Hi everyone,

We wanted you to be the first to know about a new member offer with My Esso Card. The My Esso Card is a fuel card that provides savings at 1,300 Esso fuel stations to help drive down the cost of touring. Members are guaranteed to save on fuel at every Esso station across the UK with the only consumer facing fuel card.

We are the only organisation within the touring industry able to provide this offer to members.

What is the saving?

On average members will typically save 8p per litre on premium diesel or unleaded fuel and 5p per litre on standard diesel or unleaded fuel. That’s a typical saving of £5.60 per tank on premium fuel or £3.50 on standard fuel (based on 70 litre tank of fuel).

The saving varies based on the My Esso Card special rate and the Esso pump price rate. In the unlikely event that the pump price is lower than the My Esso Card special rate members are guaranteed to save 1p per litre on the pump price. You can use the My Esso Card to fill up all your vehicles, not just the one you tour with.

There are no fees to sign up and no transaction or processing fees. You can also earn your Tesco Clubcard points when filling up.

We are also running a competition for members for a chance to win free fuel.

To launch this great new offer, My Esso Card are giving Caravan and Motorhome Club members an exclusive chance to win free fuel. 10 lucky winners will win 175 litres of fuel and another 10 lucky winners 75 litres of fuel!  Members need to register for a card and fill by 31 December 2018 to be entered into the random prize draw.  Winners will automatically have the fuel credit added to their My Esso Card account.

To find out more about this member offer visit My Esso Card Member Offer on the Club website

I think we need a response from Rowena who said she was looking into it?

I agree. We all signed up to this based on an offer promoted by the Club so they do have some responsibility in this matter. Yes, our contract is with PK Fuels but I signed up with a CAMC referral code and have a CAMC branded card so the Club must have an agreement with PK Fuels to allow that to happen.

I think it must be a very deep hole, judging from the lack of a response, either way!undecided

I reported a post upstream in the vain hope of getting  response but nothing as yet.

same fiasco with the Shell Card and although i do not have one, i believe that was also Pumking related, just maybe CAMHC have some sort of business interest in PK?, they were very quick to promote this card in the early stages, but now silence undecided

Cannot find any relationship between WEX & PK and yet my card has the WEX logo, and interestingly it has CAMC embossed over my name, still if i can fill up and not be billed for 10 days or more, I am happylaughing

Interestingly ecommerce1 stated this on the 23/11 2018

quote

Esso is a highly reputable company, the Club has agreement between WEX (Esso) and PK Fuel Ltd (re-seller) The reason why this offer has taken over two years is that we need to know that members data, the Clubs reputation will not be damaged.

unquote

me thinks they have gotten in a bit deep, not thought through the total business case, although WEX have been issuing fuel cards for a good number of years,  and gotten in deep do da, but my guess is that it will all be resolved and we can revert to a normal lifelaughing

Come on CAMC let’s have some answers over this, like many others I applied for the deal, no card, no calls answered, no emails answered, if we don’t get some positive answers soon This is going to reflect very badly on the club, especially when it comes to renewal time. The ball is in your court.

Rufs, I would be a bit cautious there. If their incompetence allows them to not bill you for 10 days+ that same incompetence will more than likely allow them to double bill you, as has been shown in earlier posts on this thread.yell

here what you are saying, and yes this is a fiasco, but that is not my experience fortunately, i seem to be one of the lucky ones, got 2 cards very promptly, have used 1 card which is registered on the site with no issues, long may it continue, it is saving me money

If it has taken 2 years how come the company PK Fuel was only registered in April 2018 in England however with the payment system outside the EEA so our data can be used in anyway and we will have no say over the way it is handled?

It would also be interesting to have input why the original website for "myessocard" disappeared without any notice and also why the T&Cs were changed and no one notified of that either.

If the T&Cs were changed without any one being notified does this mean that those who signed up prior to 16th Jan can still use the card under the old T&Cs which actually allows you to fill your tank from empty and does not have an admin charged for purchase under £15?

Your input is valued!
