be true - delivery dates for the cards a very good example. I'm still awaiting a promised £5.00 credit on my account.

"We have been working to establish a more efficient and enhanced offering, and as a result all cardholders will be receiving a new membership card by Monday 18th February."

Has anyone received their card yet?

You could ask your bank for a new debit card if you want to be safe.

My experience so far has been wonderful.

Been using the card for over four weeks and they have yet to charge anything to my bank account cool
